      • 뇌 관련 신경외과 수술 시 Mobile CT의 임상적 적용과 유용성 평가

        목적 두부전용 이동형 CT인 Mobile CT scan을 pre., intra., postoperative imaging scan으로 분류하고 이를 뇌 관련 신경외과 수술에 선택적으로 적용하여 Mobile CT scan의 그 적용성과 임상적인 유용성에 관하여 알아보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 보라매병원 신경외과에 내원하여 2010년 8월부터 2011년 12월까지 뇌 관련 신경외과 수술을 받은 환자 총 296명을 대상으로 수술 및 환자의 상태에 따라 Mobile CT scan을 pre., intra., postoperative imaging scan으로 분류하고 scan protocol은 brain noncontrast와 contrast를 이용하여 선택적으로 시행하였으며 신경외과 전문의의 자문을 얻어 실제적으로 획득되는 임상적 가치 및 유용성을 평가하였다. 결과 Mobile CT의 preoperative imaging scan은 환자의 수술 직전 뇌 상태 확인과 응급수술을 요하는 환자의 수술 계획을 위한 base image를 획득할 수 있었고, intraoperative imaging scan은 intraoperative events를 monitoring하고 병변 및 brain의 새로운 위치와 병변의 제거 정도 등의 수술 진행 정보를 제공하였다. Postoperative imaging scan에서는 수술 직후 수술 부위의 이상 소견 여부를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 뇌 관련 신경외과 수술 시 적용한 Mobile CT의 pre., intra., postoperative imaging scan은 수술 계획의 진행 정도 확인과 뇌 및 환자 상태를 실시간으로 monitoring할 수 있어 효과적으로 환자 안전 및 수술의 정확성과 성공률을 높이는데 유용할 것으로 사료된다. I. Purpose Portable Computed Tomography, Mobile CT scan is classified into pre., intra., postoperative imaging scan. It would be applied selectively to discoverits application and clinically usability. II. Object and Method The subject of this experiment was based en 296 patients who visited department of neurosurgery, Boramae Medical Center from August 2010 to December 2011. I classified Mobile CT scan into pre., intra., postoperative imaging scan and conducted scan protocol by using noncontrast and contrast selectively and they were evaluated by advice of neurosurgical specialist. III. Result Preoperative imaging scan of Mobile CT could obtain brain status and base image of patients, who need emergency operation, before operation. Intraoperative scan could monitor intraoperative events with offering progressive information of brain and also could shaw removal degrees of lesions, In postoperative case, it could confirm abnormality opinion of surgery areas, IV. Conclusions Pre., intra. and postoperative imaging scan of Mobile CT are useful for confirming progress of operation plan, monitoring of brain with patients’ status in neurosurgical operation associated with brain. In my opinion, selective application of Mobile CT scan could be used effectively for caring patients, raising accuracy and success rate of operations.

        녹내장 의증 환자의 감별에서 가변각막보정 주사레이저편광측정의 진단적 가치

        Purpose: This study was designed to assess the diagnostic value of scanning laser polarimetry with variable corneal compensation (GDx-VCC) in the diagnosis of preperimetric glaucoma. Methods: The study included 132 eyes of 132 patients with normal intraocular pressure, including 38 normal eyes, 60 eyes with pre-perimetric glaucoma, and 34 eyes with early glaucoma. The parameters of GDx-VCC were analyzed and compared in these groups using ANOVA. The parameter with the most powerful diagnostic value was defermirred by an ROC curve, and it`s sensitivity and specificity were calculated. Results: Among GDx-VCC parameters, NFI was the most valuable parameter that could detect pre-perimetric glaucoma in normal eyes. A cut-off value of 12 was the optimal NFI value, which offered the highest sensitivity and specificity in discriminating between normal and pre-perimetric glaucomatous eyes. However, there were no statistically significant differences in GDx-VCC parameters between pre-perimetric and early glaucomatous eyes. A statistically significant correlation was found between NFI and visual field indices in early glaucomatous eyes. Conclusions: GDx-VCC can be useful as a screening test for early detection of pre-perimetric and early glaucoma with normal intraocular pressure.

        Wide-line NMR and DSC studies on intrinsically disordered p53 transactivation domain and its helically pre-structured segment

        Wide-line ¹H NMR intensity and differential scanning calorimetry measurements were carried out on the intrinsically disordered 73-residue full transactivation domain (TAD) of the p53 tumor suppressor protein and two peptides: one a wild type p53 TAD peptide with a helix pre-structuring property, and a mutant peptide with a disabled helix-forming propensity. Measurements were carried out in order to characterize their water and ion binding characteristics. By quantifying the number of hydrate water molecules, we provide a microscopic description for the interactions of water with a wild-type p53 TAD and two p53 TAD peptides. The results provide direct evidence that intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and a less structured peptide not only have a higher hydration capacity than globular proteins, but are also able to bind a larger amount of charged solute ions.         Abstract: The effects of pre-corrosion and applied potentials in artificial seawater on the S-N fatigue behavior of X80 steel were examined. The X80 specimens were pre-corroded in a FeCl3 solution for varying immersion times ranging from 0 to 96 h and subsequently S-N fatigued in air. It was found that the resistance to S-N fatigue decreased abruptly with 1 h immersion, while it became saturated with a further increase in immersion time. The trend observed in this study was relatively well explained by the stress concentration effect from the presence of corrosion damage on the surface. The in-situ S-N fatigue tests were also conducted on X80 steel in artificial seawater under applied potentials of .600, .850 and .1,050 mV (SCE). The fractographic and micrographic analyses were conducted on the fatigue specimens to identify the optimum cathodic protection conditions.

        2H-Silicon Carbide Epitaxial Growth on c-Plane Sapphire Substrate Using an AlN Buffer Layer and Effects of Surface Pre-Treatments

        The effects of surface pre-treatments and the role of an AlN buffer layer for 2H-SiC growth on c-plane sapphire substrates by thermal CVD are investigated. While the crystallinity of SiC directly grown on sapphire substrate always degrades with a hydrogen pre-treatment but improves by optimizing carbonization, the crystallinity of SiC grown on sapphire substrate using an AlN buffer grown by MOCVD improves with sufficient time of exposure to the H pre-treatment but always deteriorates with carbonization. Detailed microstructural analysis by phi-scan x-ray diffraction reveals that SiC film grown on sapphire substrate consists of crystalline domains with two different crystallographic orientations which are rotated relative to each other along the [111] axis by 60°. A highly oriented hexagonal 2H-SiC film is obtained on low-cost c-plane sapphire substrate by using an AlN buffer. 2H-SiC is unambiguously determined not only by phi-scan x-ray diffraction but also by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The growth relationship between 2HSiC and 2H-AlN are coherent due to the favorable bonding of C and Al between SiC and AlN.

      • 효과적인 영어독서를 위한 창의적인 독서기술에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this dissertation is to find out the effects of a fast reading program by presenting various prior theories and teaching and learning reading skills such as skimming, scanning, guessing, reading faster, etc. It's expected that such a study gives will help students develop abilities in reading for pleasure, reading comprehension skills, thinking skills and reading faster. Reading for pleasure is the easiest way to become a reader in English. It's also the most important way to improve one's reading abilities. Chapter Ⅰ discusses the necessity, purpose and scope of the present dissertation. Chapter Ⅱ deals with the work method that is composed of the subject and time period of the study and hypothesis. The first hypothesis will be a significant difference in the scores of reading comprehension ability between the experimental class and the control class. The second hypothesis, will be a significant difference in the scores of words per minute between the experimental class and the control class. To verify these hypotheses, the subjects were 124 male students in two classes of the second grade of J High School located in Kunsan City in Jeonbuk. The experimental class consisted of 62 students, and the control class consisted of 62 students. The period of the experiment was 12 weeks, from March, 2006 to August 2006. The instruction methods for speed reading training were, 1) The position of slash 2) Pre-reading activities 3) Chunking 4) Scanning 5) Skimming, and 6) Pattern of Organization. The results were analyzed by SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences). Chapter Ⅲ. The results of the study can be summarized as follows ; the scores of reading comprehension in the experimental class gradually increased in comparison with the control class. There was a significant difference in the reading comprehension test between the experimental class and the control class. Chapter Ⅳ. Through the results of this study, it would seem that speed reading training enhances students' reading comprehension ability. It's expected that such a study will give some abilities to students in the areas of reading for pleasure, reading comprehension skill, thinking skills and reading faster. Reading for pleasure is the easiest way to become a reader in English. It's also the most important way to improve one's reading abilities. Ongoing immersion in extensive reading is essential for practicing and applying reading skills and for developing all areas of language skill. I think that this dissertation is results can be applied to classroom teaching and will add to students' motivation for improving their reading rate and reading faster.

        Precision of the milled full-arch framework fabricated using presintered soft alloy: A pilot study

        PURPOSE. This study aimed to evaluate the marginal discrepancy of full-arch frameworks in implant-supported prostheses fabricated using pre-sintered soft alloy (PSA). MATERIALS AND METHODS. Full-arch metal frameworks were fabricated on the edentulous implant model using casting alloy (CA), fully-sintered hard alloy (FHA), and PSA (n = 4 in each group). To evaluate the misfit of the framework to the abutments, the absolute marginal discrepancy (AMD) values of the frameworks were measured in cross-sectional images that had been drawn as part of the triple-scan protocol. The AMD values were compared among the tested alloy groups using the Kruskal-Wallis test, with a post hoc Mann-Whitney U test (α=.05). RESULTS. The FHA and PSA groups showed lower marginal discrepancies than the CA group (P<.001). However, the FHA group did not differ significantly from the PSA group. CONCLUSION. Soft alloy milling is comparable to hard alloy milling, and it is more precise than casting in terms of the marginal fit of implant-supported, full-arch prostheses.

        공간주파수대역에서 기저대역 확장을 통한 원전 대비시험편과 대비 보정 시험편의 초음파 영상 개선

        Ultrasonic microscope has been used to detect the defects on surface or inner solid. Conventionally, it has used at a single operating frequency. The resolution and quality of the measured images are determined by a characteristic of the transducer of the ultrasonic microscope. The conventional ultrasonic microscope has been used envelope detector to detect the amplitude of reflected signal, but the changes in amplitude is not sensitive enough for specimen with microstructure that in phase. In this paper, we have studied multi-frequency depth resolution enhancement with ultrasonic reflection microscope for the reflectors of a stainless steel reference specimen and a reference calibration block to be used as the material in nuclear power plants for ISI, PSI. Increased depth resolution can be obtained by taking two, three-dimensional images at more that one frequency and numerically combining the results. As results of the experiment, we could get enhanced images with the rate of contrast in proportion and high quality signal distribution for the image to the changing rate of depth for the reflectors of the two kinds of specimens.
