Does Data Journalism Matter for Social Media Users?

News organizations apply data journalism practices to producing quantified digital content (e.g., text in an interactive map). However, it is unclear how social media users understand this trend. The study examines how need for quantified news, credibility of digital data-based news, and information seeking through social media influence the usage of digital data. Findings indicate that the need for quantified news and the perceived credibility influence the news tweeting through intention to utilize digital data in news. Information seeking affects the intention to utilize digital data, and it directly influences the news tweeting. These relationships are consistent across two samples.
Bayesian Parameter Estimation of Strength Distribution For Highly Accelerated Life Testing Data

Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) employs extremely harsher stresses than field use environments to early detect design weakness of the products for the purpose of design improvement. Generally, based on small-sized testing samples, the distribution of failure-times from HALT can be modeled stress-strength theory. The parameter estimation using maximum likelihood (ML) method is limited to small-sized HALT data because parameter estimates from the ML method are derived through asymptotic properties of parameters of interest. We propose a Bayesian approach to estimate model parameters using small-sized HALT data. Credibility models are actuarial tools to distribute premiums fairly among a heterogeneous group of policyholders. Many existing credibility models can be expressed as special cases of linear mixed effects models. In this paper we propose a nonlinear credibility regression model by reforming the linear mixed effects model through kernel machine. The proposed model can be seen as prediction method applicable in any setting where repeated measures are made for subjects with different risk levels. Experimental results are then presented which indicate the performance of the proposed estimating procedure.

The Game Selection Model for the Payoff Strategy Optimization of Mobile CrowdSensing Task

The payoff game between task publishers and users in the mobile crowdsensing environment is a hot topic of research. A optimal payoff selection model based on stochastic evolutionary game is proposed. Firstly, the process of payoff optimization selection is modeled as a task publisher-user stochastic evolutionary game model. Secondly, the low-quality data is identified by the data quality evaluation algorithm, which improves the fitness of perceptual task matching target users, so that task publishers and users can obtain the optimal payoff at the current moment. Finally, by solving the stability strategy and analyzing the stability of the model, the optimal payoff strategy is obtained under different intensity of random interference and different initial state. The simulation results show that, in the aspect of data quality evaluation, compared with BP detection method and SVM detection method, the accuracy of anomaly data detection of the proposed model is improved by 8.1% and 0.5% respectively, and the accuracy of data classification is improved by 59.2% and 32.2% respectively. In the aspect of the optimal payoff strategy selection, it is verified that the proposed model can reasonably select the payoff strategy.
학교 과학교육에서의 과학적 논증활동을 위한 탐구학습 지도방법 탐색

The purpose of this study were to explore teaching method for scientific inquiry including scientific argumentation to increase students' scientific literacy. For this study, the detailed guideline including assessment frame for students' argumentation was developed and applied to seventh and ninth grade students. From this application, data were collected from the students' views by pre, post questionnaire and the teachers who had taught to their students by questionnaire including students' attitudes change and applicability. From this study, the result were following. The change of students' perceptions was revealed by questionnaire and the teachers' description. And the applicability of this teaching method was indicated by the teachers' opinion. From these findings, the method was found as applicable teaching method to teach scientific inquiry including scientific argumentation in school science.
Investigation on exceptional fuel CRUD samples by using radioactivity ratios of cobalt isotopes

Elemental analysis and radioactivity measurements were carried out for fuel CRUD samples obtained from a nuclear power plant. Comparisons were made for the relationship between <SUP>58</SUP>Co radioactivity and Ni content and for the radioactivity ratios of <SUP>58</SUP>Co to <SUP>60</SUP>Co of the samples. We found a peculiar radioactivity relationship from one of the samples and were able to further evaluate this based on its unique fuel exchange history. This analysis can be useful to enhance the data credibility of CRUD samples.

This research is a basic survey of domestically studied research to compare three linguistic materials - in particular Japanese, in order of field and release time . This is to confirm concrete research results by field to be continued. The above survey results are summarized as follows. In the 1st term (1956-1980), there are few people learning or studying Japanese, and although I knew the existence of the repair book, I could not see the real thing, There were few related work. In the 2nd term (1981-2000), about 30% (54) of the survey subjects fall. Of those, about 70% of grammar, vocabulary and honorific-language papers are occupied. In the third period (2001 - 2016), about 70% (117) of the survey subjects fall. Among them, about 70% of articles in grammar and vocabulary fields are occupied. Honorifics related research is limited to 1%. 本研究は、捷解新語三本の言語資料ー特に、日本語ーとしての価値を立証するために、いままで国内で行われた研究を調査し分野別・発表時期順にまとめた基礎調査である。それは、引き続き行う予定の分野別の具体的な研究成果を確認するためである。以上の調査結果をまとめると次のようになる。 1期(1956年ー1980年)には、日本語を学習又は研究する人が少ない時期であるし、改修本の存在は知っていたものの、実物を目にすることができず、捷解新語関連研究は殆んどなかった。 2期(1981年ー2000年)には、調査対象の内、3割(54本)ほどが該当する。その内、文法、語彙、敬語分野の論文が7割程度を占めている。 3期(2001年ー2016年)には、調査対象の内、7割(117本)ほどが該当する。その内、文法、語彙分野の論文が7割程度を占めている。2期に15%もあった敬語関連研究は1%に止まっている。
