        위험물 운반차량 사고감지 시스템 구축과 잭나이핑 및 롤오버 사고감지 알고리즘 개발

        Industrialization has increased the transportation of freight by railway, air, road (or highway), and sea. In particular, overland (road) freight transportation is the most frequently used because of its responsiveness and accessibility. Among the available land transportation means, articulated vehicles consisting of tractors and semitrailers are often used to carry bulk freight. When these heavy vehicles are involved in accidents, the direct damage is serious. However, secondary damage may be even more serious depending on the contents of the freight. Therefore, a method is needed for quickly sensing an accident involving a hazardous-material transport vehicle and then rapidly propagating accident-related information to limit secondary damage as much as possible. This paper proposes a system that uses global navigation satellite system and inertial measurement unit which have a mutually complementary relationship, to sense accidents involving hazardous material transport vehicles (particularly accidents involving heavy vehicles such as articulated vehicles). Additionally, it introduces the system configuration for a simulation. Seven accident types and eight accident factors are classified in order to sense jackknifing and rollover accidents, which are representative accidents for articulated vehicles. In addition, an accident detection algorithm that utilizes weighted values is introduced for accident discrimination. The results from this algorithm are compared with the results of a simulation using TruckSim, which is commercial software that deals with automotive dynamics. 산업화의 발달로 철도, 항공, 육상, 해상을 통한 화물의 운송은 날로 증가하고 있다. 특히 육상교통을 통한 운송은 접근성이 용이하고 빠른 대응성 때문에 자주 이용하는 운송방법 중 하나이다. 육상교통 수단 중 트랙터와 세미트레일러로 이루어진 연결식 차량은 많은 화물을 운송하는데 유용하게 사용된다. 한편 이러한 대형차량들이 사고를 발생시켰을 때 직접적인 피해는 물론, 그 적재물의 종류에 따라 더 심각한 2차 피해 상황에 이를 수 있다. 그러므로 위험물 운반차량의 사고를 최대한 빨리 감지하고 사고 관련 정보를 가능한 빨리 전파하여 2차 피해를 최대한 막기 위한 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 위험물 운반차량 특히 연결식 차량과 같은 대형 차량들의 사고를 감지할 수 있도록 상호보완적인 관계를 갖는 위성항법시스템과 관성측정장치를 이용한 시스템을 제안하였다. 또한 모의실험을 위한 시스템 구성을 소개하고 있다. 그리고 본 연구에서는 위험물 운반차량으로 대표되는 연결식 차량의 대표적인 사고인 잭나이핑 및 롤오버 사고 등을 감지하기 위해 7가지 사고 유형과 8가지 사고 요인을 분류하였으며, 사고 판별을 위해 가중치 적용 사고 감지 알고리즘을 소개하고 이를 상용 프로그램인 TruckSimⓇ을 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다.

      • Injury analysis of a 12-passenger van rollover accident: a case series study

        Object: The fatality of rollover accidents in motor vehicle crashes is high despite their low incidence. Through the investigation of a 12-passenger van rollover accident in which 10 passengers were involved, we intend to analyze the correlation between the severity of injury and the position of the occupants. Methods: We collected accident information from medical records, interviews, photo-images of the damaged van, field surveys, and the results of the Korean New Car Assessment Program. Based on the occupants` position, we classified injury sites and estimated injury severity. Passenger injury severity was evaluated by trauma score calculation. Results: The initiation type of the rollover accident was ‘fall-over’ and the Collision Deformation Classification (CDC) code for the damaged van was 00TP O3. The crash of the van involved 10 passengers, with an average age of 16.3±4.2 years. Few of the occupants had fastened seat belts at the time of the incident, and there was no airbag installed. One patient sustained severe liver injury and another was diagnosed with a fracture of the right humerus. The most common injuries were at the upper extremities and the neck. The average of Injury Severity Score (ISS) was 4.8±5.9, and the average ISS of right-seated, mid-seated and leftseated occupants was 7.5±9.3, 1.5±0.7, and 3.3±2.1 respectively (p>0.05). Conclusion: In the rollover (to-passenger side) accident, the average ISS of right-seated occupants (near side) was higher, but there was no statistically significant difference.

        전복사고 운전자를 대상으로 자동차 안전장치에 대한 행동특성 분석

        본 연구는 전복에서 사고의 특성과 운전자의 행동특성을 분석하기 위한 연구이다. 연구기간은 2011년 1월에서 2014 년 5월까지이며 연구대상은 전복사고로 응급의료센터에 내원한 운전자 102명이었다. 연구도구는 교통안전공단 인체상해 데 이터를 이용하였으며 여기에는 자동차의 손상정도와 환자의 데이터를 수집하여 정리된 내용으로 차량의 기본정보와 환자정 보, 손상의 역학적 원인과 사진 상의 손상정보, 환자의 임상적 손상정보를 모두 포함하고 있다. 자료분석은 SPSS 18.0을 이용 하여 기술통계, ANOVA, Chi-square test 분석을 시행하였다. 분석 결과 차량종류에 따른 손상정도계수(Injury Severity Score) 평균 점수는 작은 차량에서 6.00점, 높은 차량에서 11.78점, 그 외 차량에서 14.70점을 보였고 세 집단 간 유의한 차이는 보이 지 않았다(P=.267). 안전벨트 착용 여부에서 남자가 여자에 비해 안전벨트를 유의하게 착용하지 않는 것을 볼 수 있었으며 (P=.007), 차량 종류나 날씨 등이 안전벨트 착용 여부와 상관관계를 보이지는 않았다(P=.755, P=.793). 하지만 차량의 크기가 작을수록 운전자들이 안전벨트를 차용하지 않는 경향을 보였고, 날씨가 맑은 날 오히려 안전벨트를 좀 더 착용하는 경향을 볼 수 있었다. 마지막으로 전복 사고에서도 다른 사고 유형에서와 마찬가지로 안전벨트 착용 여부가 손상에 큰 영향을 미치 는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. This is to analyze of driver behavioral and the accident characteristics in rollover. The study period was January 2011 to May 2014 and the subject of study was 102 person who were drivers visited the emergency room. Research tool includes a damage information of the vehicle, accident mechanism, damage to the patient clinical information with the injury data from the ROAD Traffic Authority. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 was used for t-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test. Injury Severity Score average score according to the vehicle type is 6.00 points in the smaller vehicle, at high vehicle 11.78 points, from the other vehicle that showed 14.70 points. Significant differences between the three groups did not show (P=.267). Men did not use a seat belt significantly compared to women(P=.007). Vehicle type and weather, this was no correlation with whether or not use the seat belt(P=.755, P=.793). But showed a tendency to smaller size vehicles drivers do not use a seat belt, the weather could see a little more inclined to use a seat belt rather than a sunny day. Finally, in rollover accidents as in other types of accident it was confirmed that the seat belt has a great influence on the damage.

        CRASHWORTHINESS EVALUATION OF A HYDROGEN BUS FUEL SYSTEM

        For the successful introduction of buses fueled by hydrogen, the safety of hydrogen buses is being discussed and investigated by governments and research institutes. This study is focused on evaluation approaches for hydrogen bus crashworthiness with hydrogen fuel systems located on the roof structure. Based on rollover safety regulations, the primary countermeasures are not only to ensure that there is no contact between the hydrogen fuel system and other parts of the vehicle or the ground, but also to confirm adequate occupant residual space for occupant protection during rollover accidents. Thus, the experimental concept to check safety countermeasures along with computational approaches and procedures are discussed with regards to the rollover test loading conditions in this study. A rollover test setup process was investigated and a hydrogen bus rollover test was performed. Furthermore, a hydrogen bus FE model has been developed and the structural response was verified. The results and conclusion provide the conceptual framework to evaluate hydrogen bus crashworthiness.

        농기계 안전사고 시 자동상황전파를 위한 ICT기반 시스템 개발

        Recently, the aging of agricultural society has caused a rapid increase in safety accidents from agricultural machinery. Sometimes, the wounded may be left unattended resulting serious situation. In order to solve these problems, ICT technology is used to detect and inform the accident quickly when a safety accident such as overturning, collision or other accidents occurs during operation or moving the agricultural machinery, such as cultivator, rearing machine, and tractor. A system capable of minimizing the amount of data is required. In this paper, an ICT - based automatic accident detection & propagation system is proposed for the agricultural machinery accident such as colliding crashes or overturning of agricultural machinery. The proposed system enables quick rescue by sending a text message automatically to family, acquaintances, hospitals and 119 in the event of an agricultural accident. 최근 농업 사회의 고령화로 인해 농기계로 인한 안전사고가 급증하고 있다. 어떤 경우에는 부상자가 사고를 주위에 알리지 못한 채 홀로 방치되어 심각한 상황에 이를 수 있다. 경운기, 이앙기, 트랙터, 콤바인 등 농기계를 대상으로 작업 및 이동 중에 전복, 충돌, 기타 사고 등의 안전사고 발생 시 ICT 기술을 이용하여 신속하게 사고 상황을 외부에서 감지하고 전달함으로써 인명 피해를 최소화 할 수 있는 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 농기계의 충돌 및 전복 사고를 감지하고, 위험상황을 전송하는 ICT 기반의 농기계 안전사고 자동상황전파시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 농기계 사고 발생 시 자동으로 가족, 지인, 병원 및 119로 문자 메시지를 보냄으로써 빠른 사후 조치를 통한 인명구조를 가능하게 한다.

        낚시어선의 안전사고 예방을 위한 자율점검 시스템 도입 방안

        최근 들어 해양 레저 산업의 활성화와 다양한 콘텐츠의 발달로 낚시 이용자는 급격히 증가하고 있으며 이에 따른 낚시 어선 이용객도 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이는 낚시 어선과 관련된 안전사고 발생에도 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되지만 명확한 국내 낚시 어선 안전사고 발생 현황과 사고예방에 관한 연구는 다소 미흡한 실정이었다. 이에 사전 조사를 수행한 결과, 낚시 어선 관련 사고는 최근 5년간 77건에서 263건으로 급격히 증가하였으며, 특히 안전사고는 대부분 낚시어업 종사자의 관리 소홀 및 기관 고장 등의 단순사고가 70%를 차지하였음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 낚시 어선의 안전사고 발생을 방지할 수 있는 요인 9항목을 파악하여 자율 점검표로 제시하고 도입할 것을 권장하였으며, 본 자율 점검 제도가 도입될 경우 낚시어업 종사자와 이용객의 안전 의식 개선에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 판단하였다. With the recent development in the marine leisure industry, fishing users and fishing boat users are rapidly increasing. This has been influencing the occurrence of safety accidents related to fishing boats. The study on the clear status of safety accidents of domestic fishing boats and the prevention of accidents was somewhat insufficient. As a result of conducting a preliminary investigation, Over the recent five years, safety accidents of fishing boats have rapidly increased from 77 cases to 263 cases, which means this is a very serious issue. Seventy percent of safety accidents are mild accidents caused by careless management of workers and engine troubles and it is imperative to improve these. Therefore, this study recommends to introduce an autonomous monitoring table system, which is subdivided into nine items, in order to prevent safety accidents of fishing boats among the rapidly increasing fishing boat users. It is thought that this autonomous monitoring system will positively influence the improvement in safety awareness of fishing workers and fishing boat users.

        버스의 승객안전도 평가방법 연구

        In a previous study, an investigation of occupant behaviors and injuries (to the head and chest) was performed during vehicle impact loading cases in order to ensure the safety of wheelchair passengers on a bus. The computational results showed overall safety tolerances of wheelchair occupants under different accident configurations. The bus crashworthiness is described as the capability of a bus to protect occupants during rollover loadings. The residual space containing occupants should be undamaged without any intrusions. However it is necessary to evaluate the residual space according to the bus occupant kinematic analysis under the rollover crash simulation. This study focuses on the evaluation of occupant behaviors during rollover loading cases in order to ensure the safety of bus passengers sitting in general seats and wheelchairs and evaluates the residual space of the bus by analyzing the bus occupant kinematics.

        과수용 방제기 전도 방지 구조물의 설계

        Damage to agricultural production caused by insects and diseases affects farming yields. The orchard sprayer is mainly used in the country to protect the fruit in a large area, with less effort and at minimum cost. The excellent performance of the air blast spray increases the fruit protection. Chemical application in orchards has been accomplished by the orchard sprayers with air assist nozzles and a axial fan in Korea. However, the orchard sprayers without ROPS resulted in severe injury or death when operators drive the sprayers improperly on hilly orchard or farming road. This study was to develop a ROPS for the orchard sprayers improving farmer’s safety. In this study, the accident case was used in analysing the design and building TOP structure of the orchard sprayer. The maximum impact, body torsion frame structures including the driver's protection are also analysed for adherence to safety regulations. The ROPS safety regulations according to the strength test results were established.
