        동화사 수마제전의 건축적 특징

        For this purpose, the research is to study the architectural characteristic of SooMaJaiJeon which is one of the DongHwaSa in the traditional wooden architecture by dividing it into three section-bracket, roof structure and frame structure. This study is largely divided into four stage-section do subject, research and actual measurement and conclusion. The whole process was consistently executed through detailed steps. The com position of this study is as follows. The 1st chapter–the purpose, background, method, object and range of the research. The 2nd chapter-the history of SooMajaiJeon. the 3rd chapter-the structure of Dapo-style bracket has generally considered, the frame structure of Dapo-style, vertical and horizontal member and podium, the characteristic of bracket with member and the structure, design of bracket, roof structure. In the 4th chapter, the conclusion of this study has been summarized, Dapo-style is the building that has deep symbolism and structural characteristic of traditional wooden architecture. The frame structure has a dominant regional characteristic and a typical part of typological classification in SooMaJaiJeon.

        한국 상업건축 입면현상의 비서구적 근대성에 대한 연구

        Korean commercial architecture is based on two distinctive characteristics of western modern architecture: grid frame structure and free facade. However, the original facade of the building disappears as numbers of commercial advertisements and signboards representing inner programs cover up the original facade. This is a unique feature of commercial architecture in Korea which I would call the surface phenomena of Korean commercial architecture. Common criticism on this type of building is that too many and too big signboards infringe upon the original pure facade of the architecture. Underlying assumption here is that signboards and commercial ads are inessential and decorative elements simply attached to the original pure facade of modern architecture. However, in this paper, I argue that commercial decorations is an essential aspect of korean commercial architecture rather than an inessential decorative element attached later to the essential facade of architecture and that it reflects the historical specificity of cultural and architectural modernity of Korea And thus, the surface phenomena of Korean commercial architecture should not be judged based upon the aesthetic paradigms of either western modern or postmodern architecture. Rather, it can be argued that surface phenomena of Korean commercial architecture is a reflection of a modernity beyond the paradigm of western modernism and postmodernism. The agenda of Korean commercial architecture is then not simply to restrict or to control signboards on the building facades with the intention to clean up facade of the building but rather to integrate the signs and commercial ads with the structure of architectural surface.

        한국 전통목조건축물 대공과 동자주의 유형과 시대적 변천에 관한 기능주의적 접근

        This study aims to analyze the typology and historical changes of Daegong(臺工) and Dongjajoo(童子柱) from a functionalist perspective. Daegong and Dongjajoo are structural members retaining vertical load in traditional Korean roof frame structures. These two structural members are mostly defined by their locations; Daegong is considered as a vertical member under top-purlin, whereas Dongjajoo is used under mid-purlins. While they have similarities as vertical load bearing members, there are subtle distinctions in their functions. The structural roles and components of these members were analyzed by reviewing historical documents and case studies of 194 Daegongs and 203 Dongjajoos from 184 buildings. The structural members with those of similar functions from traditional Chinese and Japanese architecture were compared. As a result, this study revealed that the function and composition of these two members had changed over time, and such changes reflect the characteristics of roof frame structures in traditional Korean architecture. 이 연구는 기능주의적 관점에서 대공과 동자주의 유형을 분류하고, 시대적 변천과정을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 대공과 동자주는 전통목조건축의 상부가구에서 수직하중을 받는 수직부재이며, 일반적으로 대공은 종도리 하부, 동자주는 중도리 하부에 사용되는 것으로 위치에 의해 구분된다. 두 부재는 지붕가구의 수직부재라는 점에서 공통되지만 각각의 기능에서는 미묘한 차이를 가지고 있다. 연구에서는 국가지정문화재로 지정된 건축물 184동에 사용된 194건의 대공, 203건의 동자주 사례와 영건의궤의 기록을 참고로 하여, 이들 부재가 수행해야 하는 구조적 기능을 세부적으로 나누어 살펴보고, 그들이 각각 어떤 구성요소로 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 나누어진 각 유형의 시대적 분포를 파악함으로써 이들 부재가 역사적으로 어떠한 변화를 거쳐왔는지 살펴보고, 중국, 일본의 유사한 기능을 갖는 부재들과의 비교를 통해 그 요인에 대해 고찰하였다.

        A Study on Monitoring and Control Architecture for Smart Lighting System in IoT Environment

        With the development of Information Technology(IT), smart lighting devices in the homes, office buildings and factories are evolving from the existing visual elements to non-visual elements in terms of functional and cognitive ability. In addition, these devices are utilizing monitoring functions through various environmental sensors. This paper suggests a monitoring and control architecture, and a frame structure for smart lighting system using wireless network toward Internet of Things(IoT) applications. The network can be organized as hierarchical architecture which includes physical devices, radio access modules connected as tree topology, and mobility service to interface internet for remote control and management. Using mobile devices that use ISM(Industry, Science, Medical) band, high-speed data transmission is possible; system status can be obtained through periodic status reporting from nodes; and request/reply structure for light device control is provided. Event reporting can be supported by frames and processing functions in main controller. Therefore, more efficient and low cost smart lighting system can be realized using this architecture.

        애플리케이션 개발 지향 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처 프레임 워크 설계

        현재 대부분의 기업은 비전 및 미션 달성을 위해, 엽무 프로세스에서 애플리케이션의 단위 기능까지, 정보기술 자원을 통합된 관점으로 구성하기를 원한다. 하지만 이를 위해 제시된 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처는 기업의 정보기술 환경이 개방화되고 복잡도가 증가하면서 애플리케이션 개발 영역을 명확하게 포함하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처에서 애플리케이션 개발 영역을 효과적으로 포함할 수 있도록 하기 위해 전사 관점의 소프트웨어 아키텍처 프레임워크를 정의하고 이를 포함하는 엔터 프라이즈 아키텍처 프레임워크를 설계하였다. 전사 관점의 소프트웨어 아키텍처 프레임워크는 추상화 수준을 고려하여 메타 아키텍처, 개념적 아키택처, 논리적 아키텍처, 물리적 아키텍처인 네 개의 하부 아키텍처를 가지는 계층형 소프트웨어 아키텍처 구조로 새롭게 정의하였으며, 이러한 아키텍처를 포함하는 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처 프레임워크는 눈높이(Perspective)와 관점 (View)별로 전사 관점의 소프트웨어 아키텍처 프레임워크를 분석하여 아키텍처 이해관계자와 아키텍처 간의 관계를 바탕으로 새롭게 설계하였다. 본 연구의 결과물은 기업의 전사 영역에 걸쳐 통합 관점에서 정보기술 구성 및 엔터프라이즈 아키텍처에 기반을 둔 체계적인 애플리케이션 개발에 활용가능하다. Nowadays most enterprise want to organize all Information Technology elements for their vision and mission accomplishments by integration view. Enterprise architecture is used by the solution. But IT is so more complex that it can't cover application development. This research defines software architecture framework by enterprise view and designs enterprise architecture framework for embracing application development. Software architecture framework consists of meta architecture, conceptual architecture, logical architecture, physical architecture. For enterprise architecture framework including enterprise software architecture framework, this research analyzes its perspectives and Views. After all, This research able to apply to systematic application development based on enterprise architecture and completely IT elements organization by enterprise view.

        영화 속 공간에 나타난 고대 그리스 건축의 특성 비교분석

        This study set out to make a list of movies that used the architectural styles of ancient Greece and their related sets and locations and compare and analyze them. The ultimate purpose was to identify the characteristics of space in movies to make use of them in education about the history of Greek architecture. The methods adopted in the study were as follows: first, the study had a general examination into the architectural styles of ancient Greece, categorized movies set in the Greek period, and made a list of them. Second, the results were used to identify the spaces of ancient Greek architecture in each of the movies and the characteristics of their styles. Third, these were compared and analyzed to figure out the characteristics of their flows and select their representative movies. The findings were as follows: first, there was a trend of detailed expressions of backgrounds in movies based on the application of framing shooting for angles of depression in case of Greek architecture whose historical research had been enough in the history of architecture. Second, many movies set in Greece repeatedly reproduced certain buildings that tended to be more complete in proportion and form. Third, "Troy" is the most creative film in terms of visuality through effective combination of large-scale set-up era and CG technology. Finally, “300” and “300: Rise of an Empire”, which are representative of the middle Greek period, can be seen as a case of demonstrating that CG is a very advantageous technique for applying architectural historical characteristics to the set space in the film.

      • GNSS-based auroral oval boundary movements prediction using machine learning

        The ionosphere is the part of the Earth's atmosphere with a high concentration of free electrons and ions. The ionosphere is characterised by its variability and inhomogeneity. One of the characteristic inhomogeneities is the so-called auroral oval, which determines the range of auroral radiance. Detection of the auroral oval is an important task for forecasting auroral storms, as they affect long-range communication systems, navigation, satellite-to-ground communications, making communications complicated or impossible. Therefore, an auroral oval detection and prediction needs to be performed in order to be informed about the area of their possible influence at certain time intervals. On the basis of the available image dataset from SIMuRG, which is based on GNSS data, it is proposed to use the LSTM model and CNN architecture. The paper reviews existing implementations and proposes a method for predicting auroral oval movements in the images, using the Convolutional LSTM architecture, which combines time series processing and computer vision. The work results in a machine learning model that can make the predictions based on even small sets of data.

        르코르뷔지에의 ‘새로운 건축의 다섯 가지 요점’의 재해석 - 최종 발표에 나타난 변화의 의미 분석에 기초하여 -

        Le Corbusier's 5 points theory has been considered as one of the important theories in modern architecture. Especially, it is most necessary to understand how horizontal windows, independent frames and free façade changed in the final publication. Because these are the key concepts of the 5 points theory. Therefore, the goal of this research is to reinterpret implicit meanings in the changes of the final 5 points publication, focusing on specifically those three points. There are three steps. First, finding major changes in 3 times of publications. Second, analyzing new concepts proposed through the changes about all of the points. Third, interpreting his intention of changing the final 5 points theory from that. Study methods are extracting, comparing and analyzing of the primary documents by Le Corbusier. There are three results. According to him, the glass wall is the ultimate form in the horizontal windows. In order to emphasize it, he integrated the horizontal windows point into the free façade point. Also, the meaning of the ‘free’ used at the free plan and façade points is close to the new condition of human, controlling 100% of the sunlight and the space on his own free will. Finally, this enjoyment of equal rights to sunlight is the keynote of the final publication of 5 points theory.

        르코르뷔지에의 창 이론에 나타난 건축적 함의 - 1920년대 주요 저작과 발표를 대상으로 -

        Le Corbusier's window theory has been considered as one of the important theories in modern housing. However, studies focusing on its whole context and meanings in detail are very limited. With this background, the goal of this study is to interpret implicit meanings in his all documents about window concepts, included in his major publications such as「Vers une architecture」, 5 points of new architecture etc. There are three steps. First, finding major ideas and background logic in his books. Second, analyzing the famous argument between Perret & Le corbusier about the window’s form. Finally, interpreting his intention of the horizontal window concept from the 1st & 2nd publications of 5 points. Through analysis, the full implication of the horizontal window and the glass wall concepts appeared. Also, the relation between the window and the independent frames showed up. His concept of window is based on his anthropocentricism. And it is a way to approach to the perfection of house which is the ultimate goal. Especially, that means it is his social vision that any social class of people can have the favorable human living conditions by the common window module and the mass production housing.

        문제틀과 아키텍처 패턴의 매칭을 이용한 소프트웨어 아키텍처 설계 방법

        While architectural patterns provide software development solutions by providing schemas for structural organizations of software systems based on empirical knowledge, Jackson’s problem frames provide a method of analyzing software problems. Problem frames are useful to understanding the software development problem, by putting emphasis on the problem domain, rather than on the solution space. Research exists that relates problem frames and software architecture, but most of this research uses problem frames only to understand given problems. Moreover, none of the existing research derives architectural patterns by considering both problem frames and quality attributes. In this paper, we propose a software architecture design method for pattern-based architecture design, by matching problem frames and architectural patterns. To that end, our approach first develops the problem model based on the problem frames approach, and then uses it to match with candidate architectural patterns, from the perspectives of both functionality, and quality attributes. Functional matching uses the problem frame diagram to match the problem model of an architectural pattern. We conduct a case study to show that our approach can systematically decide the right architectural patterns, and provide a basis for fine-grained software architecture design.
