여운철 ( Un Cheol Yeo ),정찬우 ( Chan Woo Jeong ),한승경 ( Seung Kyung Hann ),김홍직 ( Hong Jig Kim ),한을남 ( Eul Nam Han ),박기범 ( Ki Beom Park ),최광호 ( Kwang Ho Choi ),목혜수 ( Hae Soo Mok ),문병천 ( Byung Chun Moon ),김용상 대한피부과학회 2009 대한피부과학회지 Vol.47 No.11

Background: Medical skin care is essential for the treatment of skin diseases all over the world. Medical skin care is also part of medical practice and this must be differentiated from the simple skin care that is given for normal healthy skin. Objective: We wanted to discuss medical skin care and the related medical devices and legal issues. Methods: We reviewed the related laws and regulations, we consulted experts and associations and we analyzed the result of the survey. Results: Legally, medical skin care and simple skin care are well classified. However, many illegal procedures are still performed by non-medical personnel and many adverse effects have been reported as a result. Furthermore, there are no legal restrictions for the performer based on the grade of each medical skin care procedure. Conclusion: For the best results and safe procedures, medical skin care must be performed by approved medical equipment under the supervision of a physician or medical personnel. Continuous control and guidance by the government is strongly needed. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(11):1236~1245)

        오수연,이영선 한국피부과학연구원 2013 대한피부미용학회지 Vol.11 No.4

The beauty industry is subdivided and specialized into areas such as skin beauty, hair beauty, makeup, and nail art. Among them, skin beauty has witnessed rapid development with the introduction of medical skin care. But compared with the overall expansion of the industry, the skin beauty area is finding it difficult to maximize revenue and satisfy the diverse needs of its customers. Therefore, this study was to examine the value the consumers hold and subsequently categorize them into consumer types. Furthermore, by analyzing the differences in purchasing behavior this study attempts to provide new implications regarding skin care marketing and suggest product development directions and marketing strategies which could be appropriate to the corresponding markets. 오철현,박신영,석희수,이용환 국제보건미용학회 2016 국제보건미용학회지 Vol.10 No.1

Various types of medical skin care are used to improve problematic skins. This study aimed to investigate female college students' intention to accept medical skin care so that they could solve their skin problems. A self-administered survey was conducted in 257 female college students in Busan. Frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan's post hoc test, and multiple regression analysis were carried out using an SPSS 21.0 program to analyze the data collected from the survey. As for the factors related to female college students' intention to accept medical skin care, they scored 3.45±0.46 for acception and 3.47±0.48 for intention. The acception-related factors included average (p<0.01), positive (p<0.01), and very positive (p<0.01) in terms of awareness of cosmetics and the intention-related factor was acception (p<0.001). Awareness of cosmetics affected acception, which then affected intention. It is therefore necessary to induce female college students to use cosmetics properly and provide reliable information so that they can become more aware of cosmetics and accept medical skin care.

경제협력개발기구(OECD) 회원국 및 기타 국가들에서 의료서비스와 연계된 피부미용사의 근무형태에 대한 연구

정찬우 ( Chan Woo Jeong ),한승경 ( Seung Kyung Hann ),허창훈 ( Chang Hun Huh ),송해준 ( Hae Jun Song ) 대한피부과학회 2008 대한피부과학회지 Vol.46 No.9

In 2008, Korea has enacted new ordinances about the role of estheticians, but this law can be interpreted ambiguously, restricting hiring of estheticians in medical clinics. The purpose of the study is to obtain information about medical-esthetic systems in other countries. We have taken a survey of this object from 30 OECD & Asian countries, and the questionnaires returned from a total of 22 countries (Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Singapore, Israel, and Thailand), were used for the final analysis. The results are summarized as follows. In most countries, estheticians working independently deal with only healthy, normal skin. In most countries, estheticians working independently have no right to operate any medical instruments. In all 17 countries that returned the questionnaires medical clinics can employ estheticians, and only theses estheticians who belong to the medical clinics can handle the non-invasive medical instruments under the supervision of doctors. In 17 countries that have related legal regulations, nurses, under the control of doctors, can perform wider range of duties in various settings than estheticians. The survey concludes that the duties of estheticians are closely related with medical skin care services and estheticians can perform various non-invasive medical procedures only under the control of doctors. From consulting a variety of medical-esthetic systems in other countries, we propose that the estheticians be allowed to work in medical clinics to provide better medical services for the patients and to make more chances of employment for themselves. 대학의 메디컬 스킨케어 교과에서 Flipped Learning 수업 운영 효과 분석

        박정연,박채영 한국엔터테인먼트산업학회 2022 한국엔터테인먼트산업학회논문지 Vol.16 No.8

This study analyzed an effect of the flipped learning teaching/learning method applied to the ‘medical skincare’ course offered by H University. It divided the subjects into two groups and applied the instructor-centered lecture class and the flipped-learning teaching/learning method to each one, respectively. It examined 13 students who participated in the former(the control group) and 19 who participated in the latter (the experiment group). It analyzed the data collected by using SPSS v. 25.0. Specifically, it calculated Cronbach's α, to verify the reliability of the measurement tool, and conducted an independent samples t-test, to examine whether there are differences in teaching presence, perceived interaction and class satisfaction between two groups. The findings are as follows: it examined the differences in the teaching presence, perceived interaction and class satisfaction between the experiment group to which the flipped-learning teaching/learning method was applied and the control group to which the instructor-centered lecture class was applied. Then, the results showed that they and their sub-factors were higher in the former. Based on the findings above, it can be found that the class to which the flipped-learning is applied has an entirely positive effect on students, and therefore, the flipped-learning can be considered as the teaching/learning method useful for fostering skin-care experts. This study, which attempted to apply the flipped-learning-based class model to the medical skin-care subject, has an implication, in that it suggests the potential of he flipped-learning-based class for the major field of skin-care.

The Mediating Effect of Socio-Cultural Attitude towards Appearance on the Appearance Interest in the Relationship between Acne Perception and Appearance Satisfaction

        Heeyoung Lee(Heeyoung Lee),Eunsook Kim(Eunsook Kim) J-INSTITUTE 2022 Protection Convergence Vol.7 No.2

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine and understand the mediating effect of socio-cultural attitude towards appearance on the appearance interest in the relationship between acne perception and appearance satisfaction, and provide a practical assistance for the programs for the acne skin in the beauty industry and market. Method: In this study, the statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs of 282 online questionnaires for the subjects with acne skin. Results: As for the results of this study, the socio-cultural attitude towards appearance has had a positively significant impact on the appearance interest(β=.453, p<.001), acne perception(β=.149, p<.05), and appearance satisfaction(β=.535, p<. 001), and the direct effect of socio-cultural attitude towards appearance on the appearance satisfaction was negatively significant(β=-.362, p<.001), while having a positively significant effect on the acne perception(β=.149, p<.05). Furthermore, in the relationship between the socio-cultural attitude towards appearance and appearance satisfaction, the interest in appearance demonstrated a positive mediating effect. This is a result demonstrating that if a person's socio-cultural attitude towards appearance is large, he or she can directly cause dissatisfaction with one's appearance, yet if one's interest in the appearance is raised before then, the appearance satisfaction might also be increased as a result. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that the larger the socio-cultural attitude towards the appearance, the larger the appearance interest and acne perception scores, and the larger the appearance interest, the larger the appearance satisfaction. Meanwhile, the socio-cultural attitude towards appearance negatively and significantly impacts the appearance satisfaction. Hence, it is apparent that the overall appearance is important as it impacts the appearance interest, not the skin type, and when consulting with the customers with acne skin, it is necessary to present the direction of interest in the appearance and suggest that it is also important to accurately perceive one's own skin condition. Through which, it is intended that the direction of social and cultural attitude towards appearance and interest in the appearance are presented to provide the services desired by consumers to increase their satisfaction with their appearance, and furthermore, provide assistance for the practical on-site management programs and counseling skills for acne skin in the medical skin care beauty industry and market.
