Enhanced ionic conductivity of composite solid electrolyte by directionally ordered structures of linear Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3

        You Li,Mulan Tang,Shuxin Xu,Shuchao Zhang,Yuxin Zhai,Jiarong Yin,Zhengguang Zou 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.114 No.-

The NASICON-type solid electrolyte structure of Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3 (LATP) exhibits good electrochemicalperformance and thermal stability, and has been promising as a solid electrolyte. Here, a stable goodstabilityLATP precursor spinning solution was prepared using the sol–gel method for the first time. A linearLATP solid electrolyte with an oriented ordered structure was obtained using improved electrostaticspinning equipment. The sintering process regime of the LATP-ordered construction was determined. Theionic conductivity of the prepared LATP-PEO/LiClO4-PEG composite solid-state electrolyte with anordered structure was as high as 2.05 10-4 Scm1 at room temperature (25 C), one order of magnitudehigher than the ionic conductivity of the LATP composite solid-state electrolyte reported so far. Organicsolid-state electrolytes to protect LATP-ordered structured solid-state electrolytes yield excellent electrochemicalstability in lithium-metal batteries.

      • APMD: A fast data transmission protocol with reliability guarantee for pervasive sensing data communication

        Liu, Yuxin,Liu, Anfeng,Li, Yuxuan,Li, Zhetao,Choi, Young-june,Sekiya, Hiroo,Li, Jie Elsevier 2017 Pervasive and mobile computing Vol.41 No.-

Abstract

In pervasive sensing data communication systems, it is significant to ensure data reliably and rapidly sent to the control center. Otherwise, laggard data transmission may result in vital loss. An adaptive persistent m data (APMD) transmission protocol is proposed to reduce delay with reliability guarantee for pervasive sensing data communication systems. In APMD transmission protocol, each data packet is sent for m ( m ≥ 1 ) times by sender at the first time of transmission. If the data packet cannot be received successfully for m times, sender will transmit this data packet again and wait for ACK sent back by receiver in the send and wait way. The next data packet will not be sent until this packet is sent successfully or the time of transmission reaches the maximum limit. The option of appropriate value of m is based on the energy situation, which guarantees high network lifetime. Both theoretical analysis and experimental simulation results indicate that the APMD protocol is better than the previous data transmission protocol. The delay can be reduced by 12.73%–14.78%, the energy utilization rate can be improved by about 35% compared to the SW-ARQ protocol, while the reliability increases slightly and the lifetime has no difference.

Highlights

A fast data transmission protocol is proposed for pervasive sensing.

The high reliability can be guaranteed in our protocol.

The delay can be reduced by 12.73%–14.78% compare to previous studies in our protocol.

The energy utilization can be enhanced by 35%.

Effect of TiBCN Content on Microstructure and Properties of Laser Cladding Ti/TiBCN Composite Coatings

        Yuxin Li,Keqiang Su,Peikang Bai,Liyun Wu,Bin Liu,Hongwen Su,Wenbo Du 대한금속·재료학회 2019 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.25 No.5

The Ti/TiBCN composite coatings were fabricated on the substrate of Ti6Al4V alloy by laser cladding. The effects of TiBCNcontent on the microstructre, microhardness, corrosion resistance and tribological properties of the composite coatings werestudied. The results showed that, when the TiBCN content was 60 wt%, the composite coatings were mainly composed ofthe dendritic and rod-shaped TiBCN phases, small white lump TiC phases, fine lamellar TiN phases, small and scatteredwhite block TiB2phases, In addition, there was a small quantity of short whisker Al3Tiphases and uniform layer blockTiAl phases. Furhtermore, the maximum microhardness was 1596 HV, which was about 4.6 folds greater than that of thesubstrate; the corrosion potential (Ecorr) reached − 1.258 V and the corrosion current density (Icorr) was 4.035 × 10−5 A/cm2,which was one order lower than that of the substrate (1.172 × 10−4 A/cm2); the worn surface was relatively smooth and themass loss (1.22 g) was only 9/50 of that of the substrate (6.71 g).

Low-density lipoprotein as an opsonin promoting the phagocytosis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by U937 cells

        Yuxin Li,Zhi Liu,Jinli Yang,Ling Liu,Runlin Han 한국미생물학회 2019 The journal of microbiology Vol.57 No.8

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) was recently reported to be an opsonin, enhancing the phagocytosis of group A Streptococcus (GAS) by human monocytic leukemia U937 cells due to the binding of LDL to some GAS strains. We postulated that LDL might also promote the opsonophagocytosis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by U937 cells since this bacterium interacts with LDL. In this study, P. aeruginosa (CMCC10104), U937 cells, and human LDL were used in phagocytosis assays to test our hypothesis. Escherichia coli strain BL21, which does not interact with LDL, was used as a negative control. Colony counting and fluorescence microscopy were used to determine the bacterial quantity in the opsonophagocytosis assays. After incubation of U937 cells and P. aeruginosa with LDL (100 μg/ml) for 15 and 30 min, phagocytosis was observed to be increased by 22.71% and 32.90%, respectively, compared to that seen in the LDL-free group. However, LDL did not increase the phagocytosis of E. coli by U937 cells. In addition, we identified CD36 as a major opsonin receptor on U937 cells, since an anti-CD36 monoclonal antibody, but not an anti- CD4 monoclonal antibody, almost completely abolished the opsonophagocytosis of P. aeruginosa by U937 cells.

High-Temperature Oxidation Behavior of NiCoCrAlY Coatings Deposited by Laser Cladding on 304 Stainless Steel

        Yuxin Li,Jinhao Nie,Yixin Yang,Peikang Bai,Hongjian Zhang,Zhanyong Zhao,Shouzheng Wei,Jie Cai,Qingfeng Guan 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.2

To improve the high-temperature resistance of the key hot-end parts of the steam turbine, NiCoCrAlY coatings were depositedon a 304 stainless steel substrate by laser cladding. The microstructure and high-temperature oxidation behavior of theNiCoCrAlY coatings were analyzed. The results showed that the NiCoCrAlY coatings contained γ/γ′ and β phases, and themicrostructure was mainly composed of elongated columnar crystals. In addition, after 100 h of oxidation at three differentoxidation temperatures (750, 850 and 950 °C), the coatings showed a relatively low oxidation rate, which was approximatelya quarter of the oxidation rate of the substrate. At the same time, the protective Cr2O3scales were formed on the coatingsurface. When the oxidation temperature was 850 °C, the FeCr2O4spinel formed and internal oxidation zone appeared, when the oxidation temperature reached 950 °C, the FeCr2O4spinel gathered in the local area on the surface of the Cr2O3scale and the internal oxidation was aggravated. In other words, as the oxidation temperature increased, the Fe element inthe matrix formed the FeCr2O4spinel, which accelerated the consumption of Cr element in the coatings and reduced theoverall oxidation resistance of the NiCoCrAlY coatings.

The Physiological Occlusion of the Central Canal May Be a Prerequisite for Syringomyelia Formation

        Chuan Jiang,Xinyu Wang,Chunli Lu,Qian Li,Longbing Ma,Wei Li,Shengyu Cui,Kang Li,Xiang Wang,Yuxin Feng,Fengzeng Jian 대한척추신경외과학회 2023 Neurospine Vol.20 No.4

Objective: Syringomyelia is a common central nervous system disease characterized by the dilation of the central canal (CC). Regarding the pathogenesis of syringomyelia, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation obstruction in the subarachnoid space (SAS) of the spinal cord has been widely accepted. However, clinical and animal studies on obstructing the CSF in SAS failed to form syringomyelia, challenging the theory of SAS obstruction. The precise pathogenesis remains unknown. Methods: We utilized an extradural compression rat model to investigate the pathogenesis underlying syringomyelia. Magnetic resonance imaging enabled detection of syringomyelia formation. To assess CSF flow within the SAS, Evans blue was infused into the cisterna magna. Histological analysis allowed morphological examination of the CC. Furthermore, CSF flow through the CC was traced using Ovalbumin Alexa-Flour 647 conjugate (OAF-647). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) enabled visualization of ependymal cilia. Results: The findings showed that the dura mater below the compression segment exhibited lighter coloration relative to the region above the compression, indicative of partial obstruction within the SAS. However, the degree of SAS occlusion did not significantly differ between syringomyelia (SM-Y group) and those without (SM-N group). Intriguingly, hematoxylin and eosin staining and CSF tracing revealed occlusion of the CC accompanied by reduced CSF flow in the SM-Y group compared to SM-N and control groups. SEM images uncovered impairment of ependymal cilia inside the syringomyelia. Conclusion: CC occlusion may represent a physiological prerequisite for syringomyelia formation, while SAS obstruction serves to initiate disease onset. The impairment of ependymal cilia appears to facilitate progression of syringomyelia.

Incidence and Risk Factors for Radiotherapy-Induced Oral Mucositis Among Patients With Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: A Meta-Analysis

        Li Juejin,Zhu Chuanmei,Zhang Yun,Guan Chang,Wang Qi,Ding Yuxin,Hu Xiaolin 한국간호과학회 2023 Asian Nursing Research Vol.17 No.2

Purpose: To evaluate the incidence and identify the risk factors for radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis among patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted. Eight electronic databases (Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, and Chinese Scientific Journals Database) were systematically searched from inception to 4 March 2023 for relevant studies. Study selection and data extraction were conducted by two independent authors. The Newcastle‒Ottawa scale was used for quality assessment among the included studies. Data synthesis and analyses were performed in R software package version 4.1.3 and Review Manager Software 5.4. The pooled incidence was calculated using proportions with 95% confidence intervals (CIs), and the risk factors were evaluated using the odds ratio (OR) with 95% CIs. Sensitivity analysis and predesigned subgroup analyses were also conducted. Results: A total of 22 studies published from 2005 to 2023 were included. The results of the metaanalysis showed that the incidence of radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis was 99.0% among nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients, and the incidence of severe radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis was 52.0%. Poor oral hygiene, overweight before radiotherapy, oral pH < 7.0, the use of oral mucosal protective agents, smoking, drinking, combined chemotherapy, and the use of antibiotics at early treatment stage are risk factors for severe radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis. Sensitivity analysis and subgroup analyses also revealed that our results are stable and reliable. Conclusions: Almost all patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma have suffered from radiotherapyinduced oral mucositis, and more than half of patients have experienced severe oral mucositis. Facilitating oral health might be the key focus of reducing the incidence and severity of radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis among nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.

A techno-economic sizing method for PV/battery/grid hybrid solar systems for residential buildings

Yuxin Zheng,Huiyuan Shen,Jie Li 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.11

The increasing share of the distributed renewable energy in power generation is an important development direction in the electrical power system. However, its intermittent and nonprogrammable nature is a major challenge. Battery storage is providing an effective solution to solve these issues. In the paper, the PV/battery/grid (PVBG) system is established for residential buildings, and the optimal combination of PV size and battery size was obtained by techno-economic analysis. Firstly, self-sufficiency ratio (SSR) and self-consumption ratio (SCR) as the technical indicators were applied to evaluate and analyze the performance of different PV/battery/grid systems. Secondly, the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) as an important economic indicator was applied to optimize PVBG system configuration by using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. PVBG systems were simulated under the actual electricity price and feed-in-tariff of a typical power market. Lastly, the optimal PV and battery system combination was obtained by maximizing SCR and SSR and minimizing LCOE. The results showed that integrating battery energy storage can improve SCR and SSR. The PVBG systems with a higher SSR resulted in more PV production to sell back to the grid and reduced the usage rate of the battery. Eight cases with different technical indicators were compared and discussed. The results showed that the LCOE of the PVBG system ranged from 0.351 to 0.769 RMB/kWh for the residential building studied. According to the technical and economic indicators, the optimal sizes of PV and battery were respectively determined to be 6696 Wp and 2366 Wh for the case studied.
