dlib 라이브러리를 이용한 얼굴 인식 기반 출퇴근시스템

최근 COVID-19가 급속도로 퍼지기 시작하면서 근무 환경이 재택 근무로 변경되거나 출근 인원을 줄여 사람 간 최대한 접촉이 지양되도록 바뀌기 시작했다 본 프로젝트는 COVID-19를 좀 더 예방하기 위해 일반적인 비밀번호, RFID, PIN번호 입력방식이 아닌 dlib를 기반으로 구축된 face_recognition을 통해 얼굴을 인식한다. 인식된 얼굴 데이터를 데이터베이스에 저장하며 아두이노에 연결된 Sensor들을 통해 저장된 데이터와 인식된 얼굴 데이터가 일치하면 문이 열리고 불이 들어오는 시스템이다 본 프로젝트를 통해 사람 간의 접촉을 줄이며 기존보다 편하고 빠른 출퇴근이 될 것이라고 기대된다. Recently, as COVID-19 began to spread rapidly, he working environment began to change to telecommuting or reduce the number of people coming to work to avoid contact between people as much as possible. To further prevent COVID-19, this project recognizes faces through face_recognition built on dlib, rather than the usual password, RFID, and PIN number input method.It stores recognized face data in a database, and when the recognized face data matches the data stored through Sensors connected to Arduino, the door opens and lights up.It is expected that this project will reduce contact between people and make commuting easier and faster than before.

Many studies concerning breeding maize varieties are in progress in Korea and other countries. Double haploid technology is widely used for the development of commercial maize varieties worldwide, and has also been utilized in Korea since its introduction by the Maize Research Institute, Gangwondo. We performed a study to improve the efficiency of selecting haploid maize seeds using fluorescence imaging. It was verified that anthocyanin produced by the expression of R1-nj gene can be detected by fluorescence imaging, and we developed a high-throughput method for discriminating between haploid and diploid seeds. Compared with discriminating with naked eye, this method reduced the time for discriminating haploid and diploid maize by 91.7% and increased selection accuracy by 16.8% for haploid and 2.2% for diploid maize. This method enabled the acquisition of more haploid seeds and improved the efficiency of breeding research by shortening the time involved.
Unique Substrate Spectrum and PCR Application of Nanoarchaeum equitans Family B DNA Polymerase

<B>ABSTRACT</B><P>The known archaeal family B DNA polymerases are unable to participate in the PCR in the presence of uracil. Here, we report on a novel archaeal family B DNA polymerase from <I>Nanoarchaeum equitans</I> that can successfully utilize deaminated bases such as uracil and hypoxanthine and on its application to PCR. <I>N. equitans</I> family B DNA polymerase (<I>Neq</I> DNA polymerase) produced λ DNA fragments up to 10 kb with an approximately 2.2-fold-lower error rate (5.53 � 10<SUP>−6</SUP>) than <I>Taq</I> DNA polymerase (11.98 � 10<SUP>−6</SUP>). Uniquely, <I>Neq</I> DNA polymerase also amplified λ DNA fragments using dUTP (in place of dTTP) or dITP (partially replaced with dGTP). To increase PCR efficiency, <I>Taq</I> and <I>Neq</I> DNA polymerases were mixed in different ratios; a ratio of 10:1 efficiently facilitated long PCR (20 kb). In the presence of dUTP, the PCR efficiency of the enzyme mixture was two- to threefold higher than that of either <I>Taq</I> and <I>Neq</I> DNA polymerase alone. These results suggest that <I>Neq</I> DNA polymerase and <I>Neq</I> plus DNA polymerase (a mixture of <I>Taq</I> and <I>Neq</I> DNA polymerases) are useful in DNA amplification and PCR-based applications, particularly in clinical diagnoses using uracil-DNA glycosylase.</P>
디자인적 사고 방법론에 따른 여행 계획 공유 앱 디자인

COVID-19 확산 이후 강력한 방역정책이 시행되어 여행에 많은 제약이 발생했다. 그러나 일상 회복을 향한 사회적 노력에 따라 여행객 증가에 대한 기대도 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 디자인적 사고 방법론을 통해 다시 증가하고 있는 여행객의 니즈를 파악하고 해결방안을 탐색하여 여행 계획 공유 애플리케이션 디자인을 제안했다. 국내여행 경험이 있는 5 명의 잠재적 사용자와 인터뷰를 수행하여 국내여행자들이 사회적 거리두기 상황에서도 가까운 사람과 여행하기를 원한다는 점을 발견했다. 해결방안으로 여행 계획을 공유하고 함께 여행할 사람을 모집하는 애플리케이션을 제안하고 프로토타입을 제작했다. 해결방안을 평가하기 위해 잠재적 사용자 3 명과 프로토타입 테스트를 진행하여 디자인 개선안을 탐색했다. 향후 개선된 디자인을 바탕으로 프로토타입을 수정하고 실제 애플리케이션이 여행계획 공유와 인원 모집을 편리하게 만드는지 평가하는 추가 연구가 필요하다.
Traveling Baseball Players’ Problem in Korea

We study the so-called traveling tournament problem (TTP) to find an optimal tournament schedule. Differently from the original TTP, in which the total travel distance of all the participants is the objective function to minimize, we instead seek to maximize the fairness of the round robin tournament schedule of the Korean Baseball League. The standard deviation of the travel distances of teams is defined as the energy function, and the Metropolis Monte-Carlo method combined with the simulated annealing technique is applied to find the ground-state configuration. The resulting tournament schedule is found to satisfy all the constraint rules set by the Korean Baseball Organization, but with drastically increased fairness in traveling distances.
