        A Measure of Agreement for Multivariate Interval Observations by Different Sets of Raters

        A new agreement measure for multivariate interval data by different sets of raters is proposed. The proposed approach builds on Um's multivariate extension of Cohen's kappa. The proposed measure is compared with corresponding earlier measures based on Berry and Mielke's approach and Janson and Olsson approach, respectively. Application of the proposed measure is exemplified using hypothetical data set.

        A Joint Agreement Measure Between Multiple Raters and One Standard

        This article addresses the problem of measuring a joint agreement between multiple raters and a standard set of responses. A new agreement measure based on Um's approach is proposed. The proposed agreement measure is used for multivariate interval responses. Comparison is made between the proposed measure and other corresponding agreement measures using hypothetical data set.

      • 체육활동 참여형태와 체육정책 인지수준에 따른 행정 서비스 만적

        이 연구는 체육 정책 인지 수준에 따른 행정 서비스 만족을 분석하여 스포츠 참여자의 행정 서비스 만족을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 1) 일반적 특성에 따른 체육정책 인지수준의 차이, 첫째로 성별에 따른 체육정책 인지수준의 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 연령별로는 20대, 30대보다는 40대 이상이 체육정책의 인지수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학력별로는 고졸이하보다 대학졸업, 대학원졸업이 체육정책의 인지수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2) 일반적 특성에 따른 행정 서비스 만족의 차이, 첫째로 성별에 따른 행정 서비스 만족의 차이에서는 편리성, 대응성, 쾌적성, 전문성, 접근용이, 형평성, 공헌기대 모든 요인에서 남성이 여성보다 행정 서비스 만족이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연령에 따른 행정 서비스 만족의 차이에서는 전문성과 공헌기대 치를 제외한 나머지 요인 편리성, 대응성, 접근용이, 형평성에서 20대보다 30대의 행정 서비스 만족이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학력에 따른 행정 서비스 만족의 차이에서는 편리성, 대응성, 쾌적성, 전문성, 접근용이, 형평성, 공헌기대 모든 요인에서 고졸이 집단보다 대학졸업집단과 대학원졸업집단이 행정 서비스 만족이 높은 것으로 나타났다.<br/> The present fundamental data on a plan for improving satisfaction of participants in sport and leasure activities with administrative service of sport and leisure organizations by analyzing effects of the perceived level of administrative policy of sportand leisure activities on satisfaction with Administrative service. To be conducted, the subjects of study are selected 307 the person in sports club residein Yong-In Su-Won and An-San, self-employe persons related to sports things and physical educated professor and/or teacher. The data has been collected by inquiry survey from, and analyzed the data by statics technique of T-test, ANOVA and on used SPSS 15.0. The results came to be concluded as follows. 1) The were not significant differences in perceived level of administrative policy of sport between the gender, however, significant differences in the age, education grade, and a sport type. 2) There were significant differences in satisfaction with Administrative service according between the gender, age, education grade and asport type. 2-1) According to the gender group, male showed higher the degree of satisfaction in total parts than female. 2-2) According to the age group, 30 showed higher the degree of satisfaction in total parts than 20. 2-3) According to the education grade, high school graduates showed higher the degree of satisfaction in total parts than University and Graduate School graduate. 2-4) According to the participator in sport and leasure activities type, a club person group showed higher the degree of satisfaction in total parts than self-employed person related to sports and physical education professor or teacher. 3) As high perceived level of administrative policy of sport, the high satisfaction with Administrative service. There is static correlation between male perceived level of administrative policy of sport and satisfaction with Administrative service.

      • A Simulation Study for Multivariate Independence Tests

        Many statistics have been proposed for testing the correlation between two random variables. It is natural to consider the multivariate test for this problem involving random vectors. A new multivariate test based on interdirections is proposed for this purpose. A comparison is made among the proposed statistic, Wilks likelihood ratio criterion and a component-wise quadrant statistic via a simulation study. Monte Carlo results demonstrate that the proposed statistic performs better than other when the underlying distributions are heavy-tailed. Also an example shows the robustness of the proposed statistic.

        distribution free 방법과 density smoothing 기법을 이용해서 플로리다 지역 주민의 어패류 소비 자료에 대한 quantile 추정치를 계산한다. 각 어패류에 대한 평균, 중앙값, 사분율과 같은 기술통계치를 얻는다. 또한 성별, 인종별(white, noniohite)에 따라 마찬가지의 추정치를 얻어낸다. 각각의 추정치에 대한 95% 신뢰구간을 계산한다.

      • 化學物質의 초파리 突然變異 誘發性에 관한 硏究

        환경성 돌연변이 유발원 검출을 위해 고안된 여러 시스템들 중에서도 초파리 시스템은 특히 여러가지 이점을 지니고 있다. 초파리에서의 양성 대조군, EMS와 Thio-TEPA 및 metronidazole의 돌연변이 유발성을 반성 열성치사법으로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. EMS는 1% sucrose에 0.0125M을 혼합시킨 용액에서 35~50%의 강한 돌연변이 유발성을 나타낸다. 2. Thio-TEPA는 5*10^-4M의 농도에서 약한 치사인자 출혈을 나타냈으며, 1*10^-4M에서는 그 유발능력이 감소되는 경향을 보였다. 3. metronidazole은 대조군과 마찬가지로 치사인자 빈도의 유의적 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나고 있다. Drosophila offers many advantages for the detecting of mutagenic activity of enviromental mutagens. It provides the quickest assy system for decting mutagens in animals today. The present investigation was undertaken in an attempt to detect the mutagenicity of thio-TEPA, metronidazole and EMS in the Driosophila system by the sex-linked recessive lethal test. The results obtained are presented below : 1. The concerntration of 0.00125 M EMS(in 1% sucrose), an alkylating agent, induced about 35~50% sex-linked recessive lethals in Drosophila and showed strong mutagenic acticity. 2. Thio-TEPA(in 1% sucrose) revealed slight mutagenicitty in the concentration of 5 * 10 M, but in the concentration 1 *10 M, mutagenicity was slightly decreased. 3. The sex-linked recessive lethal test with metronidazole showed a negative result, suggesting that metronidazole may be not mutagenic Drosphila.

        The absorption ability of low density heavy metal of pine needles and cones is better than one of existing absorption materials in treatment ability and experimental condition. The elimination ability of chlorine of pine needles and cones is better than one of active carbon. In elimination of trihalomethane, the effect of treatment of pine needles is lower than one of pine cones. And surface of pine needles and cones after absorption of heavy metal ion was observed by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM). Application and availability of pine needles and cones as absorption material need lots of experiments. The experiment on Gal-Bi(fallen leaves) is proceeding.

        Chinese hamster 난소세포에서 DNA - 단백질 교차결합과 glutathione S - 전이효소의 발현에 대한 돌연변이원에 의해 유도된 교차적응반응

        The present study has been undertaken to elucidate whether glutathione S-transferase (GST) is related to cross-adaptive response to DNA-protein crosslink (DPC) induced by ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) or ultraviolet radiation (UV)-C in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. DPC was determined by SDS-K^+ precipitation method, and GST was measured by western blot analysis. 2,4-Dinitrophenol (DNP) that depletes cellular ATP and cycloheximide (CHM) that inhibits protein synthesis were used to find whether DNP and CHM affected the expression level of GST and cross-adaptive response to EMS or UV. There is a cross-adaptive response to DPC in cells pretreated with EMS or UV and subsequently treated with UV or EMS, respectively. In cells pretreated with 2 mM EMS and subsequently treated with 5J/㎡ UV, DNP and CHM did not affect cross-adaptive response to DPC and GST. And also, in cells pretreated with 1J/㎡ UV and subsequently treated with 8 mM EMS, CHM did not affect crass-adaptive response to DPC and the expression level of GST. But DNP increased the amount of DPC, and decreased the expression level of GST in UV-pretreated cells. These results suggest that GST are involved in the induction of cross-adaptive response to DPC in CHO cells.

      • Slurry 반응조를 이용한 퇴적준설물내 질소의 생물학적처리에 관한 연구

        The eutrophication control and prevention can be accomplished through removal of the nutrients known as main contributors. However, for the case of lakes and rivers where significant amounts of the nutrients were already entered, there should be a limit on the eutrophication control. Accordingly, it is indispensable to remove the nutrients present in sediments in view of both obtaining water resources and preserving the environment, and, therefore, this study focuses on nitrogen removal among the nutrients in sediments. For nitrogen removal in sediments, nitrification and denitrification were applied as a biological removal process to a slurry reactor available for bioremediation of contaminated soils. With approx. 508㎎/㎏ of T-N concentration in the treated sediments, about 50 % of initial nitrogen concentration was accordingly removed after total 9-day operation of a 10 %-slurry reactor under oxic and anoxic conditions for 4 hrs and 2 hrs, respectively. This means that 25 % of T-N leachates in physical fractions were removed from the sediments through the nitrification and denitrification, and additional 25 % were removed under the same process after extracted from the sediments by a biological mechanism such as organic biodegradation. As a result, 20 % larger nitrogen amounts added were removed after leached from the sediments, which was probably caused by the fact that biological activity was increased by optimization of operating conditions as well as that mineralization and ammonification of organic matters in sediments were elevated by the enlarged population of microorganism after injection of organic C-sources and trace elements. The denitrification was more activated after the injection of organic C-sources and trace elements. The leaching amount of ammonium also increased steeply. The nitrification rate of the slurry reactor was 189 ng N/min·g in dry weight.
