Effects of annealing holding time on capacitance performance of RuO2–IrO2–graphene/Ti electrodes

        Yanhong Wang,Shanfeng Huang,Jie Guo,Qiongqiong Ma,Yanqun Shao,Kongfa Chen,Dian Tang 한국물리학회 2019 Current Applied Physics Vol.19 No.7

The thermal decomposition method was used to prepare composite electrodes of the Ruthenium oxide–Iridium oxide–Graphene (RuO2–IrO2–G). Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X–ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and electrochemical tests were used to study the influence of different annealing holding time on the surface morphology, phase composition, and capacitive performance of the coatings. The results showed that more and more RuO2, IrO2 nanoparticles were observed on the surface and cracks of the coating as the annealing holding time increasing. The RuO2–IrO2–G/Ti electrode was obtained by annealing for 5 h. The coating of the electrode consists of a certain amount of amorphous phase and nano–crystalline phase, and it had good electronic conductivity and ionic conductivity. At the same time, the electrode was prepared at 5 h had the largest specific capacitance of 778.46 F/g, which increased by 430.89 F/g than the electrode was prepared at 1 h. In addition, the electrode also had superior capacitance performance, capacitance retention and power characteristics.

The role of marital status in the online lending market: Evidence from the Renrendai platform

        Yanhong Qian,Wenli Huang,Anyun Chen 한국증권학회 2022 한국증권학회지 Vol.51 No.4

Based on data from the Renrendai platform in China, this paper studies the impacts of marital status on funding success and default. Probit models are employed to perform the main regressions. The empirical results show that married borrowers have the highest rate of funding success, followed by divorced and single borrowers. While the default risk of divorced borrowers is higher than that of married borrowers, it is not different from that of single borrowers. In addition, this paper uncovers an important joint effect of marital status and education on online lending.

CTCF-mediated H3K27me3 enrichment on the LncRNA MALAT1 promoter regulates the cardiomyocytes from I/R-induced apoptosis through targeting miR-26b-5p

        Yang Yanhong,Chen Zhiyong,Le Huan 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2023 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.19 No.1

Background It is reported that LncRNAs play an important role in various diseases, including myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury. However, the regulatory mechanism of LncRNAs in I/R injury of cardiac has not been fully elucidated. Objective This study aimed to explore the interaction of LncRNA MALAT1 and aberrant histone modification in I/R injury cardiomyocytes. Results After myocardial I/R or H/R injury, the expression level of CTCF was up-regulated and MALAT1 was downregulated. Silencing of CTCF promoted the cardiomyocytes survival and apoptosis after H/R treatment. Moreover, the expression of H3K27me3 was significantly inhibited by CTCF down-regulation. H3K27me3 protein could directly bind to the promoter of MALAT1. In addition, we found that the inhibition CTCF could up-regulate the expression of MALAT1 in cardiomyocytes. In addition, down-regulation of MALAT1 could reverse the effects of silencing of CTCF on cardiomyocytes growth and apoptosis in H/R injury. Furthermore, the bioinformatic analysis showed 12 potential targets, while only miR- 26b-5p could directly bind with MALAT1. The inhibition of CTCF repressed the miR-26b-5p expression and the silencing of MALAT1 promoted miR-26b-5p expression. Besides, the miR-26b-5p was decreased in cardiomyocytes under H/R treatment. Overexpression of MALAT1 significantly promoted cardiomyocytes cell growth and repressed cell apoptosis, while the miR-26b-5p reversed these effects. In myocardial I/R injury mice model, overexpression of MALAT1 alleviated the myocardial tissue injury and repressed the H3K27me3 level, however, all those effects were reversed by CTCF. Conclusions CTCF was highly expressed in H/R cardiomyocytes and I/R myocardial tissue and the silencing of CTCFmediated H3K27me3 dissociating from the MALAT1 promoter to regulate cardiomyocytes survival and apoptosis by targeting miR-26b-5p. It provided a new therapeutic marker for myocardial I/R injury.

Antinociceptive effects of oleuropein in experimental models of neuropathic pain in male rats

( Huayong Chen ),( Dandan Ma ),( Huapeng Zhang ),( Yanhong Tang ),( Jun Wang ),( Renhu Li ),( Wen Wen ),( Yi Zhang ) 대한통증학회 2021 The Korean Journal of Pain Vol.34 No.1

Background: The present investigation explored the therapeutic actions of oleuropein along with the possible signaling pathway involved in attenuating neuropathic pain in chronic constriction injury (CCI) and vincristine-induced neuropathic pain in male rats. Methods: Four loose ligatures were placed around the sciatic nerve to induce CCI, and vincristine (50 μg/kg) was injected for 10 days to develop neuropathic pain. The development of cold allodynia, mechanical allodynia, and mechanical hyperalgesia was assessed using different pain-related behavioral tests. The levels of H2S, cystathionine-γ-lyase (CSE), cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS), orexin, and nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) were measured in the sciatic nerve. Results: Treatment with oleuropein for 14 days led to significant amelioration of behavioral manifestations of neuropathic pain in two pain models. Moreover, oleuropein restored both CCI and vincristine-induced decreases in H2S, CSE, CBS, orexin, and Nrf2 levels. Co-administration of suvorexant, an orexin receptor antagonist, significantly counteracted the pain-attenuating actions of oleuropein and Nrf2 levels without modulating H2S, CSE and CBS. Conclusions: Oleuropein has therapeutic potential to attenuate the pain manifestations in CCI and vincristine-induced neuropathic pain, possibly by restoring the CSE, CBS, and H2S, which may subsequently increase the expression of orexin and Nrf2 to ameliorate behavioral manifestations of pain.

ADAPTIVE AUTHORITY ALLOCATION OF HUMAN-AUTOMATION SHARED CONTROL FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE

        Wu Yanhong,Wei Hanbing,Chen Xing,Xu Jin,Rahul Sharma 한국자동차공학회 2020 International journal of automotive technology Vol.21 No.3

Great advances had been achieved in the discipline of environmental perception, motion planning and control strategy implementation, however, fully autonomous vehicle is still far from large-scale commercial application. The concept of “human-automation shared control” provides a promising solution to enhance autonomous driving safety, to which great research effort has been contributed in recent years. Nevertheless, more attention should be given to the following aspects. The present shared control strategy either only considers the discontinuous switching control between driver and ADS or investigates the simple effect of driver’s behavior in specific scenarios. The adaptive authority allocation between the driver’s active assistance and ADS hasn’t been investigated yet. In this paper, a shared control experiment with driver’s active assistance is conducted in scheduled traffic scenarios to observe the state of vehicle and arm’ EMG signal. After that, we construct a feature classification algorithm for shared control authority by clustering the experimental data. Then, a SCS with incremental PID controller and 2 DOF vehicle dynamic model is proposed. For validation of the SCS, the comparison of vehicle performance for different control authority illustrates that SCS can allocate appropriate control authority to improve the safety.

        Yuqin Wang,Yanhong Zhao,Hua Chen,Tingting Lu,Rujie Yang,Xiuxiu Weng,Wanhong Li Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2024 Animal Bioscience Vol.37 No.6

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Codonopsis pilosula polysaccharide (CPP) on the motility, mitochondrial integrity, acrosome integrity rate, and antioxidant ability of sheep sperm after preservation at 4℃. Methods: Semen from healthy adult rams were collected and divided into four groups with separate addition of 0, 200, 400, and 1,000 mg/L CPP. Sperm motility was analyzed using the Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis software after preservation at 4℃ for 24, 72, 120, and 168 h. Sperm acrosome integrity rate was analyzed by Giemsa staining at 24, 72, and 120 h, and mitochondrial membrane integrity was analyzed by Mito-Tracker Red CMXRos. The total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content of spermatozoa were measured after 120 h of preservation. Results: The sperm viability and forward-moving sperm under 200 mg/L CPP were significantly higher than that in the control group at 72 h (61.28%±3.89% vs 52.83%±0.70%, 51.53%±4.06% vs 42.84%±1.14%), and 168 h (47.21%±0.85% vs 41.43%±0.37%, 38.68%±0.87% vs 31.68%±0.89%). The percentage of fast-moving sperm (15.03%±1.10% vs 11.39%±1.03%) and slow-moving sperm (23.63%±0.76% vs 20.29%±1.11%) in the 200 mg/L group was significantly higher than control group at 168 h. The mitochondrial membrane integrity of the sperm in the group with 200 mg/L CPP was significantly higher than those in the control group after storage at 4℃ for 120 h (74.76%±2.54% vs 65.67%±4.51%, p<0.05). The acrosome integrity rate in the group with 200 mg/L (87.66%±1.26%) and 400 mg/L (84.00%±2.95%) was significantly higher than those in the control group (80.65%±0.16%) after storage for 24 h (p<0.05). CPP also increased T-AOC and decreased the MDA concentration after preservation at 4℃ (p<0.05). Conclusion: Adding CPP could improve the T-AOC of sperm, inhibit lipid peroxidation, and facilitate semen preservation.

Response of Glucocorticoid Receptor Alpha and Histone Deacetylase 2 to Glucocorticoid Treatment Predicts the Prognosis of Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss

        Xiuling Zhang,Jinxiang Chen,Ziwen Gao,Hui Qi,Yanhong Dai,Wandong She 대한이비인후과학회 2019 Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology Vol.12 No.4

Objectives. To investigate glucocorticoid receptor (GR) and histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) gene expression and protein levels in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with severe or profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) and to explore the roles of GRs and HDAC2 in glucocorticoid (GC) insensitivity. Methods. Fifty-five severe or profound SSNHL patients were enrolled in the study. According to hearing improvement after GC treatment, patients were assigned into two groups: GC-sensitive and GC-resistant. A normal reference group included 20 healthy volunteers without hearing loss. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analyses were used to detect the relative expression of GRα, GRβ, and HDAC2 in PBMCs at the mRNA and protein levels. Results. The protein levels of GRs and HDAC2 in PBMCs of SSNHL patients were lower than the normal reference values before GC treatment. Compared with the GC-resistant group, both the mRNA and protein levels of GRα and HDAC2 were significantly increased in the GC-sensitive group after GC treatment. Conclusion. A lack of GRα and HDAC2 induction following steroid treatment in GC-resistant SSNHL patients may play a fundamental mechanistic role in GC insensitivity. Response of GRα and HDAC2 to steroid treatment may, thus, predict the prognosis of hearing improvement in SSNHL patients.

Expression Patterns of Circular RNAs from Primary Kinase Transcripts in the Mammary Glands of Lactating Rats

        Chun-lei Zhang,Hui Wu,YanHong Wang,YuLong Zhao,XingTang Fang,CaiFa Chen,Hong Chen 한국유방암학회 2015 Journal of breast cancer Vol.18 No.3

Purpose: Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a novel class of RNAs, perform important functions in biological processes. However, the role of circRNAs in the mammary gland remains unknown. The present study is aimed at identifying and characterizing the circRNAs expressed in the mammary gland of lactating rats. Methods: Deep sequencing of RNase R-enriched rat lactating mammary gland samples was performed and circRNAs were predicted using a previously reported computational pipeline. Gene ontology terms of circRNA-producing genes were also analyzed. Results: A total of 6,824 and 4,523 circRNAs were identified from rat mammary glands at two different lactation stages. Numerous circRNAs were specifically expressed at different lactation stages, and only 1,314 circRNAs were detected at both lactation stages. The majority of the candidate circRNAs map to noncoding intronic and intergenic regions. The results demonstrate a circular preference or specificity of some genes. DAVID analysis revealed an enrichment of protein kinases and related proteins among the set of genes encoding circRNAs. Interestingly, four protein-coding genes (Rev3l, IGSF11, MAML2, and LPP) that also transcribe high levels of circRNAs have been reported to be involved in cancer. Conclusion: Our findings provide the basis for comparison between breast cancer profiles and for selecting representative circRNA candidates for future functional characterization in breast development and breast cancer.
