        王國維境界涚說的現代美學意义

        왕국유는 중국 역사상 현대 미학을 체계적으로 연구한 첫 번째로 인물이다. 그의 境界涚은 중국의 전통적인 이론인 意境涚을 현대 미학의 범주로 이끌어 주었다. 그는 철저하게 중국 전통의 功利主义 미학관을 배격하고 이를 天功利主义 미학관으로 대체하였다. 또한 이러한 기초위에 詩學의 가치를 인생의 가치와 결합시키게 해주어 시학의 인문 가치를 높여 주었다. 무공리주의 미학관과 현대 미학 이론의 기초위에 왕국유는 독창적인 경계 미학을 창조해 내었으니, 이는 중국 미학사에서 미증유의 일이었다. 왕국유의 境界 미학은 중국 전통의 의경론과 서방 현대 미학에 대한 새로운 해석이니, 이는 중국 當代 문학 이론의 중요한 방법론이 되어 주었다. As the first person studying esthetics, WANG Guowei turned the traditional Artistic Conception into modern esthetics. He thoroughly abandoned the traditional utility esthetics and established modern no-utility esthetics. Based on no-utility esthetics, he opened poem-humanity value in china by contacting literature with humanity, created modern systematical Artistic-Conception-esthetics, based on his modern experience of human nature, he re-readed Chinese traditional Artistic Conception and modern esthetics of west.

      • Protein-protein Interaction Network Analyses for Elucidating the Roles of LOXL2-delta72 in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        Lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2), a member of the lysyl oxidase (LOX) family, is a copper-dependent enzyme that catalyzes oxidative deamination of lysine residues on protein substrates. LOXL2 was found to be overexpressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in our previous research. We later identified a LOXL2 splicing variant LOXL2-delta72 and we overexpressed LOXL2-delta72 and its wild type counterpart in ESCC cells following microarray analyses. First, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of LOXL2 and LOXL2-delta72 compared to empty plasmid were applied to generate protein-protein interaction (PPI) sub-networks. Comparison of these two sub-networks showed hundreds of different proteins. To reveal the potential specific roles of LOXL2- delta72 compared to its wild type, the DEGs of LOXL2-delta72 vs LOXL2 were also applied to construct a PPI sub-network which was annotated by Gene Ontology. The functional annotation map indicated the third PPI sub-network involved hundreds of GO terms, such as "cell cycle arrest", "G1/S transition of mitotic cell cycle", "interphase", "cell-matrix adhesion" and "cell-substrate adhesion", as well as significant "immunity" related terms, such as "innate immune response", "regulation of defense response" and "Toll signaling pathway". These results provide important clues for experimental identification of the specific biological roles and molecular mechanisms of LOXL2-delta72. This study also provided a work flow to test the different roles of a splicing variant with high-throughput data.

        Macrophage migration inhibitory factor mediates peripheral nerve injury-induced hypersensitivity by curbing dopaminergic descending inhibition

        Our previous works disclosed the contributing role of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and dopaminergic inhibition by lysine dimethyltransferase G9a/Glp complex in peripheral nerve injury-induced hypersensitivity. We herein propose that the proinflammatory cytokine MIF participates in the regulation of neuropathic hypersensitivity by interacting with and suppressing the descending dopaminergic system. The lumbar spinal cord (L-SC) and ventral tegmental area (VTA) are two major locations with significant upregulation of MIF after chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerve, and they display time-dependent changes, along with a behavioral trajectory. Correspondingly, dopamine (DA) content shows the reverse characteristic change to MIF with a time-dependent curve in post-surgical behavior. The levels of both MIF and DA are reversed by the MIF tautomerase inhibitor ISO-1, and a negative relationship exists between MIF and DA. The reversed role of ISO-1 also affects tyrosine hydroxylase expression. Furthermore, CCI induces Th promoter CpG site methylation in the L-SC and VTA areas, and this effect could be abated by ISO-1 administration. G9a/SUV39H1 and H3K9me2/H3K9me3 enrichment within the Th promoter region following CCI in the L-SC and VTA was also decreased by ISO-1. In cultured dopaminergic neurons, rMIF enhanced the recruitment of G9a and SUV39H1, followed by an increase in H3K9me2/H3K9me3. These molecular changes correspondingly exhibited alterations in Th promoter CpG site methylation and pain behaviors. In summary, MIF functions as a braking factor in curbing dopaminergic descending inhibition in peripheral nerve injury-induced hypersensitivity by mediating Th gene methylation through G9a/SUV39H1-associated H3K9 methylation.

        Blood Pressure Variability and Vascular Dysfunction in Essential Hypertension

        There are several aspects of blood pressure. Clinically, how to best assess blood pressure average and variability is still a matter of the ongoing debate. Besides office blood pressure, we must pay more careful attention focused on hypertension with blood pressure fluctuation. Impaired endothelial function is intimately associated with the development of hypertension and atherosclerosis. In this review, we describe the relation between endothelial dysfunction and hypertension, the effect of gene polymorphism on endothelial dysfunction, the effects of antihypertensive agents and dietary supplementation on impaired endothelial function in hypertension. In order to predict the future atherosclerosis and cardiovascular events in subjects with hypertension, the adequate assessment of endothelial function is one of the most reliable markers. Furthermore, we discuss the close relationship between blood pressure variability and endothelial function. Blood pressure variability during a day or a week is an important, new risk factor for cardiovascular disease and restoring impaired endothelial function might be a target to prevent blood pressure variation and future cardiovascular events.

      • Comprehensive Bioinformation Analysis of the MRNA Profile of Fascin Knockdown in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        Background: Fascin, an actin-bundling protein forming actin bundles including filopodia and stress fibers, is overexpressed in multiple human epithelial cancers including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Previously we conducted a microarray experiment to analyze fascin knockdown by RNAi in ESCC. Method: In this study, the differentially expressed genes from mRNA expression profilomg of fascin knockdown were analyzed by multiple bioinformatics methods for a comprehensive understanding of the role of fascin. Results: Gene Ontology enrichment found terms associated with cytoskeleton organization, including cell adhesion, actin filament binding and actin cytoskeleton, which might be related to fascin function. Except GO categories, the differentially expressed genes were annotated by 45 functional categories from the Functional Annotation Chart of DAVID. Subpathway analysis showed thirty-nine pathways were disturbed by the differentially expressed genes, providing more detailed information than traditional pathway enrichment analysis. Two subpathways derivated from regulation of the actin cytoskeleton were shown. Promoter analysis results indicated distinguishing sequence patterns and transcription factors in response to the co-expression of downregulated or upregulated differentially expressed genes. MNB1A, c-ETS, GATA2 and Prrx2 potentially regulate the transcription of the downregulated gene set, while Arnt-Ahr, ZNF42, Ubx and TCF11-MafG might co-regulate the upregulated genes. Conclusions: This multiple bioinformatic analysis helps provide a comprehensive understanding of the roles of fascin after its knockdown in ESCC.

        Performance of water-jet pump under acceleration

        The instantaneous acceleration affects the performance of the water-jet pump obviously. Here, based on the user-defined function, the method to simulate the inner flow in water-jet pumps under acceleration conditions was established. The effects of two different acceleration modes (linear acceleration and exponential acceleration) and three kinds of different acceleration time (0.5s, 1s and 2s) on the performance of the water-jet pump were analyzed. The results show that the thrust and the pressure pulsation under exponential acceleration are lower than that under linear acceleration at the same time; the vapor volume fraction in the impeller under linear acceleration is 27.3% higher than that under exponential acceleration. As the acceleration time increases, the thrust gradually increases and the pressure pulsation amplitude at the impeller inlet and outlet gradually decreases, while the law of pressure pulsation is the opposite at the diffuser outlet. The main frequency of pressure pulsation at the impeller outlet is different under different acceleration time. The research results can provide some reference for the optimal design of water-jet pumps.

        International faculty in China: case studies of four leading universities in Shanghai

        To attract and hire high-level international faculty to leading universities is an important task in building world-class universities in China. However, there is much left to explore and to understand about international faculty in China. Based on a brief review of China’s higher education system and international faculty, findings from A National Survey of International Faculty at Chinese Universities and Colleges (conducted in 2017), and case studies of four leading universities in Shanghai, this study explores the main characteristics and motivations of international faculty in China by discipline, age, gender, and so forth. More specially, it explores the individual, educational, and professional characteristics of international faculty at Chinese colleges and universities, how these characteristics vary among different groups of international faculty, and why they came to Chinese leading universities?

        중국 인문사회학술단체의 구조와 문제점 -학술성과 민주성을 중심으로

        본고는 중국 학술단체를 통제하는 이중관리 및 ``명의등록체제``에서 비롯된 학술단체의 문제점을 분석하였다. 또한 학술성과 민주성의 측면에서 중국학술단체에 대해 보다 구체적이고 실증적 분석을 시도하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 이중관리 및 ``명의등록체제``에 의한 학술단체의 ``관료화``는 학술단체 고유의 속성인 학술성과 민주성을 약화시켰다. 즉, ``명의등록기관`` 혹은 상급기관의 리더들이 임원으로 선출되고, 학술적 연구와 교류 및 학술단체에 대한 권위가 부족하며, 회원총회 및 이사회의 실질적인 역할이 없을 뿐 아니라, 실질적인 민주제도가 작동하지 않고 있다. 따라서 설문조사에 따르면 조사대상자들은 학술성과 민주성을 강화할 것을 바라고 있다. 다시 말하면, 임원에 대한 학술적 조건을 강화하고, 임원에 대한 연명추천 및 경쟁선거 등을 실시하고, 실질적인 회원총회를 강화하고, 이사회 및 상임이사회의 기능을 활성화하고, 정기적인 학술대회를 개최하여 학술성과 민주성을 제고하기를 원한다. The China`s Humanities and Social Science Association is in control of the government by the Double Management System and Real-name Register System(掛고體制). This article makes an attempt to make a further analysis on the Association in terms of its academic and democratic feature. The result of the study are as follows: The bureaucratization of the Double Management System and the Real-name Register System deprives the Association of its inherent academical and democratic nature, making its association officer lack academic research, and communication, and authority. The inability of Congress members and the board of directors makes it hard to operate the real democratic system. The respondents to the survey hope for the academical and democratic nature of the Association, that is, they want to strengthen the board of directors`s academical conditions, through jointly signed recommendation, competition mechanism, strengthened substantive rights of congress members, proper function of the board of directors, and regular academic meeting.
