Unsolved Problem in Human Resources Qualities of Vietnamese Banking Industry in Integration
Truong,Van Khanh,Tram,Bich Loc 한국유통과학회 2019 KODISA ICBE (International Conference on Business Vol.2019 No.-
Economic integration become the inevitable trend of all countries around the world brings not only opportunities but also challenges for all aspects of society, especially the banking sector. Meanwhile, workforce in Vietnamese banking sector has been not only insufficient but also leftovers, which creates unsolvable problems for unemployment in the current period and for the competitiveness of the sector in near future. After conducting research in many different aspects, this paper finds out the main reasons why banker resources have not met the requirements of society, which can be summarized as follows: management methods of State agencies have only been implemented for form’s sake and their development planning is not appropriate for economic environment; most of training facilities focus on scale rather than the quality; the way of doing business of some banks creates a lot of potential risk but they have no appropriate management mechanism; and students majoring in banking sector have negligent learning attitude and deviant thinking of their career in future.
Fintech Credit - Opportunities for SMEs in Vietnam
Truong,Van Khanh,Tram,Bich Loc 한국유통과학회 2019 KODISA ICBE (International Conference on Business Vol.2019 No.-
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have an important role in the development of countries, especially in developing ones like Vietnam, but access to capital of this type of business is always difficult, while the support of the Vietnamese government has not been effective or negligible. However, the fourth industrial revolution (industry 4.0) have created a new type of business - Fintech companies which provide SMEs an easier way to access capital. Nevertheless, the concept of Fintech is relatively new in Vietnam and the operation of these companies implicit certain risks. Therefore, in order to help SMEs take advantage of this non-bank capital resource, the authorities are asked to promulgate laws or decrees for business environment of Fintech companies.

Purpose: Online meeting is chosen instead of face-to-face conferences as a solution that ensures both effectiveness and legality during times of strong epidemic outbreaks. In the current period, managers can have different types of meeting options for information distribution. This study has examined the effect of past behavior on the managers’ intention of organizing online meetings. Research design, data and methodology: Data were collected from a survey with 475 managers and put into SmartPLS 4.0 for analysis. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to test relationships in the research model. Results: The findings indicated that past behavior plays the most critical role in explaining the organizing online meeting intention of managers, followed by attitude and subjective norms. Meanwhile, the perceived behavioral control factor has absolutely no effect on intention in the context of this study. Notably, attitude and subjective norms also remarkably mediated the impact of past behavior on managers’ intention. Conclusions: This study has added to the understanding of the meeting organization behavior of managers. Even if the epidemic is under control, the administrators should still organize some meetings in the form of online because it will affect the social perceptions of future behavior and behavioral intention.

Study Design: Retrospective study.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to see how well the Tomita score, revised Tokuhashi score, modified Bauer score, Van der Linden score, classic Skeletal Oncology Research Group (SORG) algorithm, SORG nomogram, and New England Spinal Metastasis Score (NESMS) predicted 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year survival of non-surgical lung cancer spinal metastases.Overview of Literature: There has been no study assessing the performance of prognostic scores for non-surgical lung cancer spinal metastases. Methods: Data analysis was carried out to identify the variables that had a significant impact on survival. For all patients with spinal metastasis from lung cancer who received non-surgical treatment, the Tomita score, revised Tokuhashi score, modified Bauer score, Van der Linden score, classic SORG algorithm, SORG nomogram, and NESMS were calculated. The performance of the scoring systems was assessed by using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. The predictive accuracy of the scoring systems was quantified using the area under the ROC curve (AUC).Results: A total of 127 patients are included in the present study. The median survival of the population study was 5.3 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 3.7–9.6 months). Low hemoglobin was associated with shorter survival (hazard ratio [HR], 1.49; 95% CI, 1.00–2.23; p =0.049), while targeted therapy after spinal metastasis was associated with longer survival (HR, 0.34; 95% CI, 0.21–0.51; p <0.001). In the multivariate analysis, targeted therapy was independently associated with longer survival (HR, 0.3; 95% CI, 0.17–0.5; p <0.001). The AUC of the time-dependent ROC curves for the above prognostic scores revealed all of them performed poorly (AUC <0.7).Conclusions: The seven scoring systems investigated are ineffective at predicting survival in patients with spinal metastasis from lung cancer who are treated non-surgically.

(1-x)[(Pb0.94Sr0.05La0.01)(Zr0.54Ti0.46)0.9975O3]-x[Bi(Mn1/2Ti1/2)O3] (PSLZT-BMT) ferroelectric material ceramics with x in therange of 0-0.05 mol were successfully synthesized following the conventional solid-phase route. The materials were thoroughlyinvestigated to study their structural phase, microstructure, ferro-piezoelectric characteristics, and dielectric behavior. Theexperimental results show that the density of the samples decreased from 7.75 to 7.58 g/cm3, and the relative density decreasedin the range of 98.48%-96.28%. However, with increasing contents of BMT, the dielectric and ferroelectric properties ofPSLZT-BMT ceramics tend to decrease, specifically the maximum dielectric constant (εmax) of PSLZT-BMT decreased in therange of 23579-9991 and the residual polarization (Pr) decreases in the range of 22.54-7.87 μC/cm2 when the doping contentincreased in the range of 0.0-0.05 mol. The diffusivity values (γ) of the PSLZT-BMT material are 1.74, 1.78, 1.82, 1.84, 1.79,and 1.77 when the doping content x varies as 0.0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, and 0.05 mol, respectively, which is characteristic ofrelaxor ferroelectric materials. Besides, the Tm, TB, TC-W, and C values depend on BMT concentration, and the trend decreases.

Purpose: This paper (1) identifies the factors that affect people's changing habits towards waste sorting, (2) evaluates the benefits of waste sorting to the environment and (3) designs communication strategies to change people's behavior and habits in sorting plastic waste in Ho Chi Mnh City, Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: Using the data from 309 people that are living in Ho Chi Minh City and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), to evaluate variables and test the hypotheses. Results: Research results show that attitudes, subjective standards, behavioral control, and facilities affect people's intention to classify plastic waste. We find that environmental concerns greatly influence people's attitudes. In contrast, environmental concerns have a relatively weaker effect on people's degree of behavioral control. Conclusion: Environmental protection is a matter of concern in the world. In Vietnam, this issue has been institutionalized into law to create a basis for improving the effectiveness of environmental protection activities. This article has some limitations. Firstly, sample is limited to HCMC residents; the study results are not representative of the entire population of Vietnam. This paper is based on cross-sectional data, which is not the best way to establish a causal relationship between the intention to sort plastic waste and its drivers.

Consumption of plant-derived natural products and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs is increasing on a global scale, and studies of phytochemical–OTC drug interactions are becoming more significant. The intake of dietary plants and herbs rich in phytochemicals may affect drug-metabolizing enzymes (DMEs) and transporters. These effects may lead to alterations in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of OTC drugs when concomitantly administered. Some phytochemical–drug interactions benefit patients through enhanced efficacy, but many interactions cause adverse effects. This review discusses possible mechanisms of phytochemical–OTC drug interactions mediated by phase I and II DMEs and phase III transporters. In addition, current information is summarized for interactions between phytochemicals derived from fruits, vegetables, and herbs and OTC drugs, and counseling is provided on appropriate and safe use of OTC drugs.

Enhancement of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory functions is thought to be effective strategies for disease prevention. This study aimed to investigate antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of extracts from roots, stems, and leaves of Polyscias fruticosa. Results showed that P. fruticosa root, stem and leaf extracts and their fractions exhibited strong antioxidant activities, as evident from DPPH, ABTS+, NO radical scavenging activities. In addition, antioxidant activity was highly correlated with total phenolic, flavonoid, and saponin contents. Moreover, these extracts and their fractions significantly inhibited NO production and the expression of iNOS, COX-2, IL-1β in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells; among them, hexane fraction exhibited stronger antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects than other fractions. P. fruticosa root, stem, and leaf extracts and their fractions also simultaneously suppressed the ROS formation and enhanced the expression of antioxidant enzyme HO-1 in LPS-stimulated macrophages. These results suggest that P. fruticosa could be a source of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents for prevention and/or treatment of pathological conditions.
