3-D Deformation Behavior Simulation of Cable Stitch Based on Particle System in Weft Knitted Fabrics

        Sha Sha,Lei Luo,Zhongmin Deng,Dapeng Yuan,Bin Li,Xuewei Jiang,Hui Tao,Qufu Wei 한국섬유공학회 2018 Fibers and polymers Vol.19 No.9

The static simulation of weft knitting can be efficiently realized by graphics simulation techniques, but there still remains a challenge for mechanical models. The lack of practical mechanical models significantly limit the realistic deformation behaviors of complex cable stitches, which lead to a great different between the simulation effect and the actual fabric. In order to obtain the deformation behavior and volumetric performance of cable stitch, loop models were built based on an improved particle system in this work. Compared with plain weft knitted, the offset value of bonding points of cable stitches were measured. By analyzing the relationship between the deformation of loops and the displacement of the particles, the deformation behavior of cable stitch was simulated. Velocity-Verlet integration was introduced to simulate cable stitches and the stable results were obtained. The results show that these models and algorithm displayed the accurate deformation behavior of cable stitches, as demonstrated by qualitative comparisons to measure the deformations of actual samples.

Characterization of Printed Circuit Board Micro-Holes Drilling Process by Accurate Analysis of Drilling Force Signal

Sha Tao,Zhisen Gao,Hongyan Shi 한국정밀공학회 2022 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.23 No.2

Drilling force directly affects the micro drill life and micro hole quality in the micro hole drilling of printed circuit board (PCB). But in the micro hole drilling process, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of drilling force signal is low. Drilling force signal often submerged by noise signal, these brings great difficulty to measurement during PCB drilling process. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the SNR of drilling force signal in PCB drilling process. The observed signal of drilling force is obtained by PCB micro hole drilling experiment. Based on the cyclostationary and time domain accumulation theory, the drilling force signal is quadratic filtered, and the filtering effect of the filter on the drilling force signal is evaluated. In this paper, a composite multiple filter is designed to improve the SNR of drilling force signal rapidly and efficiently (SNR increased by 11.76 dB), realize the accurate description of the PCB micro hole drilling process.

      • Effects of Rad51 on Survival of A549 Cells

        Yu, Sha-Sha,Tu, Yi,Xu, Lin-Lin,Tao, Xue-Qin,Xu, Shan,Wang, Shan-Shan,Xiong, Yi-Feng,Mei, Jin-Hong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.1

Rad51, a key factor in the homologous recombination pathway for the DNA double-strand break repair, plays a vital role in genesis of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In recent years, more and more studies indicate that high expression of Rad51 is of great relevance to resistance of NSCLC to chemotherapeutic agents and ionizing radiation. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the role of single Rad51 on cell viability in vitro. Our results show that depletion of endogenous Rad51 is sufficient to inhibit the growth of the A549 lung cancer cell line, by accumulating cells in G1 phase and inducing cell death. We conclude that independent Rad51 expression is critical to the survival of A549 cells and can be an independent prognostic factor in NSCLC patients.

Vol.16 No.5

The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of pleats design through the analysis of modern female fashion as they appear in the ``Collections`` from ``09 A/W to ``12 S/S. Data collection of 1027 was done through the review of ``pret-a-porter Collections`` of three cities; Milan, New York, Paris. Along with the qualitative interpretation of pleats design, statistical analysis of frequency and χ²- test were completed for data analysis. The main findings were as follows; 1. The five types of pleats design were founded in the order of accordion, knife, box, inverted, and sunburst pleats. The frequency and ratio of pleats design occurency showed significant difference between collections. 2. There were significant difference between the types of pleats and their line characteristics of thickness, continuity, length, direction. = Thin fabrics with delicate fine folds were mainly appeared in accordion and sunburst pleats. On the other hand, midium thickness fabrics were used for knife, box & inverted pleats, however, the different images were projected according to the width and the number of folds, characteristics of fabrics and textures. = In all the type of pleats but sunburst, continuity line was appeared the most. The discontinuous lines were appeared the most in the layered types and, sometimes, at some construction lines to add some decorative details or design variations. = The long line were the most frequently appeared in long one-pieces or long skirts of knife, accordion, sunburst pleats. While, the shorter lines showed the most frequently in box and inverted pleats, which mainly used for skirts or the lower part of one-piece. = For the line directions, the vertical lines were the most frequently appeared, and followed by mixed and diagonal line. In mixed or diagonal lines, same type of pleat was repeated in one design. For diagonal lines, one direction was mainly used, however, the symmetrical arrangements or repeated diagonal pleats in various directions also used. In mixed lines, the type of one or two diagonal and one vertical line was the most frequently appeared.

Study on flexible two-axis roll-bending process for component with non-circular section

        Tao Zhang,Huapu Sha,Shihong Lu,Chao Du,Peng Chen 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.9

Two-axis roll-bending technology, with the advantages of small curvature radius, short straight section and high efficiency, is widely used in fields of aerospace and automobile. By adjusting indentation depth in two-axis roll-bending process, different curvature radius of circular and elliptic component can be formed. Roll-bending experiments and numerical simulations for component with circular and elliptic section are conducted. The results show that the forming curvature radius of circular component and its deviation both decrease with ascending indentation depth. The relationship between forming curvature radius and indentation depth is polynomial fitted. On this basis, ellipse parameter equation is established and different curvature radius at different position of the ellipse is achieved by adjustment of indentation depth. The relationship between indentation depth and forming time is obtained for elliptic component. Elliptic components with different sizes are formed. The stress distribution is uniform after roll-bending process and it increases with ascending indentation depth.

Study of Macroscopic Defects of Four-Layer Structure of Ti–6Al–4V During Superplastic Forming/Diffusion Bonding

Tao Zhang,Huapu Sha,Lei Li,Hai Gong 한국정밀공학회 2021 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.22 No.1

Superplastic forming/ diffusion bonding (SPF/DB) is a key technology for preparation of light-weight and integrated multilayer structures as superplastic deformation and diffusion joints can be achieved in one heat cycle. However, groove defects and inhomogeneous sheets thickness distribution usually appear during SPF/DB, which decreases the mechanical properties of multi-layer structures. In this study, numerical models of four-layer honeycomb and hollow blade structure are established and the effects of forming parameters (thickness ratio, strain rate, DB distance and width) on groove defect and thickness distribution are analyzed. The results show that groove defect for honeycomb structure can be eliminated under proper thickness ratio between face sheet to core sheet. The groove defect decreases with increasing DB distance and decreasing DB width. Insufficient deformation of vertical stiffener is the main problem for hollow blade structure and it can be improved by adjustment of the sheets thickness and the strain rate. Experiments are conducted on the basis of optimized parameters from simulation and agree with results from FEM. This study provides guidance for parameters selection for manufacturing of Ti–6Al–4V multi-layer structure.

Correlations Between Fasciology and Yin Yang Doctrine

        Hui Tao,Mei-chun Yu,Hui-ying Yang,Rong-mei Qu,Chun Yang,Xin Zhou,Yu Bai,Jing-peng Wu,Jun Wang,Ou Sha,Lin Yuan 사단법인약침학회 2011 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.4 No.2

The aim of this study is to explore the correlations between fasciology and yin yang doctrine. Professor Yuan developed fasciology by three-dimensional reconstruction of connective tissue (fascia) in the trunk and limbs of the human body and tracing back to tissue origins in light of biological evolution and developmental biology. Fasciology states that the human body can be divided into two systems: the supporting-storing system and the functional system. This article elaborates on the roles of the two systems and their mutual relationship. The two systems are used to analyze the yin,the yang, and their relationship. The two systems are promoted but also restricted in different contexts. The supporting-storing system is formed by undifferentiated connective tissue and provides undifferentiated cells and nutrients for differentiated cells of the functional system. Thus, the supporting-storing system could be classified as quiet, similar to yin. The functional system continuously maintains the various functional activities of the human body. Thus, the functional system could be classified as active, similar to yang. In interpreting the yin yang doctrine from the point of view of fasciology, yin can be compared with the supporting-storing system and yang can be compared with the functional system.

Simulation Model to Determine Ratios between Quay, Yard and Intra-Terminal Transfer Equipment in an Integrated Container Handling System

        Mei Sha,Theo Notteboom,Tao Zhang,Xin Zhou,Tianbao Qin 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2021 JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS AND TRADE Vol.19 No.1

This paper presents a generic simulation model to determine the equipment mix (quay, yard and intra-terminal transfer) for a Container Terminal Logistics Operations System (CTLOS). The simulation model for the CTLOS, a typical type of discrete event dynamic system (DEDS), consists of three sub-models: ship queue, loading-unloading operations and yard-gate operations. The simulation model is empirically applied to phase 1 of the Yangshan Deep Water Port in Shanghai. This study considers different scenarios in terms of container throughput levels, equipment utilization rates, and operational bottle-necks, and presents a sensitivity analysis to evaluate and choose reasonable equipment ratio ranges under different operational conditions.

Online Hop Timing Detection and Frequency Estimation of Multiple FH Signals

        Zhi-Chao Sha,Zhang-Meng Liu,Zhi-Tao Huang,Yi-Yu Zhou 한국전자통신연구원 2013 ETRI Journal Vol.35 No.5

This paper addresses the problem of online hop timing detection and frequency estimation of multiple frequencyhopping (FH) signals with antenna arrays. The problem is deemed as a dynamic one, as no information about the hop timing, pattern, or rate is known in advance, and the hop rate may change during the observation time. The technique of particle filtering is introduced to solve this dynamic problem, and real-time frequency and direction of arrival estimates of the FH signals can be obtained directly, while the hop timing is detected online according to the temporal autoregressive moving average process. The problem of network sorting is also addressed in this paper. Numerical examples are carried out to show the performance of the proposed method.
