From August 2 to 3 in 2017. Koran Arachnological Study members investigated the Spiders in the whole area Incheon Namdong-gu, and reported 14 Families, 38 Genus 50 Species of spiders. The collected spiders are placed (stored) in the Joo-Pil Spider museum.

Design of Port Plate in Gerotor Pump for Reduction of Pressure Pulsation

The pressure pulsation due to the gear geometry of the gerotor (generalized rotor) pump mainly occurs in an instant that the chamber of the gerotor enters the delivery port and leaves the suction one. Such a pressure pulsation may result in undesirable vibration and noise of pump components as well as cavitation in hydraulic system. Therefore, it is very important to examine the pressure characteristic of the gerotor pump at its design and analysis stages. In this paper, in order to reduce the pressure pulsation in the gerotor pump, the port plate with the relief grooves is designed by referring to as notch of vane pump and relief groove of piston pump. A series of the theoretical analyses on the pressure pulsation is performed in consideration of various design parameters of the port plate, including the installation positions of the port inlet/outlet and the groove width, and the operating conditions such as rotational velocity and delivery pressure.

Aims: The recently developed MRI-proton density fat fraction (PDFF) is known to be able to measure intrahepatic fat mass relatively accurately. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting the deviation of intrahepatic fat distribution in fatty liver patients using MRI-PDFF, and to suggest an ideal method of measuring intrahepatic fat mass using MRI-PDFF. Methods: We investigated the intrahepatic fat amount using MRI-PDFF and clinical characteristics in 164 patients. Three regions of interest (ROI) were measured for each hepatic lobe using MRI-PDFF to determine the amount of fat in the liver. The total liver fat amount was estimated by multiplying the volume of each lobe by the average fat amount. Results: Segment II had the lowest amount of fat and segment VII had the highest amount of fat. The fat distribution variation was smallest at segment VI and the largest at segment II. When comparing the right lobe with the left lobe, the mean fat mass of the left lobe was low and the standard deviation was severe. The difference in the distribution of intrahepatic fat distribution was higher with young age (r = -0.203, p = 0.009), higher BMI (r = 0.254, p =0.002), high intrahepatic fat amount (r=0.534, p<0.001), high cholesterol (r=0.209, p=0.009) and triglyceride concentration (r = 0.176, p = 0.029). Multivariate analysis showed that intrahepatic fat amount alone was a significant independent risk factor affecting intrahepatic fat distribution heterogeneity. Estimates of total liver fat amount were the most similar to the total fat content in the two lobes at the segment 4 and segment 5. The standard deviation was also significantly lower. Conclusions: The distribution of intrahepatic fat was heterogeneous in patients with fatty liver. It was possible to estimate intrahepatic fat amount ideally for measuring the fat mass in two lobes (segment 4 and 5).

We assessed the effects of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the porcine fatty acid synthase (FASN) gene regarding meat quality and fatty acid composition in two pig populations: Korean native pigs (KNP) were crossed with Yorkshire (YS) F2, and KNP were crossed with Landrace (LR) F2. Direct DNA sequencing using eight KNP and eight YS pigs revealed two SNPs: c.265C>T (silent) in exon 4 and c.6545A>C (Asn→His) in exon 39. The frequency of the two SNPs was analyzed using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method in seven pig breeds and their association with meat quality traits and fatty acid composition was studied. In the KNP × YS F2 population, both SNPs were significantly associated with the level of monounsaturated fatty acids, including palmitoleic (C16:1) and oleic acid (C18:1) (pC was associated with intramuscular fat content in both populations. Our results indicate that variations in c.265C>T and c.6545A>C of the pig FASN can be used to select animals with better fatty acid composition and meat quality. Moreover, KNP was a useful breed for identifying genetic factors affecting meat quality and fatty acid composition and for producing high quality pork.

Carbon materials with at least one dimension of 1?100 nm are called carbon nanomaterials. A significant body of previous research in physics, chemistry and biology has demonstrated that the properties of nano-composites are significantly different than those of the bulk materials [1]. Some unique phenomena, such as the quantum tunneling effect, and surface effects, have also been observed, and attributed to the large surface area and small size of the carbon nanomaterials. It has been reported that such nanomaterials exhibit high temperature sensitivity, high ductility, large surface area, high strain resistance, and low electrical resistivity [2]. Because of these unique features, the potential range of carbon nanomaterial applications is very extensive.
