The main purpose of this study is to investigate The Contribution Frequency of Leisure Participation to Leisure attitude among Married Women. The subjects of this study are married women residing in Seoul using a systematic stratified cluster random sampling. From our target sample of 500, excluding those who dropped out in the course of research or those questionnaires that were judged unreliable, the sample number used in actual analysis was 349 people. In order to analyze the data, this study used a SPSSWIN 11.0 program for statistical analysis. Correlation and Regression Analysis were conducted to examine hypothesis Based on the above research methods and procedures, this study produced the following results. The frequency of leisure participation influences leisure attitude. The higher the frequency of leisure participation the greater leisure attitude.

The subjects of this study are married women residing in Seoul using a systematic stratified cluster random sampling. From our target sample of 1,360, excluding those who dropped out in the course of research or those questionnaires that were judged unreliable, the sample number used in actual analysis was 952 people. In order to analyze the data, this study used a SPSSWIN 11.0 program for statistical analysis. MCA and ANCOVA were conducted to examine hypothesis Based on the above research methods and procedures, this study produced the following results. The Types in leisure activities influences on communication. In case of participation in sports activities was best communication. The Frequency in leisure activities influences on communication. In case of participation in 2-3 days a week was best communication.

Purpose:?The aims of this study were to assess frequency of stress induced cardiomyopathy (SCMP) and predictors for incidence of SCMP in patients who admitted to medical ICU. We also explored the predictors of in-hospital mortality in patients with SCMP.?Method:?It is a retrospective cohort study. A total of 338 patients admitted to medical ICU and underwent transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) between January 2015 and December 2015 were enrolled. Definition of SCMP was defines as follows: 1) transient hypokinesis, akinesis of the left ventricular mid segments with or without apical involvement or the regional wall motion abnormalities extend beyond a single epicardial vascular distribution; 2) absence of obstructive coronary disease; 3) new EKG abnormalities or modest elevation in cardiac troponin; 4) absence of pheochromocytoma, myocarditis. Logistic regression model was used to analysis predictors for incidence of SCMP and predictors of in-hospital mortality in SCMP respectively. Cox regression model was used to analysis the influence of SCMP to mortality.?Results:?Of the 338 patients, SCMP was observed in 42 patients (12.4%). Compared to 296 patients without SCMP, patients with SCMP had lower frequency of DM (19% vs 29.2%, p=0.01), COPD (4.8% vs 16.9%, p=0.04) and higher prevalence of using mechanical ventilator (MV, 90.5% vs 71.9%, p=0.03), and lower ejection fraction (EF, 38.0±15.6 vs 61.7±11.8, p<0.001). In multivariate analysis, lower BMI (odd ratio, 0.88; 95% CI, 0.78 to 0.99; p=0.04) and lower EF (odd ratio, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.87 to 0.92; p<0.01) were associated with development of SCMP. In a Cox regression model adjusted with several confounders (age, DM, malignancy, liver cirrhosis, shock, acute kidney injury, use of MV) SCMP showed trend to increase of 60-day mortality (p=0.052). Among 42 patients with SCMP, acute kidney injury(AKI) was the only risk factor for predicting in-hospital mortality (odd ratio, 8.19; 95% CI, 1.35 to 47.75; p=0.02).?Conclusions:?Our study showed that prevalence of SCMP was 12.4% and trend to increase of 60-day mortality of critically ill patients. In patients with SCMP, AKI was the only risk factor for predicting in-hospital mortality.

Azathioprine is widely used as an immunosuppressive drug in infiammatory bowel disease, many autoimmune disease and after organ transplantation to avoid rejection. Azathioprine has adverse reactions like hepatotoxicity. We report a case of azathioprine induced cholestatic hepatitis in patient with bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia(BOOP). A-37-year old woman was admitted because of pruritus and jaundice. She took transbronchial lung biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage for cough, dyspnea and GGO patterns on chest computed tomography(CT) scan before she admitted. And it was revealed that she had BOOP. So she had been followed and treated for BOOP with prednisolone from 23th Nov 2012 and azathioprine from 8th Jan 2013. 42 days after taking Azathioprine, routine blood test was taken. Serum bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase(ALP), aspartate transaminase(AST), and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) was elevated(Bilirubin 4.4mg/dL, AST 75IU/L, ALT 104IU/L) and. Other laboratory test, including prothrombin time, serum albumin, and serum protein were within normal range. There was no history of alcohol abuse or herbal medication intake at this period. To exclude other reasons for hepatotoxicity, serological test was performed. The patient tested to negative for Hepatitis A, B, and C as well as for other markers of autoimmune hepatitis. CT scan showed hepatomegaly with lymph node enlargement and there was no evidence of bile duct obstruction. And TPMT(thiopurine methyltransferase) genotyping was done and revealed to be wild type. Azathioprine was stopped and she was monitored for laboratory changes. Because it was regarded as azathioprine induced cholestatic hepatitis and jaundice, we considered not to do liver biopsy. Day 55 after starting azathioprine therapy, total bilirubin reached peak (12.3mg/ dL). The patient was discharged on day 63 with cholestatic parameters of 115U/L(ALP), 36U/L(γ-GT), and 11.5mg/dL(total bilirubin). After 2 months, total bilirubin was decreased to normal(0.8mg/dL). Treatment of BOOP has been continued only with oral steroid.
Metformin Alleviates Radiation-Induced Skin Fibrosis via the Downregulation of FOXO3

<P><B><I>Background/Aims:</I></B> Radiation-induced skin fibrosis is a common side effect of clinical radiotherapy. Our previous next-generation sequencing (NGS) study demonstrated the reduced expression of the regulatory α subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PIK3r1) in irradiated murine skin. Metformin has been reported to target the PIK3-FOXO3 pathway. In this study, we investigated the effects of metformin on radiation-induced skin fibrosis. <B><I>Methods:</I></B> Metformin was orally administered to irradiated mice. Skin fibrosis was analyzed by staining with H&E and Masson’s trichrome stain. The levels of cytokines and chemokines associated with fibrosis were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and quantitative RT-PCR. The roles of PIK3rl and FOXO3 in radiation-induced skin fibrosis were studied by overexpressing PIK3rl and transfecting FOXO3 siRNA in NIH3T3 cells and mouse-derived dermal fibroblasts (MDF). <B><I>Results:</I></B> The oral administration of metformin significantly reduced radiation-induced skin thickening and collagen accumulation and significantly reduced the radiation-induced expression of FOXO3 in murine skin. Additionally, the overexpression of PIK3r1 reduced the radiation-induced expression of FOXO3, while FOXO3 silencing decreased the radiation-induced expression of TGFβ <I>in vitro</I>. <B><I>Conclusions:</I></B> The results indicated that metformin suppresses radiation-induced skin injuries by modulating the expression of FOXO3 through PIK3r1. Collectively, the data obtained in this study suggested that metformin could be a potent therapeutic agent for alleviating radiation-induced skin fibrosis.</P>

Background: Coinfections with multiple nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) species have not been widely studied. We aimed to evaluate the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes in patients with NTM-pulmonary disease (PD) caused by coinfection with multiple NTM species. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients with NTM-PD at a tertiary referral hospital in Korea between March 2012 and December 2018. Coinfection was defined as two or more species of NTM pathogens isolated from the same respiratory specimen or different specimens within three months. Results: Among 1,009 patients with NTM-PD, 147 (14.6%) NTM coinfections were observed (average age 64.7 years, 69.4% women). NTM species were identified more frequently (median 6 vs. 3 times, P < 0.001) in the coinfection group than in the single species group, and follow-up duration was also longer in the coinfection group (median 44.9 vs. 27.1 months, P < 0.001). Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) and M. abscessus and M. massiliense (MAB) were the dominant combinations (n = 71, 48.3%). For patients treated for over six months in the MAC plus MAB group (n = 31), sputum culture conversion and microbiological cure were achieved in 67.7% and 41.9% of patients, respectively. We divided the MAC plus MAB coinfection group into three subgroups according to the target mycobacteria; however, no statistical differences were found in the treatment outcomes. Conclusion: In NTM-PD cases, a significant number of multiple NTM species coinfections occurred. Proper identification of all cultured NTM species through follow-up is necessary to detect multispecies coinfections. Further research is needed to understand the nature of NTM-PD in such cases.
