The growth temperature dependence of self-aligned -Ga2O3 nanostructures grown on an rplane sapphire substrate by using metal-organic chemical vapor deposition is reported. Periodic self-alignment of the -Ga2O3 grains was observed for certain growth temperature windows and the grain size of the -Ga2O3 structure varied in response to the growth temperature. At temperatures under 800 C, self-alignment of the -Ga2O3 structures was not observed. The self-alignment tendency began to appear at 900 C, and obvious self-alignment characteristics in a certain direction were observed at approximately 950 C. However, as the growth temperature was increased to more than 900 C the growth mode of the -Ga2O3 structure gradually deviated from the self-alignment mode, finally exhibiting a two-dimensional thin film mode at 1100 C. We surmise that the driving force of -Ga2O3 grain self-alignment is the surface-potential difference between the planar and the step regions of the substrate on an atomic scale, which originates from misorientation occurring during the r-plane sapphire cutting process.

<P>Aberrant activation of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling and subsequent up-regulation of beta-catenin response transcription (CRT) is a critical event in the development of human colon cancer. Thus, Wnt/beta-catenin signaling is an attractive target for the development of anticancer therapeutics. In this study, we identified hexachlorophene as an inhibitor of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling from cell-based small-molecule screening. Hexachlorophene antagonized CRT that was stimulated by Wnt3a-conditioned medium by promoting the degradation of beta-catenin. This degradation pathway is Siah-1 and adenomatous polyposis colidependent, but glycogen synthase kinase-3beta and F-box beta-transducin repeat-containing protein-independent. In addition, hexachlorophene represses the expression of cyclin D1, which is a known beta-catenin target gene, and inhibits the growth of colon cancer cells. Our findings suggest that hexachlorophene attenuates Wnt/beta-catenin signaling through the Siah-1-mediated beta-catenin degradation.</P>
요양병원 종사자들의 직무 스트레스와 직무 만족도가 서비스 질에 미치는 영향

연구목적: 요양병원에 근무하는 종사자들을 대상으로 직무 스트레스, 직무 만족도 및 서비스 질에 대해 조사하고 직무 스트레스, 직무 만족도 및 서비스 질에 대한 관계와 영향을 파악하여 직무 스트레스를 낮추고 직무 만족도와 서비스 질을 높이기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법: 요양병원에 종사하는 직원들의 직무 스트레스, 직무 만족도 및 서비스 질 정도의 상관성과 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 상관관계 연구로서, 연구 대상자의 일반적 특성과 직무 스트레스, 직무 만족도 및 서비스 질 사이의 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 자료 분석결과 연구 대상자들의 ‘직무 스트레스’는 평균적으로 낮고, ‘직무 만족도’와 ‘서비스 질’은 높은 것으로 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의하였다. 결론: 직무 스트레스가 낮을수록 직무 만족도와 서비스 질이 높아지고, 직무 만족도가 높을수록 서비스 질은 높아졌다. 요양 병원의 핵심 인력인 간호사, 간호조무사들의 직무 스트레스가 높게 나타나고 있어 이들의 직무 만족도를 높여 서비스 질을 향상 시키는 방안을 마련하는 것이 우선으로 필요하며, 요양병원 종사자들의 직무 스트레스를 낮추기 위한 프로그램 운영과 복지 및 근로환경을 개선하는 것이 필요하다. objective: This research aims to examine the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction, and service quality among employees at long-term care hospital and to provide preliminary data for lowering job stress for employees and for raising job satisfaction and service quality. methods: This study is a descriptive correlation research which aims to study the correlation between job stress, job satisfaction, and service quality among long-term care hospital employees and implemented correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis between research subjects’ general characteristics and aforementioned factors. results: Research results show that ‘job stress’ was low in average, while ‘job satisfaction’ and ‘service quality’ showed an overall favorable condition with a high average and statistically significant. Conclusions: Results show the lower the job stress, the higher the job satisfaction and service quality, and the higher the job satisfaction, the higher the service quality. Study shows the necessity for raising work satisfaction among nurses and nurse assitants, the main personnel at long-term care hospital, who displayed relatively high job stress levels. To enhance job satisfaction levels, providing programs for managing job stress and improving work environment ought to be considered.

Stream and lake sediments can become contaminated with heavy metals due to natural occurrences or anthropogenic factors such as waste disposal and steel manufacturing processes. Among these contaminants, lead (Pb) is a neurotoxin that can reach high concentrations, posing negative impacts on aquatic ecosystems and human health. Lead has the capability to form complexes with fine sediments and organic matter, with its binding strength showing a high correlation with pH and organic matter content. In this study, we estimated the contamination levels of Pb in sediment using electrical resistivity measurements and multivariate statistical techniques. Sediments were appropriately collected and analyzed for total content using aqua regia extraction. The electrical resistivity of sediments was measured using a Sample Core Induced Polarization (SCIP) tester. Collected geochemical and geophysical data were subjected to multivariate statistical analysis to interpret causal relationships between different domains of data and derive regression equations. Based on the derived equations, the study performed estimation and verification of Pb contamination levels based on electrical properties.

There is no agreement of opinion that whiplash injury caused by traffic accident result in cerebrovascular diseases and no legal basement.We report an unusual case of 55-years-old woman with cerebral infarction following whiplash injury, and who had no risk factor of cerebrovascular disease.We conclude that decrease of cervical lordotic curve and internal carotid arterial impingement against the lateral mass of the atlas and transverse processes of the spine can result in internal carotid arterial dissection and a embolus made by this mechanism cause ischemic state of the cerebrum.The patient was treated by optimal management-such as chuna, herb medicine, acupuncture, and physical treatment-, and shoud be need long-term observation.
