        Highly efficient and selective extraction of minor bioactive natural products using pure ionic liquids: Application to prenylated flavonoids in licorice

        Lots of minor constituents in herbal medicines have shown great potential to devolve into leadcompounds, and their extraction is attracting more and more attention in pharmaceutical industry. Thisstudy provided an example that showed efficient and selective extraction of minor bioactive naturalproducts (prenylatedflavonoids with anti-cancer activities) from an herbal medicine (licorice) using pureionic liquids as green solvents. After investigation of a variety of hydrophobic ionic liquids withultrasonic-assisted extraction, we found that [C8MIM]BF4 (1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluor-oborate) was the most effective one for extraction offive representative compounds (isoangustone A,glycycoumarin, licoisoflavanone, licoricidin and glabridin), and solvent to solid ratio, extraction time,extraction temperature and soaking time were then optimized through single-factor experiments andresponse surface methodology. As a result, the established method had significantly higher extractionselectivity than conventional organic solvents, which could be attributed to significant physical change oflicorice microstructures after extraction, as well as strong interactions (especially hydrogen bondinteractions) between [C8MIM]BF4 and prenylatedflavonoids by mechanism study. In addition, 78.92% ofthe extracted prenylatedflavonoids could be readily recovered from [C8MIM]BF4 by using reversed-phasesolid phase extraction, and the recyclability of [C8MIM]BF4 was also confirmed.

        Facile preparation and performance of novel high-TC xBi(Ni1/2Ti1/2)O3-(1-x)Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 piezoceramics

        High Curie temperature (TC) xBi(Ni1/2Ti1/2)O3-(1-x)Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 (xBNT-(1-x)PZT, BNT-PZT) piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by the conventional ceramic processing. The composition-induced morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) and its influences on structure and electrical performance were investigated. The synthesized BNT-PZT ceramics exhibit rather pure perovskite structure, and densified microstructure morphology with uniform elementals distribution in both grains and grain boundaries. With increasing the content of Bi(Ni1/2Ti1/2)O3 (BNT), crystal structure of the BNT-PZT ceramics transform from tetragonal phase to rhombohedral phase, and dielectric response peaks change from narrow shape to very broad shape but all presenting dielectric frequency dispersion. The diffused and relaxation dielectric behavior can be fitted well by the quadratic law, and the Vogel-Fulcher law fitting provides additional information on the relaxation characteristic. The MPB effects are confirmed further by ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties measurements. High-TC combined with excellent piezoelectric performance can be realized in the BNT-PZT system, which presents promising applications in geothermal exploration, aerospace and related elevated temperatures fields.

        영유아의 세치제 사용에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Objectives: This study was conducted to suggest the necessity of education about toothpaste usage to infants, preschoolers, and their parents. Also, another purpose is to provide basic data that is necessary for oral health education about accurate cognition and usage of toothpaste. Methods: From October to December 2015, we conducted a survey on parents of 0~4 years old infants and preschoolers about toothpaste usage based on the data of a questionnaire with a total of 505 subjects. The survey questions were composed of general characteristics of infants, preschoolers and their parents, and toothpaste usage. Results: Usage frequency of toothpaste for infants and preschoolers increased with age (p<0.001), and infants and preschoolers in homes with monthly income under 4 million won showed high frequency of toothpaste usage (p<0.001). Toothpaste mouth rinsing of infants and preschoolers increased with age (p<0.001), while on the other hand, toothpaste swallowing decreased (p<0.001). Conclusions: In this study, it was shown that the factors that effect toothpaste usage in infants and preschoolers were age and average monthly income of the family. This suggests the necessity of oral health education to parents about usage of toothpaste in infants and preschoolers.

        A facile and effective method has been developed for the synthesis of a novel series of benzofuran derivatives via N-acylation, O-alkylation and intramolecular condensation reactions, starting from readily available substituted o-hydroxy aryl ketone, and chloroacetyl arylamides. This metal-free transition process is characterized by mild reaction conditions, atom economy, short reaction time and a high yield with a decreased amount of by-products.

      • Atomistic Numerical Simulation on Nanoupsetting Process of Copper Brick

        Nanofabrication techniques such as nanoforging have been used to fabricate nanosize components in recent years. As a basic form of nanoforging process, nanoupsetting was studied in this paper via atomistic simulation. First a simplified computation model for upsetting process of single crystalline copper was created, and then the deformation mechanism was investigated at the atomic scale. The results show that the plastic deformation was initiated by the highlevel strain at the corners of the brick; partial dislocations nucleated at the corners and propagated along the [101] and [011] directions in the ( ? ? 1) plane; after unloading, the defects did not disappear or move out to the surface due to lattice friction; the computed load during nanoupsetting agrees well with the theoretical value. At last, the FEM simulation results for this single crystal were also shown, but no load drop was found in its load-displacement curve, which indicates that atomistic simulation is more elaborate than crystal plasticity FEM for nanoscale forming problems.

        Three-Dimensional Periodic Structured Absorber for Broadband Electromagnetic Radiation Absorption

        This study provides a novel broadband gypsum composite for electromagnetic (EM) radiation protection by the design of 3D circular periodic structure, and using carbon black (CB) as absorbent. The EM absorption performance was investigated by arch reflecting method in 2–18 GHz, and the obtained results indicate that the proposed gypsum absorber exhibits more than 90% absorption of EM radiation in the frequency range of 2–18 GHz. The EM wave absorption can be obviously affected by the variation of CB content, periodic cylinder height and diameter. The optimum CB content is 2 wt%, simultaneously, the absorption peak can be promoted to shift to lower frequency by the increase of periodic cylinder height and the increase of periodic cylinder diameter is beneficial to widen the effective bandwidth. The λ/4 interference of reflected waves, energy dissipation of CB particles, and multi-reflection, resonance, edge diffractions, and impedance matching caused by 3D periodic structural design work synergistically to achieve the high EM absorption efficiency and wide frequency band. It is expected that the proposed 3D circular periodic structured gypsum absorber has great potential in indoor EM radiation prevent.

        The Effects of Employees’ Job Satisfaction on Work Performance in Social Organization: Focusing on Psychological Capital and Organizational Identity as a Mediator

        본 연구는 사회적 조직 구성원들의 직무 만족도가 업무 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 심리적 자본과 조직 정체성을 매개 변수로 이에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 온라인 설문조사로부터 표집된 490건의 설문 자료를 토대로 하여 연구 가설을 검증한 결과 직무 만족도와 업무 성과에 미치는 영향, 심리적 자본과 조직 정체성의 상호 작용 효과를 확인하였다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 직무 만족도, 심리적 자본, 조직 정체성은 사회적 조직 구성원들의 업무 성과에 높은 상관관계를 보여주었다. 둘째, 사회적 조직 구성원들의 직무 만족도 역시 심리적 자본과 조직 정체성의 상관성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 심리적 자본과 조직 정체성은 사회적 조직 구성원들의 직무 만족도와 업무 성과를 매개로 높은 상관 관계성의 결과를 나타내고 있다. 따라서 사회적 조직은 구성원들의 직무 만족도, 심리적 자본과 조직 정체성 수준을 높여 업무 성과를 높이고 사회적 조직의 지속가능한 발전을 촉진하는 데 많은 관심을 가질 필요가 있다. 또한 사회적 조직 관리자는 직무 만족도 평가 시스템을 구축하고, 구성원의 업무열의를 높이기 위한 인센티브 방안을 수립한 후, 구성원의 조직 정체성을 제고할 수 있으며, 구성원의 심리적 자본 향상을 위한 교육을 통해 최종적으로 직원의 업무 성과향상이라는 목적을 달성할 수 있다. 정책 입안자들은 사회적 조직의 지속가능성을 위한 관련 법규와 모니터링 시스템을 강화하며, 조직의 인재 양성을 위한 정책적 지원을 구성원들에게 제공함으로써 지속가능한 발전의 토대를 마련해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 사회적 조직 구성원의 업무 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 연구함으로써 사회적 조직의 관리 체계를 정비하고 지속가능한 발전을 위한 연구 모형의 틀을 제공한다는데 의의가 있다. 다만 본 연구는 일부 지역의 사회적 조직에 대한 연구를 진행하였기 때문에 직무 만족도와 업무 성과 간의 연구에 일정 수준의 연구 모형의 기준을 제공할 수 있다. 따라서 이에 관한 연구에 있어 보다 더 많은 지역과 다양한 사회적 조직의 특성을 고려한 후속 연구가 필요하다. This study aimed to analyze the impact of social organization employees job satisfaction on their work performance, and used psychological capital and organizational identity as mediating variable. An online survey was conducted and 490 valid questionnaires were collected. SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0 was used to perform statistics on the obtained data, as well as the results of statistical analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and bootstrap intermediary analysis. Analysis result: First, job satisfaction, psychological capital, and organizational identity have a significant positive impact on the work performance of social organization employees. Second, job satisfaction of social organization employees has a significant positive impact on their psychological capital and organizational identity. Third, psychological capital and organizational identity play a part of the mediating role between social organization employees job satisfaction and work performance. Therefore, social organization managers should pay attention to improving employees job satisfaction, psychological capital and organizational identity, so as to improve their work performance and promote the sustainable development of social organizations. Social organization managers can establish a system to evaluate job satisfaction, formulate incentive measures to improve employees work enthusiasm, and then enhance employees organizational identity; through training to improve employees psychological capital, and finally achieve the purpose of enhancing employees work performance. Policy makers can formulate special laws for the development of social organizations and strengthen the supervision and management of social organizations, provide policy support for the follow-up talent training of social organizations to promote the healthy and sustainable development of social organizations. Innovation: This study introduced the analysis framework of job satisfaction and work performance of employees in ordinary enterprises into the research of employees in social organizations. By studying the factors affecting employees work performance, it can help social organizations improve their management system and promote their sustainable development. Limitations: This paper only studied social organizations in The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region of China, which provided some reference value for the study of the relationship between job satisfaction and work performance of social organizations in China, but the research area was relatively small. We need to expand our research further if we want to get more valuable research results.

        A Novel Set-valued Observer Based State Estimation Algorithm for Nonlinear Systems

        This study considers the state estimation problem for nonlinear models with unknown but bounded noises. A zonotopic set-valued observer based state estimation algorithm is proposed, and the unknown noise term is wrapped in a zonotope during each recursive step. The second-order polynomial Stirling interpolation improves the linearization accuracy and reduces the calculation amount. The method that combines sequence updating and tightening strips reduces the accumulation of errors and improves the estimation accuracy. Finally, the simulations on the Van der Pol nonlinear model and spring-mass-damper nonlinear model can visually illustrate the feasible parameter set variation process and motion trail of the zonotope, which demonstrates the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed algorithm.
