In this paper, we propose a method for generating the center-of-mass (CoM) pattern for biped robots. One of the most common methods for CoM pattern generation is to approximate the robot’s complex dynamics as alinear inverted pendulum model, applies preview controls, and generates CoM trajectories. However, the vertical motion of CoM is neglected during this approximation process. In this study, we formulate the preview control problem considering the dynamics of the CoM vertical motion and propose an algorithm to solve it. The results of numerical experiments to evaluate the proposed algorithm show it is more stable than the existing algorithm and can be sufficiently fast for online operation.
QFD(Quality Function Deployment)와 인공지능 기법을 이용한 사출금형의 견적지원시스템

금형산업은 ETO(engineer to order)방식의 산업으로서 각 주문마다 견적가를 책정하는 것이 손익에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 현재, 대부분의 금형업체에서는 금형주문에 대한 견적을 금형전문가의 개별적인 지식에 의존하고 있는데, 이러한 방식은 주관적이며, 체계적이지 못한 문제점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 보다 합리적이고 체계적인 기준에 의한 견적가 결정 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 고객의 요구사항을 QFD(Quality Function Deployment)를 사용함으로써 금형제작에 있어서 원가에 영향을 미치는 요소를 추출하게 된다. 이렇게 얻어진 금형제작정보와 고객의 주문정보를 바탕으로 인공신경망, 사례기반추론 등의 인공지능 기법을 사용하여, 사출금형의 견적가를 책정하는 사출금형의 견적지원시스템을 개발하고자 한다.
Krav Maga Program to Combat Indiscriminate Violence

Purpose: This study delves into the significance of Krav Maga training for enhancing self-defense abilities against indiscriminate violence, a societal issue impacting personal safety, and emphasizes its practicality in combination with the Israeli military combat system as a fundamental approach to applying martial arts for self-defense. The study seeks to reevaluate Krav Maga's pivotal role in bolstering self-defense against indiscriminate violence and to identify prospects for its future development. Method: The research method and data collection method to achieve the purpose of this study used electronic literature platform search. Validity as data was verified through triangulation. Results: Krav Maga is a practical and effective self-defense system that originated in Israel, initially developed for military use but later adapted for civilian self-defense. Martial arts for security, military martial arts, and police martial arts programs are presented as a vitalization plan. Conclusion: The revitalization plan for the Krav Maga program against indiscriminate violence can emphasize the importance of a tailored curriculum, certified instructors, scenario-based training, ethical considerations, periodic assessments and interdisciplinary collaborations, and empowers participants self-defense, bodyguards, soldiers and police. Training can be instilled with the aim of ensuring the ability to manage problems effectively in a variety of situations by equipping them with practical self-defense skills, legal awareness and enhanced situational preparedness.
Cubit : 직관적 사용행태를 반영한 게임 컨트롤러 개발

이 과제는 2015 년 삼성디자인멤버십과 삼성소프트웨어멤버십의 협업 프로그램인 MCP(Membership Convergence Project)에서 진행한 프로젝트이다. 3 차원 공간의 x, y, z 의 축을 모두 가지고 있는 가장 기본적 형태인 큐브를 모티브로 가지고, 3D to 3D, ‘3D 인터페이스 게임을 3D 디바이스로 다루다’라는 컨셉으로 3D 게임 컨트롤러와 플랫폼 ‘Cubit’을 제작했다. Cubit 은 3D 공간을 가장 직관적으로 조작하는 컨트롤러입니다. 현실의 움직임을 반영한 조작 방법으로 보다 실감나게 3D 컨텐츠를 즐길 수 있다. 사람들이 디바이스를 다루는 실제 행동에 대해 집중하여 단순한 키의 조합이 아닌 우리에게 가장 익숙하고 자연스러운 ‘동작’을 사용하는 컨트롤러이다. 이렇게 디자인된 Cubit 은 3D 인터랙션, 새로운 감각, 다양한 컨텐츠를 사용자에게 제공하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 또한, 큐브 컨트롤러만의 독자적인 방식의 인터랙션에 대한 고찰이 필요했다. 실험을 통해 사용자들이 큐브로 대표적인 게임 테스크를 수행 시에 어떤 행동 패턴을 보이는 지 알아보았다. 실험을 토대로 도출 한 동작을 바탕으로 Cubit 컨트롤러만의 독자적인 인터랙션을 발굴하였다. This project is one of the works from MCP(Membership Convergence Project) a cooperative group exhibition of Samsung Design Membership and Samsung Software Membership. We created ‘cubit’, new game platform and new controller, with the concept of ‘controlling 3D-interface-game with 3Dinteraction-device’. Cube, the motive of cubit’s shape, is the basic form of threespace’s representation, which has x, y, z axis. Cubit is the most intuitive controller which can control three-dimensional space. You can enjoy 3D contents more realistically with the way of controlling ‘cubit’. We focused on how people actually ‘handle" devices not ‘control’, so that we tried to make the most natural and familiar controller which inputs not a combination of keyboard keys but "the human motion’. We are trying to convey new 3D interaction and senses, and to give diverse contents for users with ‘Cubit’. Therefore, we need some consideration for developing the originality of its interaction. We observed user"s behavior pattern when they play games through some experiments. Consequently we invented ‘cubit’ controller’s unique interaction.

This study investigates the effect of vertical movements of the pelvis on the joint of a biped robot. We evaluate experimentally two cases of walking on flat terrains and avoiding a toll bar obstacle. The experimental results show that the torque and velocity of the knee joint vary with the vertical movement of the pelvis. The knee joint velocity can be reduced when walking with the vertical movement compared to that when walking without the vertical movement of the pelvis. Based on the experimental results, the vertical movement of the pelvis can increase the stride lengths or relax the knee-actuator performance requirements. In addition, the trajectories of the center of mass (CoM) generated to avoid a toll bar obstacle using the preview control that includes the vertical motion of the CoM are compared to those using the preview control that neglects the vertical motion of the CoM. The results show that the trajectory generated by including the vertical motion of the CoM can reduce energy consumption and walk more stable.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Thin films of gallium oxide (Ga<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>) are prepared by using a new gallium precursor, dimethylgallium isopropoxide (DMGIP), employing both atomic layer deposition (ALD) and metal‐organic (MO)CVD. The gallium precursor DMGIP, a gallium analogue of dimethylaluminum isopropoxide (DMAIP) that has been successfully used for MOCVD and ALD of aluminum oxide, is likewise a non‐pyrophoric liquid at room temperature with a reasonably high vapor pressure. Using water as the oxygen source, DMGIP shows an ALD temperature window in the range 280–300 °C with a growth rate of ∼0.3 Å per cycle. On the other hand, using oxygen as the reactant gas in the MOCVD of Ga<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, films are grown in the temperature range 450–625°C with the apparent activation energy of 225.5 kJ mol<SUP>−1</SUP>. This study shows that DMGIP can be utilized as a new source for the preparation of Ga<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> thin films.</P>
