Objective : This paper was written to develop clinically useful education system of 'Yang-Seng Gi-Gong' based on the principles of Korean medicine by analyzing the lecture evaluation through the questionnaire Methods : We surveyed 55 students who took 'Yang-Seng Gi-Gong' lectures at Wonkwang University School of Korean Medicine in 2016. Results : 1. The degree of reflection of the learning goal was 7.0 ± 2.1 and the overall interest was high in the regression analysis of the learning goal reflectivity. The satisfaction of the practical lecture was higher than the theoretical lecture. 2. In the evaluation of difficulty level, it was evaluated that the practical training was effective and the practice of standing position was the most difficult. 3. Due to the nature of the lectures, the difference between men and women was found in several items but it was not effective. 4. Generally, we appropriately assessed the preparation and progress of the class and practice. 67% of the respondents evaluated the current class as appropriate. 5. In the survey on participation in class, there was a high degree of participation in the practical lecture and a high correlation between overall participation and participation in the practical lecture. Conclusions: It is necessary to look for ways to concentrate with interest in the lecture, focusing on the practice, and to encourage the participation of women in the practice.

      • Molecular group system as one energy unit

        Na, Han Gil,Choi, Myung Sik,Bang, Jae Hoon,Oum, Wansik,Choi, Sun-Woo,Shim, Gyu Sam,Cho, Jae Hee,Kim, Hyoun Woo,Jin, Changhyun Elsevier 2019 CERAMICS INTERNATIONAL Vol.45 No.8

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In view of the various qualifications required of materials nowadays, efforts to change the characteristics of inherent materials have continued. However, most material conversion techniques that have been used in the past, such as alloy design and doping effect, cannot overcome the limitation that properties are only added to the original characteristics of pristine materials. Therefore, herein, we introduced a new material design technique, a so-called “Molecular Group System”, which is completely different from existing methods. Since whole-set-systems are considered one-energetic-unit-system, either only the merits of the constituent elements can be emphasized or new materials completely different from the raw ones can be synthesized. In this study, block-stacking bottom-up approach was employed to form a one group system from SnO2, SnOx, Sn, and graphene powders, and a binder, using high-energy irradiation. Then, we discussed theoretical verifications such as SnO2-reduction and Sn-channeling.</P>

Reports : Mouse neutrophils express functional umami taste receptor T1R1/T1R3

( Na Hye Lee ),( Young Su Jung ),( Ha Young Lee ),( Nana Kang ),( Yoo Jung Park ),( Jae Sam Hwang ),( Young Yil Bahk ),( Jae Hyung Koo ),( Yoe Sik Bae ) 생화학분자생물학회 2014 BMB Reports Vol.47 No.11

Neutrophils play an important role in the initiation of innate immunity against infection and injury. Although many different types of G-protein coupled receptors are functionally expressed in neutrophils, no reports have demonstrated functional expression of umami taste receptor in these cells. We observed that mouse neutrophils express the umami taste receptor T1R1/T1R3 through RNA sequencing and quantitative RT-PCR analysis. Stimulation of mouse neutrophils with L-alanine or L-serine, which are ligands for the umami taste receptor, elicited not only ERK or p38 MAPK phosphorylation but also chemotactic migration. Moreover, addition of L-alanine or L-serine markedly reduced the production of several cytokines including TNF-α induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) through inhibition of NF-κB activity or STAT3 phosphorylation in neutrophils. Our findings demonstrate that neutrophils express the umami taste receptor, through which tastants stimulate neutrophils, resulting in chemotactic migration, and attenuation of LPS-induced inflammatory response. Nationwide Multicenter Study for Overlaps of Common Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders in Korean Patients With Constipation

( Kyung Sik Park ),( Sam Ryong Jee ),( Bong Eun Lee ),( Kyoung Sup Hong ),( Jeong Eun Shin ),( Soo-Young Na ),( Joong Goo Kwon ),( Suck Chei Choi ),( Yong Sung Kim ),( Hyun Seok Lee ),( Tae Hee Lee ) 대한소화기기능성질환·운동학회 2017 Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (JNM Vol.23 No.4

Background/Aims In spite of increased concerns about the overlaps among the various functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs), studies for the overlap between constipation and other common FGIDs are rare. Therefore, we investigated the patterns of overlaps between constipation and other common FGIDs. Methods This study was designed as a prospective nationwide multi-center questionnaire study using Rome III questionnaires for functional dyspepsia (FD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and functional constipation (FC), as well as various questionnaires about patients’ information, degree of symptoms, and quality of life. For the evaluation of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), GERD-Q was used. Results From 19 centers, 759 patients with constipation were enrolled. The proportions of FC and IBS subtypes of constipation (IBS-C) were 59.4% and 40.6%, respectively. Among them, 492 (64.8%) showed no overlap. One hundred and thirty-six patients (17.9%) presented overlapping GERD, and 80 patients (10.5%) presented overlapping FD. Fifty one (6.7%) of patients were overlapped by both GERD and FD. Coincidental herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) (P = 0.026) or pulmonary diseases (P = 0.034), reduced fiber intake (P = 0.013), and laxative use (P < 0.001) independently affected the rate of overlaps. These overlapping conditions negatively affected the constipation-associated quality of life, general quality of life, and degree of constipation. Conclusions The overlap of GERD or FD was common in patients with constipation. Coincidental HNP or pulmonary diseases, reduced fiber intake, and laxatives use were found to be independent associated factors for overlapping common FGIDs in Korean patients with constipation. Effects of LMX and Perceived Ethics with Leader on Job Burnout

        Young-Sam Oh,Beet-Na Choi,An-Sik Kim 한국유통과학회 2016 유통과학연구 Vol.14 No.8

Purpose - This study has its purpose to identify the correlation between factors and moderating variables that can reduce job burnout by setting a positive relationship with a leader and ethicality of the leader as factors reducing job burnout and helping behavior as a moderating variable. Research design, data, and methodology - The research design would make theoretical perceived ethical leadership and LMX toward helping assistance, and job burnout using by structural equation method. Results - As a result, both positive behaviors and recognition on ethical leadership of a leader have been confirmed to influence on mitigation of job burnout. Especially, among the two factors, ethicality has shown to be more efficient to alleviate exhaust compared with positive behavior of a leader. Conclusions - Theoretical perceived ethical leadership and LMX toward a leader, helping assistance, and job burnout are statistically significant, however, the helping behavior of members is the factor increasing a job burnout. These results can be interpreted as the difficulties of relation setting with the members for the leader, and although loyalty and responsibility toward right leader may induce helping behavior, and positive behavior for organization can impact on the job burnout. It can be concluded that the ethicality of a leader is an essential factor for the development of organization.
