Jo, Myoung-Soo,Lim, Young-Bin,Shin, Hea-Kyeong,Choe, Joon,Seul, Jung-Hyun,Jang, Tae-Jung Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surge 2012 Archives of Plastic Surgery Vol.39 No.1
Sweet's syndrome is characterized by clinical symptoms, physical features, and pathologic findings which include fever, neutrophilia, tender erythematous skin lesions, and a diffuse infiltrate of mature neutrophils. This is a report of our experience of Sweet's syndrome with parotitis. A 57-year-old man initially presented with tender swelling on the right cheek similar to parotitis. His symptoms relapsed despite the use of an oral antibiotic agent for 3 weeks. He additionally presented with erythematous papules and plaques on the periocular area and dorsum of both hands. Histiopathologic findings on punch biopsy of the right dorsum of the hand showed superficial perivenular histiocytic infiltration without vasculitis. We confirmed this as histiocytoid Sweet's syndrome and used systemic corticosteroid. After initiation of treatment with systemic corticosteroids, there was a prompt recovery from both the dermatosis-releated symptoms and skin lesions. Sweet's syndrome should be considered in patients with therapy-refractory parotitis and unclear infiltrated nodules. We present a confusing case who initially appeared to have parotitis but turned out to have histiocytoid Sweet's syndrome.

Although polishing process take 30∼50% of whole process of manufacturing die and mold, it has not been fully automat-ed yet. Considering current trend of manufacturing, it is necessary to study on polishing automation. To accomplish automation, reliable database must be developed. For developing it, polishing mechanism should be defined and a general empirical formula that can be applied widely should be created. In this paper, it is found that polishing process must be separated into 2 process such as removing cusp and getting fine surface process and the polishing parameter which is com-posed of major machining parameters and normalization of data can be applied efficiently in making reliable database.

Plasma pretreatment on the top and bond coats was performed and its influence on the thermal durability of thermal barrier coating (TBC) system was investigated through cyclic thermal exposure. Two types of bond coat were prepared by different methods, namely, air plasma spray (APS) and high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF), and two kinds of feedstock powder were employed for preparing the top coat in APS process. The better thermal durability was achieved in the vertically cracked TBC with the surface modified bond coat or with the bond coat prepared by APS process. The hardness and fracture toughness values of TBCs increased because of densification of the top coat during cyclic thermal exposure, and the bond coat prepared by HVOF process showed higher values than that by APS process. The TBCs with the surface modified bond coat were more efficient in improving adhesive strength than those without plasma pretreatment on the bond coat. The relationship between microstructure evolution and thermomechanical characteristics of TBCs with plasma pretreatment was discussed in cyclic thermal exposure.

The Selective Emitter Doping of P-Type Solar Cells Using Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet
Yun, Myoung Soo,Jo, Tae Hun,Hwang, Sang-Hyuk,Kim, In Tae,Choi, Eun Ha,Cho, Guangsup,Kwon, Gi-Chung American Scientific Publishers 2016 Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Vol.16 No.10

Currently, doping process to fabricate solar cells uses both furnace and laser. However, furnace doping has some problems, such as handing problems due to expensive equipment purchase, use of toxic gas, and difficulty in the selective emitter doping of wafer. By contrast, laser doping is easier for selective emitter doping, but it requires expensive laser equipment and causes severe damage to the wafer. In the current work, a study on selective doping was carried out by developing a low-cost atmospheric pressure plasma jet in order to compensate the existing doping problems. The developed atmospheric plasma jet uses Argon (Ar) gas as a process gas. For power, a plasma generating source was manufactured by applying a low frequency (similar to 20 kHz). A shallow-doped (120 ohm/square) p-type wafer was used. The doping profile was analyzed by Secondary Ion Mass Spectroscopy (SIMS) measurement. The depth and, concentration of the doping could be controlled by controlling the plasma current and plasma processing time. With this new doping method, a solar cell with a conversion efficiency of 9.41% was produced.

A Study on the deep hole machining by BTA drill
Among drilling operation, the most difficult machining method is deep hole drilling. And deep hole drilling is difficult by using conventional drilling operation because it has problems such as chip removal, cooling and lubrication for the cutting tip and vibration problem and strength requirement of the tool. To solve these problems, the most adequate drilling method is to use tool which can supply high pressure cutting fluid. And the typical method for this application is the BTA drill. This study is related to the fuel oil supply pipe for the large ship and machining of it.
한국 동해산 노래미 (Hexagrammos agrammus) 의 장원생태학적 특성치 추정
손명호,장창익,오용대,조수근 한국수산자원학회 1999 한국수산자원학회지 Vol.2 No.1
This study is to estimate population ecological parameters including growth parameters, spawing season, survival rates, and instantaneous coefficients of natural and fishing mortalities of Hexagrammus agrammus in the East Sea. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters estimated from a non-linear regression method were L∞=282.9cm, K=0.1849 and t0=-1.2351. Annual survival rate (S) was estimated to be 0.4561 and the instantaneous coefficient of natural mortality (M) was estimated to be 0.5320/year. Instantaneous coefficients of fishing mortality(F) was calculated as 0.2531/year, implying an impact from fishing about two times less than that of natural mortality.

We fabricated quantum wire metal-oxide-semiconductor eld-eect transistors (MOSFET) by using conventional photolithography with a 1.5-m resolution. We obtained a 30-nm-width quantum wire with the help of anisotropic wet etching and reactive ion etching (RIE) on a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate. This narrow dimension of the wire and the gate bias between silicon and silicon dioxide make electrons move along the wire due to one-dimensional quantum connement eects. Quasi-step-like conductance versus gate voltage, which is typical evidence of one-dimensional motion, has been observed, even at temperatures below 173 K. The photo-responsivity of the quantum MOSFET was larger than 1 102 A/W at a wavelength of 633 nm.
