동절기 근권부 온도가 비모란 생장 및 품질에 미치는 영향

접목선인장의 동계재배를 위하여 근권의 온도를 15, 20, 25, 30, 35℃로 조절한 처리구와 조절하지 않은 대조구를 두어 비모란 Sun, Pink품종을 재배하였다. 처리 6개월 후 구경, 생체중, 건물중에 있어서 Sun품종은 25℃, Pink품종은 20℃에서 가장 좋았다. 특히 비모란의 구경과 구중은 15℃ 처리와 온도처리를 하지 않은 대조구에서 낮은 경향을 보여 근권부 저온이 생육에 저해요인으로 작용하는 것으로 보였다. 대목으로 이용한 삼각주의 뿌리 생육은 25℃ 처리에서 생체중과 건물중이 높았고 15℃에서는 아주 불량하였으며, 뿌리의 활력은 20℃에서 높았다. 구색에 있어서는 Sun품종은 유의성이 인정되지 않았으며 Pink품종은 온도가 높을수록 황색화 되었다. 적색의 betacyanins 색소 함량은 온도가 높아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 상품의 생산율은 Sun품종은 25℃, Pink 품종은 20℃에서 높았으며 그 이상과 이하에서는 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 정식초기에는 25℃로 관리하여 발근을 촉진시킨 후 출하기까지 20℃로 관리하면 생육을 촉진시킬 수 있으며 겨울철에도 정상적인 생산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. Abstract. In order to observe the possibility of winter season production of G. mihanovichii cvs., Sun and Pink were cultivated under temperatures of 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35℃, and under conventional cultivation method for comparison. Increasement of the diameter, fresh and dry weight of globes was best at 25℃ in cv. Sun, and at 20℃ in cv. Pink. Especially, globe diameter and fresh weight were bad at 15℃ and in conventional cultivation method. From the results it was determined that low temperature around root-zone greatly affect the growth of globes. Root fresh and dry weight of Heoylocereus trigonus used for stock plants showed good at 25℃ and bad at 15℃, but its activity was highest at 20℃. Color did not show any statistical significance in various temperature, but 'Pink' showed tendency of turning yellow by increasing the temperature. Quality and productivity was good at 20℃ and 25℃, and was bad at below those temperature. From the results it was concluded that if G. mihanovichii were cultivated for rooting at 25℃ in early planting period and were maintained to activating growth at 20℃ until marketing time, regular production of G. mihanovichii in winter season would be possible.

Pesticides were extracted from samples with 70% acetone and methylene chloride in order, and then cleaned up via open-column chromatography apparatus packed with florisil, and finally analyzed simultaneously the organochlorine and pyrethroid pesticides using GC(ECD). An ultra-2 fused silica capillary column was used to separate and identify the products. The resolution between the last isomeric peak of cypermethrin(59.987min) and the first isomeric peak of flucythrinate(60.043min) was not satisfactory. The last isomeric peak of fenvalerate(62.344min) and the first isomeric peak of fluvalinate(62.397min) were overlapped. Recoveries of soybean sample for the most pesticides were 73.3% to 102.4%. Detection limits were between 0.004 and 0.063 ㎍/㎎ when this method was used.

Two methods, the bin averaging method and least square method, are often used in calibrating wind turbine test sites. The objective of this work was to determine a better method to predict the wind speed at wind turbine installing point. The calibration was done at the test site on a complex terrain located in Daegwallyeong, Korea. It was performed for two different cases based on the IEC 61400-12 power performance measurement standard. The wind speeds averaged for 10 minutes ranged between 4 m/s and 16 m/s. The wind-direction bins of each meteorological mast were 10 degrees apart, and only the bins having data measured for more than 24 hours were employed for the test site calibration. For both cases, the two methods were found to yield almost same results which estimated real wind speed very closely.

BRI1-Associated kinase1 (BAK1), a five leucine-rich-repeat containing receptor-like serine/threonine kinase, has been shown to have dual functions: mediating brassinosteroid (BR) signaling and acting in the BR-independent plant defense response. Sequence analysis has revealed that BAK1 has two homologs, BAK7 and BAK8. Because BAK8 deviates from the canonical RD kinase motif, we focused on the functional analysis of BAK7. The expression pattern and tissues in which BAK7 appeared partially overlapped with those observed for BAK1. Expression levels of BAK7 increased in the bak1 mutant. Overexpression of BAK7 rescued the bri1 mutant phenotype, indicating that BAK7 can compensate for BAK1 in BR-mediated processes, especially in the absence of BAK1. However, root and hypocotyl elongation patterns of transgenic plants overexpressing BAK1 or BAK7 appeared to be different from the patterns observed in a BRI1 overexpressor. Furthermore, the sensitivity of transgenic plants overexpressing BAK7 to brassinazole, a biosynthetic inhibitor of brassinolide (BL), did not change compared to that of wild-type plants. In addition, we generated transgenic plants expressing BAK7 RNA interference constructs and found severe growth retardation and early senescence in these lines. Taken together, these results suggest that BAK7 is a component of the BR signaling pathway, with varying degrees of genetic redundancy with BAK1, and that it affects plant growth via BL-independent pathways in vivo.
A New Orange Graft Cactus (Gymnocalycium schickendantzii × G. mihanovichii) Cultivar, “Geoseong”

A new graft cactus (Gymnocalycium schickendantzii × G. mihanovichii) cultivar “Geoseong” was developed from a interspecific crossing between a green G. schickendantzii and G. mihanovichii line “950222” by in vitro grafting and line selection at National Horticultural Research Institute, Rural Development Administration in 1999. The trials for investigation of characteristics were carried out three times from 2001 to 2003. The color of body and tubercles was light orange. Flat round globe had 8 to 10 ribs with deep depth and uneven edge. Spine was medium straight with brown color. Growth was vigorous as reach 59.8 mm in diameter in ten month after planting. Propagation ability was bad as set 4.7 tubercles. Characteristics of the cultivar could be maintained by vegetative propagation, and growers should pay attention to protection from strong sun light and virus infection. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection and was released to commercial growers in 2004
