Oxygen nanobubbles for the delivery of mycophenolic acid to modulate a immunosuppression
( Muhammad Saad Khan ),황장선,우현정,최종훈 한국공업화학회 2020 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2020 No.-
Immunosuppressive drugs are crucial for preventing acute graft rejection or autoimmune diseases. They are generally small molecules that require suitable drug carriers for ensuring stability, bioavailability, and longer half-life. Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is an extensively studied immunosuppressive drug. However, it requires suitable carriers for overcoming clinical limitations. Currently, lipid-shelled micro- and nanobubbles are being thoroughly investigated for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, as they possess essential properties, such as injectability, smaller size, gaseous core, high surface area, higher drug payload, and enhanced cellular penetration. Phospholipids are biocompatible and biodegradable molecules, and can be functionalized according to specific requirements. This method can be potentially used for implantation and for treating autoimmune diseases, wherein immunosuppression is desired.
An Improved Algorithm for AC Impedance Extraction
Muhammad Saad,Yongfeng Ju,Shahbaz Khan,Husan Ali,Abdul Wadood,Sang Bong Rhee 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.6
The overall system stability of interconnected electrical and electronic systems is associated with the input and output impedances of each individual system, therefore, accurate AC impedance measurement for a linear and nonlinear systems are imperative. These impedances are normally measured using small-signal frequency injection techniques. However, the harmonic transfers from the output side to the input side and vice versa deteriorates the measured results, making them ambiguous. These harmonic transfers cause the problems of frequency aliasing as well as spectral leakages leading to inaccurate measurements of results. In order to achieve the precise and accurate results, there is a need to adopt such an impedance measuring technique which is the best among the available techniques. A new algorithm is proposed to modify the range of frequencies of interest and inject such small-signal frequencies which do not interfere with the system harmonics. The measurement of the AC impedance of the three-phase RL circuit utilizing three diff erent small-signal injection techniques is performed. From the results displayed, it is clear that all the techniques perform well, therefore, the most simple, single phase line-current injection was selected for the AC impedance measurement of the nonlinear switching circuit such as sixpulse rectifi er. The issues discussed above are more serious in nonlinear switching circuit because of the presence of higher order switching harmonics in the circuit. The proposed algorithm is applied to measure the output-impedance of the threephase AC power supply as well as the AC input-impedance of the six-pulse rectifi er. These results of the switch vs average model and that of average model vs. experimental prototype are displayed for comparison, and it is clear that the proposed algorithm off ers much-improved results.
Applying Clustering Approach to Mobile Content-Centric Networking (CCN) Environment
( Muhammad Saad ),( Seungoh Choi ),( Byeong-hee Roh ) 한국정보처리학회 2013 한국정보처리학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.20 No.1
Considering the recent few years, the usage of mobile content has increased rapidly. This brings out the need for the new internet paradigm. Content-Centric Networking (CCN) caters this need as the future internet paradigm. However, so far, the issue of mobility in the network using CCN has not been considered very efficiently. In this paper, we propose clustering in the network. We apply clustered approach to CCN for catering the mobility of client node in the network. Through this approach we achieve better convergence time and control overhead in contrast to the basic CCN.
Analyzing Traceability Optimization for Enhancing Product Safety in Supply Chain
Muhammad Saad Memon,Young Hae Lee(이영해),Sonia Irshad Mari 대한산업공학회 2013 대한산업공학회 춘계학술대회논문집 Vol.2013 No.5
Recent severe product recalls stimulate the manufacturers to limit risk associated with products in order to save consumer health and increase the consumer trust. Therefore implementing efficient safety management system from raw material purchasing to delivery of final product to its customer is major concern of all industries. Effectual traceability system is now major concern of all supply chain partners. Effective design of traceability system may turn out to be significant tool for managing product safety issue in batch production system. Traceability associated literature only focus on technological perspective, however traceability and its implications on product safety is rarely available in literature. The aim of this paper is to analyse the traceability phenomena for enhancing product safety by reducing the batch dispersion.

A Grey System Theory Based Approach for Supplier Evaluation and Selection
Muhammad Saad Memon,Young Hae Lee(이영해),Sonia Irshad Mari 한국경영과학회 2014 한국경영과학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2014 No.5
It is extremely difficult to successfully maintain the performance of manufacturing firm without considering a suitable set of suppliers. The effective estimation of supplier’s capabilities are real arduous tasks for managers. The objective of this paper is to develop framework for reducing the risks associated with suppliers. Supplier selection decision consist of stochastic and recognitive uncertainties and to deal with these uncertainties we use grey systems theory based approach. We first identified the important criteria which affect the supplier selection decision and then proposed a grey goal programming based approach to select suitable set of suppliers and optimal order allocation to each selected supplier.
