        This study analyzes the trend of the awareness of usefulness and usage frequency of Internet shopping and closely examines the influential factors of the trend. In addition, in this study the usage rate of Internet shopping are divided into that of search and purchase, so that the relationships of variables are easily derived through a process matrix. After all, the purpose of this methodology was to provide informatized housewives and household with fundamental data by finding a way to increase the awareness of usefulness and usage frequency of Internet shopping. The major findings are follows: (1) Those who are college-educated, married and employed, positive about information household, Internet-educated, highly capable of the Internet, and comfortable with an issue of an effluence of personal data showed high awareness of usefulness of Internet shopping. (2) Those who are young, college graduate or above, and employed showed the high usage rate of search. Those who are age 20 to 30, college graduate or above, employed, and at the early stage of family life style showed the high usage rate of purchase. In addition, those who are positive about information household, high in the tendency of innovation and the awareness of time constraints, exposed to the Internet education, high in the Internet capability, and low in a burden of the Internet bills and the effulence of personal data showed the high usage rate of search and purchase. (3) An awareness of time constraints and a concern for the effulence of personal data directly influence the usage rate of purchase and indirectly influence the usage awareness of internet shopping. And an attitude toward information household' and Internet capability directly influence the usage rate of search and purchase and indirectly influence the usage awareness of internet shopping. Therefore, according to the result of process matrix, an awareness of usefulness of Internet shopping, an attitude of information household, Internet capability are the variables that influence the usage rate of Internet shopping.

      • 청소년의 인터넷 활용이 자아정체감에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of the present research was to provide basic materials for groping for the methods that promote adolescents' self-identity through the utilization of the internet. After scrutinizing the actual conditions of adolescents' use of the internet, this study examined the effect of adolescents' family environment, friendships, and use of the internet on their self-identity. Specifically, the present research sought to explore the utilization of the internet by sociodemographic and family environment variables, the effect of background variables on the psychological variable, as well as the relative effects of background variables and the internet-related variables on the psychological variable. The major findings of the study were as follows: The effect of the various variables on adolescents' self-identity showed that the higher the levels of school record, communication with fathers, communication with mothers, intimacy of friendships, and the use of the internet, and the lower the degree of the internet addiction, the higher the level of self-identity. The findings of this research indicate that the level of internet utilization and its addiction among family environment-related variables exerted significant influence on self-identity. This implies that the proper use and guidance of the internet is crucial to adolescents' self- identity, and the use of the internet needs to be guided by families, schools, and communities.

        청소년을 위한 교육 프로그램 개발·실시 및 평가에 관한 연구

        The main goal of this program is to build a healthy adolescent culture by broadening the understanding of adolescents and recognition of the environment as well through the development of educational programs centering on the domains of peer relationships, intimacy in dating relationships and sex, leisure activities, and consumption life of adolescents. The program was carried out to 10 young boys and girls for two days/one night and the major findings of the effects of the program through a qualitative evaluation were as follows: First, the program provided adolescents with a proper opportunity to promote a sense of self-confidence through the self-reevaluation process. Secondly, the program provided adolescents with a chance to firmly recognize to become good friends with others though the enhancement of self-esteem, which helped them to build a healthy peer relationship. Thirdly, adolescents were able to promote their views on sex and sexual decision-making by acquiring a proper knowledge of intimacy in dating relationships and of sex, and by candidly expressing their own opinions on sex with instructors. Fourthly, the program provided adolescents with an opportunity to look back on their leisure life with family members which had been neglected thus far and to renew their recognition of active leisure activities. Fifthly, the program provided adolescents with a chance to reflect on their unplanned consumption life and to be firmly determined to refrain from impulsive purchasing and extravagance.

      • 청소년 자녀와 어머니의 갈등과 해결방식에 관한 연구

        This examines the overall traditional cultural aspect of the parent-child conflict, reciprocal action involved and copying of the conflict to understand how the parent and child each perceives these actions in an analytical perspective. The subject of this study was eight pairs of first or second year high school students and their mothers. At least three interviews were conducted on each student and mother pair using the qualitative study method. The results of this research can be summarized as follows. First, the different types of conflicts between mothers and their adolescent children can be classified as conflicts in academic achievement, territory of personal life, discrimination based on gender, and relationships with friends. Second, most adolescent children used avoidance to cope with conflict situations with their mothers. Others made deals to get what they wanted, or resolved conflicts through dialog, letters, and e-mail. Third, when faced dith a conflict with their adolescent children, most mothers used persuasion as or made the children to give up something in return for letting them have something they want. In other cases the father intervened. Though few in numbers, some mothers used letters or e-mail to resolve conflicts.

        청소년자녀와 어머니를 위한 세대간 이해증진 프로그램 개발 및 실시

        The relationship between adolescent children and parents has a profound effect on not only the adolescents development into healthy adults but also the psychological welfare of the parent. A program focused to improve adolescents relationship with parents has not been developed until now. To achieve the educational goals enhancing mutual understanding, it is more effective to educate both the parents and adolescent childern. Thus, this study developed and carried out a program in which adolescent children and mothers, being fully in charge of raising children, participated. The study analyzed the program effects after implementing on 6 pairs of adolescent children and mothers. The results are as follows: 1) adolescent children and mothers placed high values on the fact that they can understand each other well, 2) both parties accepted each other by recognizing the inevitability of the generation gap, and 3) the program gave them a chance to admit that they should try to communicate openly. Most of all, adolescent children could find self-confidence while mothers could collect valuable data essential to raise children and build a new mother's role model adapting to social changes.

      • Gender and the Welfare State: The British Feminist Critiques

        The important argument explored in this article is women's position in welfare regimes. By examining feminist critiques on the welfare state, we intend to look into whether the welfare state is designed to promote the equal status of both men and women. In the post-war period, it was believed that social provision, together with full employment and rising real wages, would improve the welfare of all citizens. However, women were inevitably treated as second class citizens by the new welfare legislation and were assumed to be economically dependent on their husbands. As a result, though welfare provision plays a significant and liberating role in women's lives in some ways, it may also serve to restrict women by defining them in certain ways. This contradictory situations is especially true in successfully developing third world countries such as Korea. This is because the western welfare state can be misconceived as an idealistic model in which men and women obtain equality in terms of social context.

        에코부머의 근로빈곤에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to identify the current status of the working poor and the factors that are influential to the working poor among echo boomers. This study is a secondary analysis using the data from the 7th analysis of the 2012 Korea Welfare Panel Survey, conducted by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs. This analysis considered Korean echo boomers born between 1979 and 1985. In our final analysis, we used 1,226 echo boomers who had the ability to work. For the analysis, the SAS/PC statistical program ver. 9.3 was utilized. The research findings are as follows; Firstly, of the working poor among the echo boomers, only 22% were in the state of poverty. Secondly, more echo boomers living in a metropolitan city, city, gun/urban-rural area and district than those in the Seoul were categorized as among the working poor; the same was true for those who lived in a free house than in a leased room or a room that was rented by the month. Thirdly, more echo boomers whose education level was high school graduate or less rather than college graduate or less or university graduate or more were categorized as among the working poor; this was also true for echo boomers whose employment type was temporary employment, self-employment, or unemployment rather than a full-time job.
