Vol.15 No.3

In recent, Global e-Commerce operators have a lot of attention to a new combined word, Hitaozu(海淘族). "Hi(海)" means "Overseas", and ‘Tao(淘)’ means ‘Choose’ in Chinese. It says Chinese consumers enjoy overseas direct purchase using Internet. Also, the boom of oversea direct purchasing is ubiquitous in the most Asian developing countries. Nevertheless, there are many problems in delivery services and information services. Most customers of oversee direct purchasing are anxious about their purchasing decision and full of worries during the delivery process. They will have high interests in service quality factors of the e-Commerce site which will affect site trust, and subsequently user satisfaction. We can assume that repurchasing intention of customer will be affected by the antecedents of trust and customer satisfaction. We could find several service quality factors of overseas direct purchase website from SERVQUAL model and Information System Success Model, such as tangibles, assurance, empathy, and responsiveness. Especially, we are interest in the role of site trust as mediating variable in the research model. To verify the validity and fitness of structural model, we conducted second order factor analysis for the services quality factors and path analysis for the structural model. The model fitness was good enough. The path analysis results show that service quality affects customers" site trust and satisfaction, but it does not affects on repurchasing intention directly. Of the four service quality factors, assurance has the highest impact on the trust, and responsiveness was the next.

The boom of oversea direct purchasing, especially in China and Asian developing countries, give us new challenge about global e-Commerce practice and consumer’s behavior research. Customers who purchase from the other country shopping mall are worry about their buying decision and delivery services. They need more information about purchasing products and want more secure transaction in the paying and delivery process. They are more sensitive about terms and conditions of business. They require high service quality to the oversees e-Commerce site. To increase the shopping mall loyalty, the oversees direct merchandising site must increase their trust as well as information system services. We assumed that the site loyalty of customer will be affected by the site trust and information service quality. The assumptions about influence factors of site trust and loyalty in the oversees direct purchasing give us a research model which was built on the basis of DeLone and McLean’s Revised Information Success Model. In the model, especially, we are interest in the role of site trust as mediating variable in the research model. To verify the validity and fitness of the model, we conducted factor analysis for the measurement variables and regression analysis with mediating variable. The model fitness was good enough. The results of regression analysis showed that all the three website quality factors(information quality, system quality, service quality) affected on the customers’ site trust, and subsequently on the site loyalty. We could prove the mediating role of site trust in the model. In addition, we analyzed the moderating effects of customer’s gender and risk taking tendency. We could not find any enough evidences about the moderating effects of two variable, but fond some different effects between site quality factors and trust in the 2×2 group analysis. We could find some import practical implications from the analysis. He who want to be a winner in the oversees direct merchandising must get customer’s trust through information and service quality management. Customer segmentation strategy is good way if the customers are sensitive to risk and price.

2-D meso-scale complex fracture modeling of concrete with embedded cohesive elements

        Mingyan Shen,Zheng Shi,Chao Zhao,Xingu Zhong,Bo Liu,Xiaojuan Shu 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2019 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.24 No.3

This paper has presented an effective and accurate meso-scale finite element model for simulating the fracture process of concrete under compression-shear loading. In the proposed model, concrete is parted into four important phases: aggregates, cement matrix, interfacial transition zone (ITZ), and the initial defects. Aggregate particles were modelled as randomly distributed polygons with a varying size according to the sieve curve developed by Fuller and Thompson. With regard to initial defects, only voids are considered. Cohesive elements with zero thickness are inserted into the initial mesh of cement matrix and along the interface between aggregate and cement matrix to simulate the cracking process of concrete. The constitutive model provided by ABAQUS is modified based on Wang’s experiment and used to describe the failure behaviour of cohesive elements. User defined programs for aggregate delivery, cohesive element insertion and modified facture constitutive model are developed based on Python language, and embedded into the commercial FEM package ABAQUS. The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed model are firstly identified by comparing the numerical results with the experimental ones, and then it is used to investigate the effect of meso-structure on the macro behavior of concrete. The shear strength of concrete under different pressures is also involved in this study, which could provide a reference for the macroscopic simulation of concrete component under shear force.

A 3-D RBSM for simulating the failure process of RC structures

        Zhong, Xingu,Zhao, Chao,Liu, Bo,Shu, Xiaojuan,Shen, Mingyan Techno-Press 2018 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.65 No.3

Rigid body spring method (RBSM) is an effective tool to simulate the cracking process of structures, and has been successfully applied to investigate the behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) members. However, the theoretical researches and engineering applications of this method mainly focus on two-dimensional problems as yet, which greatly limits its applications in actual engineering projects. In this study, a three-dimensional (3-D) RBSM for RC structures is proposed. In the proposed model, concrete, reinforcing steels, and their interfaces are represented as discrete entities. Concrete is partitioned into a collection of rigid blocks and a uniform distribution of normal and tangential springs is defined along their boundaries to reflect its material properties. Reinforcement is modeled as a series of bar elements which can be freely positioned in the structural domain and irrespective of the mesh geometry of concrete. The bond-slip characteristics between reinforcing steel and concrete are also considered by introducing special linkage elements. The applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method is firstly confirmed by an elastic T-shape beam, and then it is applied to analyze the failure processes of a Z-type component under direct shear loading and a RC beam under two-point loading.

A modified RBSM for simulating the failure process of RC structures

        Chao Zhao,Xingu Zhong,Bo Liu,Xiaojuan Shu,Mingyan Shen 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2018 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.21 No.2

In this paper, a modified rigid body spring model (RBSM) is proposed and used to analyze the damage and failure process of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. In the proposed model, the concrete is represented by an assembly of rigid blocks connected with a uniform distribution of normal and tangential springs to simulate the macroscopic mechanical behavior of concrete. Steel bars are evenly dispersed into rigid blocks as a kind of homogeneous axial material, and an additional uniform distribution of axial and dowel springs is defined to consider the axial stiffness and dowel action of steel bars. Perfect bond between the concrete and steel bars is assumed, and tension stiffening effect of steel bars is modeled by adjusting the constitutive relationship for the tensile reinforcement. Adjacent blocks are allowed to separate at the contact interface, which makes it convenient and easy to simulate the cracking process of concrete. The failure of the springs is determined by the Mohr-Coulomb type criterion with the tension and compression caps. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by elastic analyses of a cantilever beam under different loading conditions and failure analyses of a RC beam under two-point loading.

      • An advanced Parallel FPGA Architecture for Bi-directional Motion Estimation

        Yangfan Huang,Minjun Deng,Donglian Li,Zhenzhen Li,Mingyan Yu,Cailan Zeng,Yu Zhang,Zhuo Chen,Pengcheng Cao,Ran Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.9

Motion estimation (ME) and motion compensation (MC) are the key elements for frame rate up-conversion (FRUC) system. Fast and accurate motion estimation is the premise of high quality motion compensation. Unlike conventional unidirectional motion estimation which brings holes, overlaps and blocking artifacts, the bi-directional motion estimation does not produce any overlapped pixel or hole in the interpolated frames. As a result, the bi-directional motion estimation has better performance than conventional unidirectional motion estimation. This paper presents an efficient FPGA architecture targeting bi-directional motion estimation hardware implementation. This proposed architecture can achieve real-time processing for 1280x720@60Hz under 200MHz operating frequency. The design is described in Verilog HDL, verified in Virtex5 FPGA platform. Experimental results show that the proposed architecture has high performance and low cost for bi-directional motion estimation algorithm. This architecture can be used for video post-processing system.

Calcium signalling mediated the regulation of growth and polysaccharide accumulation by light quality in Dendrobium offi cinale protocorms

        Ting Lei,Suping Gao,Xiao Lin,Kaihui Zhang,Yingqi Liu,Wenji Li,Di Hu,Xiaofang Yu,Mingyan Jiang,Qibing Chen,Ying Sun 한국원예학회 2021 Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology Vol.62 No.2

This study selected Dendrobium offi cinale protocorms as the experimental material and used diff erent light-quality treatmentsand calcium signalling inhibitors to explore the mechanism of the biological response of calcium to light quality. The results indicate that a 1:3 red:blue (R:B) light ratio promotes the accumulation of biomass and polysaccharides in theprotocorm. Nevertheless, this eff ect can be entirely counteracted by calmodulin (CaM) inhibitors and calcium ion-chelatingagents. The possible mechanisms of this eff ect are as follows: (1) The Ca 2+ -CaM signal-regulated photosynthetic apparatusis improved by the R:B 1:3 light, increasing the CaM content and Ca 2+ -ATPase activity. Thus, R:B 1:3 light increases thedevelopment of the photosynthetic apparatus in the D. offi cinale protocorm, enhances its photosynthetic productivity, andpromotes the activities of sucrose phosphatase; accordingly, biomass and sucrose accumulation increase. (2) R:B 1:3 lightenhances Ca 2+ -CaM signalling and regulates glycometabolic processes to promote the activities of sucrose synthase, thusincreasing fructose and glucose levels and providing suffi cient synthetic precursors to promote polysaccharide production.

Molybdenum trioxide impregnated carbon aerogel for gaseous elemental mercury removal

        Yang Ling,Xiaokun Man,Wenbo Zhang,Daolei Wang,Jiang Wu,Qizhen Liu,Mingyan Gu,Yuyu Lin,Ping He,Tao Jia 한국화학공학회 2020 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.37 No.4

A novel gaseous elemental mercury (Hg0) removal agent was successfully synthesized via impregnation method, by using molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) as the active component and carbon aerogel (CA) as the carrier. The as-prepared samples maintained a large specific surface area and excellent pore structure of the pure carbon aerogel, so that MoO3 was better dispersed to obtain enhanced Hg0 removal performance. The maximum efficiency of elemental mercury removal was about 74%, achieved by Mo/C500 sample at 300 oC, while it still had good ability (nearly 60%) in the range of 500-700 oC. The mechanism of mercury oxidation removal was also verified by DFT calculation. This work should help in developing suitable materials for thermocatalytic oxidation of elemental mercury, and also provide some theoretical basis and data support for full-scale application of heavy metal mercury pollution control in coalfired power plants.

Nuciferine modulates the gut microbiota and prevents obesity in high-fat diet-fed rats

        Wang Yueping,Yao Weifan,Li Bo,Qian Shiyun,Wei Binbin,Gong Shiqiang,Wang Jing,Liu Mingyan,Wei Minjie 생화학분자생물학회 2020 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.52 No.-

Gut microbiota dysbiosis has a significant role in the pathogenesis of metabolic diseases, including obesity. Nuciferine (NUC) is a main bioactive component in the lotus leaf that has been used as food in China since ancient times. Here, we examined whether the anti-obesity effects of NUC are related to modulations in the gut microbiota. Using an obese rat model fed a HFD for 8 weeks, we show that NUC supplementation of HFD rats prevents weight gain, reduces fat accumulation, and ameliorates lipid metabolic disorders. Furthermore, 16S rRNA gene sequencing of the fecal microbiota suggested that NUC changed the diversity and composition of the gut microbiota in HFD-fed rats. In particular, NUC decreased the ratio of the phyla Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes, the relative abundance of the LPS-producing genus Desulfovibrio and bacteria involved in lipid metabolism, whereas it increased the relative abundance of SCFA-producing bacteria in HFD-fed rats. Predicted functional analysis of microbial communities showed that NUC modified genes involved in LPS biosynthesis and lipid metabolism. In addition, serum metabolomics analysis revealed that NUC effectively improved HFD-induced disorders of endogenous metabolism, especially lipid metabolism. Notably, NUC promoted SCFA production and enhanced intestinal integrity, leading to lower blood endotoxemia to reduce inflammation in HFD-fed rats. Together, the anti-obesity effects of NUC may be related to modulations in the composition and potential function of gut microbiota, improvement in intestinal barrier integrity and prevention of chronic low-grade inflammation. This research may provide support for the application of NUC in the prevention and treatment of obesity.
