Coupled Orbit-attitude Saturated Control for Solar Sail in Earth-Moon 3-body System

        Liping Wu,Yu Guo,Zhihao Zhu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.11

This paper aims to investigate a coupled orbit-attitude control strategy for a kind of novel spacecraft, solar sail, to track the given orbit in Earth-Moon 3-Body dynamic environment in presence of the matched and mismatched disturbances, attitude control saturation, orbital modeling error and parametric uncertainties. A cascaded triple-loop control structure is proposed to deal with the strong couplings between the orbit and attitude systems. The inner loop focusing on the orbital effects on attitude dynamics, an adaptive saturation controller is proposed to achieve attitude angular tracking, where the uncertain inertia, unknown matched disturbance and saturated attitude control torque are compensated by combining the unknown knowledge. The middle loop is to handle the orbit effects on attitude kinematics facing the mismatched disturbance. In the outer loop, the effects of attitude systemon orbit dynamics are deal with, where an adaptive orbit controller is designed considering the uncertain optical parameter and orbital modeling error. The proposed control structure efficiently simplifies the coupled orbit-attitudecontrol design for solar sail. In contrast to traditional coupled controllers for solar sail, the proposed control laws do not require exact knowledge of parametric uncertainties, disturbances and orbit modeling errors. The combination of unknown information reduces the number of estimated parameters as well. The numerical simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Guaranteed Cost Consensus for a Class of Fractional-order Uncertain Multi-agent Systems with State Time Delay

        Liping Chen,Xiaomin Li,Xiang Li,Min Zhu,Ranchao Wu,António M. Lopes 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.11

This work investigates the guaranteed cost leader-following consensus of a class of uncertain fractionalorder (FO) multi-agent systems (FOMASs) affected by state time delay. The leader and following group are exposed to norm-bounded time-varying parametric uncertainty and time-delay. A delay- and order-dependent consensus protocol is developed which guarantees robust stability of the controlled system and ensures that the effect of uncertainty on the system performance is below some prescribed index. The FO Razumikhin theorem and the linear matrix inequality approach are adopted to derive the method that can be applied to FOMASs with deterministic parameters. The analysis can be extended to distinct consensus problems for different types of FOMASs. Three numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the approach.

Wu, Yuqing,Zhang, Liping,Jung, Young Mee,Ozaki, Yukihiro Elsevier 2018 Spectrochimica acta. Part A, Molecular and biomole Vol.189 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2DCOS) has been widely used to Infrared, Raman, Near IR, Optical Activity (ROA), Vibrational Circular Dichroism (VCD) and Fluorescence spectroscopy. In addition, several new developments, such as 2D hetero-correlation analysis, moving-window two-dimensional (MW2D) correlation, model based correlation (βν and <I>k</I>ν correlation analyses) have also well incorporated into protein research. They have been used to investigate secondary structure, denaturation, folding and unfolding changes of protein, and have contributed greatly to the field of protein science. This review provides an overview of the applications of 2DCOS in the field of protein science for the past 20 year, especially to memory our old friend, Dr. Boguslawa Czarnik-Matusewicz, for her great contribution in this research field. The powerful utility of 2DCOS combined with various analytical techniques in protein studies is summarized. The noteworthy developments and perspective of 2DCOS in this field are highlighted finally.</P>

Synthesis and Characterization of pH-sensitive and Self-oscillating IPN Hydrogel in a pH Oscillator

        Liping Wang,Jie Ren,Xiaoyan Zhang,Xiaoci Yang,Wu Yang 한국고분자학회 2015 폴리머 Vol.39 No.3

A self-oscillating interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) poly(acrylic acid)/poly(ethylene glycol) (PAA/PEG) hydrogel was prepared by using radical polymerization with a two-step method. The IPN hydrogel was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy and morphological analysis. The results indicated that the chains of PEG and PAA twined to form porous structure which is beneficial to water molecules entering inside of the hydrogel. In addition, the pH-responsive behavior, salt sensitivity, swelling/de-swelling oscillatory behaviors and self-oscillation in a closed pH oscillator were also studied. The results showed that the prepared hydrogel exhibited pH-sensitivity, good swelling/de-swelling reversibility and excellent salt sensitivity. The self-oscillating behavior of swelling/de-swelling for the prepared hydrogel was caused by pH alteration coupled with the external media. This study may create a new possibility as biomaterial including new self-walking actuators and other related devices.

Construction of Block-LDPC Codes based on Quadratic Permutation Polynomials

Wu Guan,Liping Liang 한국통신학회 2015 Journal of communications and networks Vol.17 No.2

A new block low-density parity-check (Block-LDPC) code based on quadratic permutation polynomials (QPPs) is proposed. The parity-check matrix of the Block-LDPC code is composed of a group of permutation submatrices that correspond to QPPs. The scheme provides a large range of implementable LDPC codes. Indeed, the most popular quasi-cyclic LDPC (QC-LDPC) codes are just a subset of this scheme. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme can offer similar error performance and implementation complexity as the popular QC-LDPC codes.

MicroRNA-576-3p Inhibits Proliferation in Bladder Cancer Cells by Targeting Cyclin D1

        Liping Xie,Zhen Liang,Shiqi Li,Xin Xu,Xianglai Xu,Xiao Wang,Jian Wu,Yi Zhu,Zhenghui Hu,Yiwei Lin,Yeqing Mao,Hong Chen,Jindan Luo,Ben Liu,Xiangyi Zheng 한국분자세포생물학회 2015 Molecules and cells Vol.38 No.2

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, endogenous RNAs that play important gene-regulatory roles by binding to the imperfectly complementary sequences at the 3 -UTR of mRNAs and directing their gene expression. Here, we first discovered that miR-576-3p was down-regulated in human bladder cancer cell lines compared with the non-malignant cell line. To better characterize the role of miR-576-3p in bladder cancer cells, we over-expressed or down-regulated miR-576-3p in bladder cancer cells by transfecting with chemically synthesized mimic or inhibitor. The overexpression of miR-576-3p remarkably inhibited cell proliferation via G1-phase arrest, and decreased both mRNA and protein levels of cyclin D1 which played a key role in G1/S phase transition. The knock-down of miR-576-3p significantly promoted the proliferation of bladder cancer cells by accelerating the progression of cell cycle and increased the expression of cyclin D1. Moreover, the dual-luciferase reporter assays indicated that miR-576-3p could directly target cyclin D1 through binding its 3 -UTR. All the results demonstrated that miR-576-3p might be a novel suppressor of bladder cancer cell proliferation through targeting cyclin D1.

Delayed Anaphylaxis to Red Meat Associated With Specific IgE Antibodies to Galactose

        Liping Wen,Junxiong Zhou,Jia Yin,Jin-lu Sun,Kai Wu,Rohit katial,Yi Sun 대한천식알레르기학회 2015 Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Research Vol.7 No.1

ducAnovel delayed anaphylactic reaction to red meat, associated with tick bites and IgE antibodies against galactose-α-1, 3-galactose (α-gal), was reported in 2009 in the US, Australia and Europe. In this case, serum specific IgE to galactose-α-1, 3-galactose (>100 kU/L) and IgE to multiple non-primate mammalian proteins were positive. However, the pathogenesis of this disease remains unclear. We report the first case in Asia of delayed anaphylactic reaction to red meat, which was induced by bites from the hard tick, Hematophagous ixodidae. We confirmed the increased concentration of IgE reactive epitopes in non-primate mammalian organs, which may be rich in α-gal proteins in lymphatic and endothelial tissues. All confirmed ticks associated with this disorder in the literature and in our case belonged to the hard tick family. We hypothesize that hard tick saliva is enriched with blood-type substances, such as oligosaccharides, from the non-primate mammal victim’s blood after days to weeks of blood sucking, which sensitizes humans through the injection route while blood sucking. ducA novel delayed anaphylactic reaction to red meat, associated with tick bites and IgE antibodies against galactose-α-1, 3-galactose (α-gal), was reported in 2009 in the US, Australia and Europe. Electrophoretic Deposition of Chitosan-modified Carbon Fiber to Enhance Hygrothermal and Mechanical Properties of Carbon Fiber/Polyamide 6 Composites

        Liping Li,Daoyi Wu,Min He 한국섬유공학회 2020 Fibers and polymers Vol.21 No.3

The surface of carbon fiber (CF) was modified by the electrophoretic deposition of cationic chitosan (CS), whichis expected to enhance the hygrothermal and mechanical properties of carbon fiber/polyamide 6 (CF/PA 6) composites. Carbon fiber in various treatment stages was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectronspectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The studies demonstrate that thechitosan-modified carbon fiber (CS-CF) increases the surface chemical activity and roughness of carbon fiber, whichenhances the chemical bonding and mechanical interlocking of carbon fiber with PA 6. Compared with desized carbon fiber(D-CF), the O/C composition ratio of CS-CF increased from 20.34 % to 50.86 %, and the tensile strength and flexuralstrength of the CS-CF/PA 6 composites were enhanced by 50.31 % and 43.88 %, respectively. In addition, the hygrothermalproperties of CS-CF/PA 6 were also improved. Fracture observation of the composite cross-sections further elucidates themechanism of interfacial strengthening.

Effect of cohesive particle addition on bubbling characteristics of gas-solid fluidized bed: Meso-scale mechanism

        Wei Liping,Li Haoqi,Wu Changsong,Lu Youjun,Luo Kun 한국화학공학회 2023 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.40 No.6

Due to the small particle size and large specific surface area, the cohesive particles affect the flow characteristics in a gas-solid bubbling fluidized bed. They can easily produce agglomerated and smooth heterogeneous flow under the different cohesive particle addition amounts. The influence of the cohesive particle amount on the bubbling characteristics was experimentally investigated for two typical cases: bed surface agglomerate and well-dispersed with the bed. The images of bubble rise were recorded by digital camera and processed by binarization to track bubble motion and obtained the bubble motion characteristics. An energy minimization multiscale (EMMS) model based on binary particle bubble was expanded to the flow of cohesive particles to reveal the basic mechanism of influence of the cohesive particle. By comparing the results predicted by the model with the experimental data, it is found that the change rules of bubble size and bubble rising speed are similar, which proves the feasibility of the newly developed EMMS model. A study of the structure shows that the addition of cohesive particles increases the size of the bubbles and inhibits the collapse of the bubble due to the reduction of the gas-solid resistance coefficient.
