        Dynamic Bidirectional Relationship Between Urban Rail Transit and Urban Economy Agglomeration: A Case Study in China

        Based on operation kilometers, amounts and station numbers of urban rail transit (URT) lines in a city, this study utilizes simultaneous panel data equations (SPDE) to comprehensively analyze the bidirectional dynamics of urban rail transit (URT) on urban economies. Drawing on data from 2010 to 2019 across 40 Chinese cities, we rigorously examine the SPDE model's robustness through elastic analysis and placebo tests. Economic variables within the SPDE framework are aggregated based on geographic population scales, yielding new endogenous variables that facilitate a deeper exploration of URT's impact on economic agglomeration. Our findings highlight URT's positive spillover effects, promoting both geographic and demographic economic agglomeration. Nevertheless, it is imperative to note that URT's capacity to ameliorate economic conditions remains constrained in cities with sluggish or stagnant development.

        Isolation and Characterization of Cold- Adapted PGPB and Their Effect on Plant Growth Promotion

        Cold-adapted plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) with multiple functions are an important resource for microbial fertilizers with low-temperature application. In this study, culturable coldadapted PGPB strains with nitrogen fixation and phosphorus solubilization abilities were isolated. They were screened from root and rhizosphere of four dominant grass species in nondegraded alpine grasslands of the Qilian Mountains, China. Their other growth-promoting characteristics, including secretion of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), production of siderophores and ACC deaminase, and antifungal activity, were further studied by qualitative and quantitative methods. In addition, whether the PGPB strains could still exert plant growth-promoting activity at 4°C was verified. The results showed that 67 isolates could maintain one or more growth-promoting traits at 4°C, and these isolates were defined as cold-adapted PGPB. They were divided into 8 genera by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and phylogenetic analysis, of which Pseudomonas (64.2%) and Serratia (13.4%) were the common dominant genera, and a few specific genera varied among the plant species. A test-tube culture showed that inoculation of Elymus nutans seedlings with cold-adapted PGPB possessing different functional characteristics had a significant growth-promoting effect under controlled low-temperature conditions, including the development of the roots and aboveground parts. Pearson correlation analysis revealed that different growth-promoting characteristics made different contributions to the development of the roots and aboveground parts. These cold-adapted PGPB can be used as excellent strain resources suitable for the near-natural restoration of degraded alpine grasslands or agriculture stock production in cold areas.

        눈 움직임 추적 기술 활용 연구 탐색 : 중국 스포츠 영역에서의 계량 서지학적 분석

        이 연구는 중국 스포츠 영역에서 눈 운직임 추적 기술을 활용한 연구의 발전과 적용 사례를 조사하는 데 목적이 있다. 스포츠과학 연구에 있어서 눈 움직임 추적 기술은 운동선수의 시각탐색 전략, 시선조절, 주의 과정에 대한 객관적 정보를 제공하는 매우 중요한 방법이다. 그러나 중국의 스포츠 연구 영역에서의 눈 움직임 추적 기술의 적용 사례에 대한 확인이 전반적으로 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 이 연구는 지난 20여 년간의 눈 움직임 추적 연구의 경향과 지식 구조를 규명하기 위해서 Citespace 시각화 도구를 활용한 계량서지학적 분석을 하였다. 2001년에서 2022년까지의 CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure)의 자료를 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 눈 움직임 추적 기술과 관련된 세 개의 주요 연구 영역은 ‘눈 움직임’, ‘시각탐색’. ‘지각-인지 의사결정’ 영역이었다. 그리고 선수의 시선 매트릭스와 인지적 숙련 차이 연구는 최근 연구의 프론티어 영역임을 나타내 준다. 이러한 분석은 중국의 스포츠 관련 눈 움직임 추적 기술을 활용한 연구의 경향을 알 수 있게 해준다. 눈 움직임 추적 기술을 활용한 연구는 생체역학, 웨어어블 센서, 신경과학 기술의 발전과 함께 어울러져 의미 있는 연구 결과를 도출할 수 있고 실제의 스포츠 장면에서 모바일 눈 움직임 추적 기술의 사용을 통하여 생태학적 타당도를 확보할 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the development and application of sports-related eye-tracking research in China. Eye-tracking technology has emerged as a valuable methodology in sports science research, providing objective insights into athletes’ visual search strategies, gaze control and attentional processes during sports performance. However, the development and application of eye-tracking research in China sports has not been thoroughly reviewed. Thus, this study used bibliometric analysis combined with CiteSpace visualization tools to elucidate trends and knowledge structure of eye-tracking research in China sports science over the past two decades. Literature from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database published between 2001-2022 was examined. Results reveal three primary application areas: athletes’ eye movements, visual search strategies, and perceptual-cognitive decision making. Athletes’ gaze metrics and cognitive expertise differences represent current research frontiers. These findings establish an important benchmark of the progression of sports-related eye-tracking research in China. The advancement of biomechanics, wearable sensors, and neuroscience technology, along with research utilizing eye-tracking technology, can yield significant research findings. Furthermore, utilizing mobile eye-tracking technology in real sports situations could enhance ecological validity.

        Prevalence of Decreased Myocardial Blood Flow in Symptomatic Patients with Patent Coronary Stents: Insights from Low-Dose Dynamic CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging

        Objective: To study the prevalence and clinical characteristics of decreased myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantified by dynamic computed tomography (CT) myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) in symptomatic patients without in-stent restenosis. Materials and Methods: Thirty-seven (mean age, 71.3 ± 10 years; age range, 48–88 years; 31 males, 6 females) consecutive symptomatic patients with patent coronary stents and without obstructive de novo lesions were prospectively enrolled to undergo dynamic CT-MPI using a third-generation dual-source CT scanner. The shuttle-mode acquisition technique was used to image the complete left ventricle. A bolus of contrast media (50 mL; iopromide, 370 mg iodine/mL) was injected into the antecubital vein at a rate of 6 mL/s, followed by a 40-mL saline flush. The mean MBF value and other quantitative parameters were measured for each segment of both stented-vessel territories and reference territories. The MBFratio was defined as the ratio of the mean MBF value of the whole stent-vessel territory to that of the whole reference territory. An MBFratio of 0.85 was used as the cut-off value to distinguish hypoperfused from non-hypoperfused segments. Results: A total of 629 segments of 37 patients were ultimately included for analysis. The mean effective dose of dynamic CT-MPI was 3.1 ± 1.2 mSv (range, 1.7–6.3 mSv). The mean MBF of stent-vessel territories was decreased in 19 lesions and 81 segments. Compared to stent-vessel territories without hypoperfusion, the mean MBF and myocardial blood volume were markedly lower in hypoperfused stent-vessel territories (77.5 ± 16.6 mL/100 mL/min vs. 140.4 ± 24.1 mL/100 mL/min [p < 0.001] and 6.4 ± 3.7 mL/100 mL vs. 11.5 ± 4 mL/100 mL [p < 0.001, respectively]). Myocardial hypoperfusion in stentvessel territories was present in 48.6% (18/37) of patients. None of clinical parameters differed statistically significantly between hypoperfusion and non-hypoperfusion subgroups. Conclusion: Decreased MBF is commonly present in patients who are symptomatic after percutaneous coronary intervention, despite patent stents and can be detected by dynamic CT-MPI using a low radiation dose.

        Enhanced electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 cathode material co-coated by graphene/TiO2

        The electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 (NCM523) layered cathode material, such as poor rate capacity and cycling stability caused by undesirable intrinsic conductivity and low rate of lithium ion transportation, are not fairly good especially at elevated rate and cut-off voltage. To improve these properties, in this study, the co-coating layer of graphene and TiO2 was constructed on NCM523 surface. The graphene/TiO2 coating layer could effectively prevent hydrofluoric acid (HF) attacks, suppress the side reaction, accelerate the lithium ion diffusion and facilitate the electron migration. The enhancement of cycle performance and rate capacity was contributed to the uniform co-modified surface, interacting each other and thus exhibiting synergistic effects.

      • Equine Arteritis Virus Does Not Induce Interferon Production in Equine Endothelial Cells: Identification of Nonstructural Protein 1 as a Main Interferon Antagonist

        <P>The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of equine arteritis virus (EAV) on type I interferon (IFN) production. Equine endothelial cells (EECs) were infected with the virulent Bucyrus strain (VBS) of EAV and expression of IFN-<I><I>β</I></I> was measured at mRNA and protein levels by quantitative real-time RT-PCR and IFN bioassay using vesicular stomatitis virus expressing the green fluorescence protein (VSV-GFP), respectively. Quantitative RT-PCR results showed that IFN-<I><I>β</I></I> mRNA levels in EECs infected with EAV VBS were not increased compared to those in mock-infected cells. Consistent with quantitative RT-PCR, Sendai virus- (SeV-) induced type I IFN production was inhibited by EAV infection. Using an IFN-<I><I>β</I></I> promoter-luciferase reporter assay, we subsequently demonstrated that EAV nsps 1, 2, and 11 had the capability to inhibit type I IFN activation. Of these three nsps, nsp1 exhibited the strongest inhibitory effect. Taken together, these data demonstrate that EAV has the ability to suppress the type I IFN production in EECs and nsp1 may play a critical role to subvert the equine innate immune response.</P>

        NEDD4 Regulated Pyroptosis Occurred from Co-infection between Influenza A Virus and Streptococcus pneumoniae

        Co-infection of respiratory tract viruses and bacteria often result in excess mortality, especially pneumonia caused by influenza viruses and Streptococcus pneumoniae. However, the synergistic mechanisms remain poorly understood. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a clearer understanding of the molecular basis of the interaction between influenza virus and Streptococcus pneumonia. Here, we developed the BALB/c mouse model and the A549 cell model to investigate inflammation and pyroptotic cell death during co-infection. Co-infection significantly activated the NLRP3 inflammasome and induced pyroptotic cell death, correlated with excess mortality. The E3 ubiquitin ligase NEDD4 interacted with both NLRP3 and GSDMD, the executor of pyroptosis. NEDD4 negatively regulated NLRP3 while positively regulating GSDMD, thereby modulating inflammation and pyroptotic cell death. Our findings suggest that NEDD4 may play a crucial role in regulating the GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis signaling pathway. Targeting NEDD4 represents a promising approach to mitigate excess mortality during influenza pandemics by suppressing synergistic inflammation during co-infection of influenza A virus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
