Si(lmn) 표면 반전층의 전자적 부띠에너지에 대한 에너지띠구조 효과

임의의 표면 배향을 갖는 Si 표면 반전층 내 전자들의 유효질량과 부띠(subband)에너지를 고찰하였다. 본 논문에서는 <110>축 주위로 (110)면에서 (111)면 쪽으로 임의의 각도 θ만큼 회전하여 얻는 표면배향을 가지는 Si(lmn) 표면 공간전하층의 역유효질양 텐서 α를 θ의 함수로 얻은 다음, 하아트리 근사 변분파동함수를 바탕으로 한 다체섭동 계산방법으로 전기적 부띠 에너지를 구하였다. 표면배향에 따른 부띠구조를 조사함으로써 에너지띠 구조의 영향을 알아보았다. 교환-상관 에너지 범함수를 단일입자 슈뢰딩거 방정식에 도입함으로써 좀더 개선된 바탕을 써서 전자-전자 상호작용 효과를 고찰하였다. Effective masses and subband energies are examined for the electrons in silicon surface inversion layers with various surface orientations. In this paper expressions of the inverse effective mass tensors αare derived for the Si(lmn) space charge layers with surface orientations obtained by rotating from (110) to (111) by θ around <111> and the electric subband energies are evaluated within a many body perturbation method based on the Hartree variational wavefunctions. By examining the subband structures for various surface orientations the band-structure effects are investigated. The effects of the electron-electron are included using a more improved set of basis-functions, which are obtained by employing an exchange-correlation functional in the single-particle Schroedinger equation.

Purpose : To investigate the relationship between 3D bone architectural parameters and direction-related elastic moduli of cancellous bone of mandibular condyle. Materials and Methods : Two micro-pigs (Micro-pig^(R), PWG Genetics Korea) were used. Each pig was about 12 months old and weighing around 44 kg. 31 cylindrical bone specimen were obtained from cancellous bone of condyles for 3D analysis and measured by micro-computed tomography. Six parameters were trabecular thickness (Tb.Th), bone specific surface (BS/BV), percent bone volume (BV/TV), structure model index (SMI), degree of anisotropy (DA) and 3-dimensional fractal dimension (3DFD). Elastic moduli of three orthogonal directions (superiorinferior (SI), medial-lateral (ML), andterior-posterior (AP) direction) were calculated through finite element analysis. Results : Elastic modulus of superior-inferior direction was higher than those of other directions. Elastic moduli of 3 orthogonal directions showed different correlation with 3D architectural parameters. Elastic moduli of SI and ML directions showed significant strong to moderate correlation with BV/TV, SMI and 3DFD. Conclusion : Elastic modulus of cancellous bone of pig mandibular condyle was highest in the SI direction and it was supposed that the change into plate-like structure of trabeculae was mainly affected by increase of trabeculae of SI and ML directions.
선행 제왕절개 후의 질식 분만시 성공군과 실패군의 비교연구

Objectives: Vaginal birth or trial of labor after previous cesarean section has become one of the most remarkable changes in obstetric practice. The safety and efficacy of a trial of labor and vaginal birth after previous cesarean are well documented. The purpose of this report is to predict the likelihood of vaginal birth in patients undergoing a trial of labor after previous cesarean delivery using factors known at the time of hospital admission. Method: In this retrospective study, 120 women who attempted vaginal birth at Kyung-Hee University Hospital from March 1997 to March 1999. An attempt to identify possible prognostic factors for success of such a trial was made and we evaluated the variables of significant predictive value and the patients' characteristics in the success group and failure group of women who attempted VBAC. Result: 87 cases(72.5%) in 120 cases succeeded in VBAC and 33 cases(27.5%) failed. In this comparative groups in VBAC, there was significant difference in CPD index(cephalopelvic disproportion index) and Bishop score, but no significant difference in gestational age, the estimated fetal weight by sonography and newborn birth weight. Conclusion: In this study, Bishop score and CPD index and age may be useful and valid predictor of success in VBAC and this information could be particularly valuable. The CPD index may prove most important in determining if a vaginal birth should occur after a cesarean section because it can clearly identify some patients who need a repeat cesarean section.

One is global path planning and another is local path planning. In this paper, we study the local path planning of autonomous mobile robot move in unknown enviroment. This local path planning is based on neural network using the direction indicator rules learning. Also the system is made up of sensor system. 방사선사진에서의 골질과 임상적으로 평가한 골질 분류의 상관관계

Purpose : To investigate the validity of digital image processing on panoramic radiographs in estimating bone quality before endosseous dental implant installation by correlating bone quality in radiographic images with clinical bone quality classification. Materials and Methods : An experienced surgeon assessed and classified bone quality for implant sites with tactile sensation at the time of implant placement. Including fractal dimension eighteen morphologic features of trabecular pattern were examined in each anatomical sites on panoramic radiographs. Finally bone quality of 67 implant sites were evaluated in 42 patients. Results : Pearson correlation analysis showed that three morphologic parameters had weak linear negative correlation with clinical bone quality classification showing correlation coefficients of -0.276, -0.280, and -0.289, respectively (p<0.05). And other three morphologic parameters had obvious linear negative correlation with clinical bone quality classification showing correlation coefficients of -0.346, -0.488, and -0.343 respectively (p<0.05). Fractal dimension also had a linear correlation with clinical bone quality classification with correlation coefficients -0.506 significantly (p<0.05). Conclusion : This study suggests that fractal and morphometric analysis using digital panoramic radiographs can be used to evaluate bone quality for implant recipient sites. Desmoplastic ameloblastoma is a rare histologic variant of ameloblastoma. It shows important differences in anatomic distribution, histologic appearance, and radiographic findings compared with the general type of ameloblastoma. It is histologically characterized by an abundance of densely collagenous stroma and radiographically a mixed radiolucent-radiopaque lesion. We present three cases of desmoplastic ameloblastoma. All the patients complained on buccal swelling with or without pain and the sites of occurrence were the anterior and the premolar region. Plain radiographs showed mixed radiopaque-radiolucent lesion with ill-defined or diffuse sclerotic margin and no external root resorption. Additionally, CT scans revealed buccal expansion and relatively well-defined margin of the lesions. The clinical and radiographic features of the presented cases were compared with those of the desmoplastic ameloblastoma in the previous literatures. (Korean J Oral Maxillofac Radiol 2006; 36 : 63-8)

Electronic Collective Modes in a Quasi-two Dimensional Semconductor Space Charge Layer

준 2차원적인 간단한 전자계에 양자역학적인 선형반응 이론을 적용하여 계의 집단진동 양식을 조사한 다음, 그 결과를 반도체 표면 반전층의 전자적인 집단진동 양식을 알아보는데 적용하였다. 변분파동함수를 써서 GaAs 반전층내 전자의 면적농도가 10^(12)/cm²인 경우의 부띠내 및 부띠간 집단진동의 분산관계에 대한 수치계산 결과도 얻었다. The collective modes of a quasi-two dimensional system of electrons are investigated using aquantum mechanical linear response formulation. The result of the theory is applied in examining the electronic collective modes of a semiconductor surface inversion layer. Numerical results for the frequencies of the intra- and the intersubband collective modes are also illustrated for the case of a GaAs layer with a surface eletron density of 10^(12)/cm₂employing variational wave functions of the MIS structure.
Intersubband Optical Absorptions in Narrow-Gap Ⅲ-Ⅴ Semiconductor Space Charge Layers

The intersubband optical transitions in narrow bandgap Ⅲ-Ⅴ compound semiconductor space charge layers are investigated theoretically with the incident light polarization. The effect of the coupling between the conduction and valence bands on the intersubband optical transitions are explored within a six-band model. The ratio of the transition probabilities for two different polarizations of the incident light is studied, and numerical estimations for space charge layers of InSb and InAs are carried out. The relation between the transition probabilities and the size of the bandgap of the substrate is expressed in a parameterized form, and its numerical results are also presented.
