B-ISDN using ATM should provide QoS of various service and also fair control for each source. In this paper, we suggested the Virtual-Time-based Round Robin(VTRR), fair scheduling algorithm guaranteeing demanded QoS. We searched the characteristic and required points possessing proper fair scheduling algorithm in high speed network. And we analyzed the performance character and simulation. The result is that VTRR is much simpler in algorithm and is better than WFQ or GPS in performance.

It is very important item the prediction of wave height distribution in harbor before the construction. If the harbor calmness is not good after the construction. it will be considered again. A numerical model based on the mild slope equation is occasionally used to calculate the wave height distribution in the harbor. But this model is usually described for regular waves. We attempted the prediction method an irregular wave field by energy superposition for regular waves with different wave direction and frequencies. In this research, we made a one and two-dimensional analysis of numerical data collected from the bend curvature of a bended river section. According to the result from the numerical analysis, the inflow & output angle caused a water level deviation which increased with an increase of the flood discharge. From the water level deviation of our two- dimensional numerical model, we obtained the maximum slope of 6,67% when the inflow and output angle was 105 degrees and the flood discharge was 500 CMS. As for the right side, the differences with the one-dimensional numerical model were reduced when the angle was more than 90˚. As for the left side the differences were reduced when the angle was more than 105˚. For a river with more than 90 degrees bend curvature, a hydraulic experiment would be more appropriate than a numerical analysis.

Lavandula vera is indispensable member of the herb family, used for perfumes and potpourri. Androgens have profound effects on the physiology of the sebaceous gland. Sebum is secreted due to the effect of androgen, which starts to be secreted at puberty. Using the human sebocyte cell line SZ95, the author investigated the inhibitory effect of Lavandula vera on the lipid production. Light microscopic finding were examined numerous cytoplasmic lipid droplets SZ95 cells by Oil red staining and lipid droplets were increased markedly by testosterone. On the other hand, combined treatment with Lavandula vera and testosterone resulted in a lower lipid droplets than with testosterone alone in a dose-dependent manner. These findings indicate that Lavandula vera acts antagonistically to testosterone and inhibits the lipid synthesis of SZ95 cells at the cellular level.

<P>In this Letter, a light-emitting diode (LED) with prism-shaped-air-ring microstructures (PSAMs) formed on flat sapphire substrate is demonstrated as an alternative design to face-up LEDs on patterned sapphire substrate (PSS) for enhanced light extraction efficiency. In this LED design, the emitted photons can be deflected to the top of the chip for its effective extraction, contrary to the PSS-LED wherein photons are guided to sapphire and get absorbed by packaging materials. The PSAM-LED showed an enhancement in the radiometric power as high as 10% with a low far-field angle of 129 over that of a PSS-LED under an injection current of 20 mA.</P>
Photoinduced Reaction of Lyocell with Water-Soluble Photoinitiator and Multifunctional Acrylate

The photo-induced reactivity of lyocell fabrics containing two water-soluble photoinitiators and multifunctional acrylate was characterized by the UV absorption and photoluminescence properties. The relative quantum yields of the fluorescence and phosphorescence were analyzed at three exciting wavelengths and the proportional constants were compared. The fabrics containing [2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl](4-benzoylbenzyl)dimethylammonium bromide (PIA) and 1,3,5-triacryloylhexahydro-s-triazine (TAF) exhibited smaller relative quantum yields than the fabrics containing [3-(3,4-dimethyl-9-oxo-9h-thioxanthene-2-yloxy)-2-hydroxypropyl]trimethylammonium chloride (PIB) and TAF. The modified cellulose fabrics with tertiary amine also had smaller relative quantum yields than regular fabrics. We found that the cellulose/PIA/TAF system was a more photoactive process than the cellulose/PIB/TAF system and that the AM/PI/TAF system was more active than the regular/PI/TAF system. Furthermore, a TAF molecule was proved to have photo-reactivity with cellulose by a comparison between the proportional constants in the fluorescence quantum yields of PI/TAF solutions and cellulose/PI/TAF fabrics. These fabrics were irradiated by a high-power UV system with an electrodeless lamp. FTIR-ATR spectra showed that TAF molecules were successfully introduced to the surfaces of the irradiated fabrics. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal stability increased and the degree of thermal depolymerization decreased with the addition of PI and TAF;therefore, it was inferred that TAF molecules were cross-linked between adjacent cellulose chains to some degree. These results agreed well with the ESCA data; the $N_{1s}/C_{1s}$ ratios increased and $O_{1s}/C_{1s}$ ratios decreased with the TAF addition. The water retention value (WRV) decreased because of the drop in swellability of the cross-linked fabric and the moisture regain value (MRV) decreased because the total water absorption sites diminished. In particular, the irradiated cellulose/PIA/TAF fabrics exhibited more distinct effects than the irradiated cellulose/PIB/TAF fabrics and the AM/PI/TAF fabrics were more photoactive in this UV-irradiation system than regular/PI/TAF fabrics.
