<P>A correct alignment is an essential requirement in homology modeling. Yet in order to bridge the structural gap between template and target, which may not only involve loop rearrangements, but also shifts of secondary structure elements and repacking of core residues, high-resolution refinement methods with full atomic details are needed. Here, we describe four approaches that address this 'last mile of the protein folding problem' and have performed well during CASP8, yielding physically realistic models: YASARA, which runs molecular dynamics simulations of models in explicit solvent, using a new partly knowledge-based all atom force field derived from Amber, whose parameters have been optimized to minimize the damage done to protein crystal structures. The LEE-SERVER, which makes extensive use of conformational space annealing to create alignments, to help Modeller build physically realistic models while satisfying input restraints from templates and CHARMM stereochemistry, and to remodel the side-chains. ROSETTA, whose high resolution refinement protocol combines a physically realistic all atom force field with Monte Carlo minimization to allow the large conformational space to be sampled quickly. And finally UNDERTAKER, which creates a pool of candidate models from various templates and then optimizes them with an adaptive genetic algorithm, using a primarily empirical cost function that does not include bond angle, bond length, or other physics-like terms.</P>

International sport federations’ (IFs) dealing with challenging issuessuch as corruption and manipulation in sport has recently gainedprominence in terms of policy, practice and as a subject ofacademic interest. Researchers stress the significance of implementing governance standards in order to raise ethical standards in sportorganizations, specifically the federations and points towards pastfailures. However, there is only a limited body of research that hasoutlined the historical development of structural changes within IFs. To address this limitation, this paper reviews the history of keypolicy changes within the International Association of AthleticsFederations (IAAF) in an attempt to contextualize its newestorganizational changes, implemented by an extensive governancestructure reform. The findings suggest that the Federation’s pastorganizational structures offer an explanation for recent allegationsof corruption and manipulation within the IAAF.
High Energy Density for Drying of Coated Webs – Porous Burner Combustion a New Approach

Existing gas fired burners work in the medium wave IR range at 1000℃ and an energy density of 200 ㎾/㎡. The patented porous burner technology reaches the short wave IR spectrum (1450℃) and comes up to an energy density of 1000 ㎾/㎡. This technology is of great interest for various applications in paper industry. Speeding up existing coating lines can be realized without a major revamp of the line. Main characteristics of this new developed technology enable a better process control. In this paper the porous burner technology for paper industry is evaluated.
Pulmonary Malakoplakia Associated with Peripheral Cysts in an Immunocompetent Patient: A Case Report

Pulmonary malakoplakia is a rare lung lesion more frequently found in immunocompromised patients than in immunocompetent individuals. In this study, we report the challenging case of a young immunocompetent patient with an irregular pulmonary nodule with peripheral cysts who, after undergoing surgery, was diagnosed with malakoplakia. Due to the rarity of the disease and the similarity of this condition to malignant neoplasms, cytopathological or histopathological examinations are necessary for the correct diagnosis. A description of pulmonary malakoplakia with peripheral cysts has not been previously published in the literature.
Columellar reconstruction: a refinement of technique

The nose is an important landmark of the face and its shape and beauty is of significant concern. The columella is the subunit between the two nostrils that provides support and projection to the nasal tip and has functional role in nostrils, as well as aesthetic. Ethiology for columellar absence or deficiency is diverse, and it is one of the most complex nasal subunits to reconstruct because of its narrow horizontal dimension, its tenuous vascularity and limited availability of adjacent tissue. We present a patient with columellar, membranous septum and upper lip defect, due to oncological resection. The lip reconstruction was designed using advancement of two upper lip edges with the technique of webster perialar/nasocheek advancement. However, the perialar/nasocheek tissue which is usually discarded was used as inferiorly based skin flaps to reconstruct the membranous septum, columellar skin and nasal vestibule lining. Rib cage cartilage graft was used as columellar strut for support. At 1-year followup, the patient has good nasal contour and projection. Scaring of the columella is very subtle. This is a versatile way for successful reconstruction of a columella and large central facial defect in one-stage operation. It is a method which provides very satisfactory aesthetic result with minimum patient morbidity and discomfort.
The Family Migration of Vietnamese Students in Korea

This study aims to explore the difficulties and challenges Vietnamese students families face in Korea. To analyze the process and reasons of their family migration and their difficulties and challenges during studying here, I introduce the concept and classify the types of family migration. The study emphasizes that the main reasons Vietnamese student families decide to migrate to Korea are family reunification and children. However, they face many difficulties and challenges in childbirth, children care, educating children, and living expenses. The study found that first, in the process of giving birth and raising children, the Vietnamese student families lack the support of their extended family. Their children do not receive any government tuition or educational support in Korea. Thus, if their children go to kindergarten, they have to pay very high tuition fees. Second, because of the language barrier, they have difficulties in educating children, communicating with doctors during medical and health check-ups, and accessing basic policy and lifestyle information in Korea. As a result, most of these families had to pay very high hospital fees for the first hospital visits, and the language barrier has put them under psychological pressure.
