본 논문에서는 최근 국내에서 개발된 자기재 및 플라스틱핀 애자의 단점을 보완한 실리콘 고무 재질의 하우징으로 구성된 폴리머 핀 애자(Polymer Pin Insulator) ANSI Class 55-3에 대하여 ANSI Std. C29.5(1984)에서 요구되는 전기적 및 기계적 특성을 고찰하였다. 정격전압이 11.5㎸인 폴리머 핀 애자의 건조 및 주수 상용주파섬락전압시험, 뇌충격섬락전압시험, 전파장해전압시험 등의 전기적 특성과 굽힘시험 등의 기계적 특성을 고찰하였으며, 그 결과 ANSI Std. C29.5(1984)의 요구사양에 만족한 실선로에 적용할 수 있는 특성을 나타내었다.
자궁내막암 환자의 수술 전 자궁경부 세포진 검사 - 임상병리학적 연관성

Objective : The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between preoperative Pap smears and known poor prognostic factors in patients with endometrial carcinoma. Methods : Between January 1989 and June 2000, preoperative evaluation of Pap smears were done in 163 patients with endometrial carcinoma who underwent total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingooophorectomy, peritoneal cytology, and pelvic and/or para-aortic lymphadenectomy. All Pap smears and histologic sections were reviewed. Pathologic parameters of hysterectomy specimens were evaluated and correlated with the findings of Pap smears. Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis. p-values<0.05 were considered significant. Results : The mean age of patients was 49 years with range between 24 and 75 years old. 72 patients (44.2%) had normal, 38 patients (23.3%) had atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance (AGUS), and 53 (32.5%) had adenocarcinoma on preoperative Pap smears. Statistically significant associations were found between Pap smears and age (p=.014), histologic grade (p=.000), cervical involvement (p=.015), depth of myometrial invasion (p=.000), lymph-vascular space invasion (p=.000), and surgical stage (p=.049). Patients with malignant cytology were more likely to have older age, poorly differentiated malignancies, deeper myometrial invasion, cervical metastases, lymphvascular invasion and higher surgical stage. However, histologic subtypes (p=.328), peritoneal cytology (p=.067), adnexal involvement (p=.602) and pelvic and/or para-aortic lymph node metastases (p=.266 and p=.220) were not statistically significant. Conclusion : This study revealed that preoperative abnormal Pap smears in patients with endometrial carcinoma were significantly associated with age, histologic grade, cervical involvement, depth of myometrial invasion, lymphvascular space invasion and surgical stage. Therefore, Pap smears could be an important part of the preoperative evaluation in patients with endometrial carcinoma.

It has been reported that more than 50% of breakdown in transmission line for 154㎸ and above is due to lightning stroke. The flashover failure due to lightning stroke causes outage, voltage drop and instantaneous outage, Therefore line arrestors have been used in transmission line for protection from lightning stroke. In this paper, we describes electrical characteristics and performance test of line arrestor for transmission line.

Background: Hydroxyethyl starch (HES) effectively restores plasma volume and thereby enhances microcirculation and tissue oxygenation at the expense of coagulation impairment. These effects are related to molecular weight, substitution and C2:C6 ratio. But, most of the studies regarding coagulation impairment in cardiac surgeries were performed in patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass which significantly causes coagulation derangements. Therefore, we have evaluated the effects of 2 different HES solutions on tissue oxygenation and postoperative bleeding in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB). Methods: Forty four patients were prospectively enrolled. After the induction of anesthesia, either HES 130/0.4 (V group) or 200/0.5 (H group) were infused for fluid therapy to maintain predetermined urine output, cardiac index and filling pressure up to 16 h after the surgery. Tissue oxygenation profiles and respiratory parameters were recorded after induction of anesthesia, completion of distal anastomosis and sternum closure, upon admission at intensive care unit, and 4 h thereafter. The amounts of chest tube drainage, transfusion and fluid balance were measured up to 16 h after the surgery. Results: Patients` demographic data were similar between the groups. Tissue oxygenation profiles, respiratory parameters, hemodynamics, and time to extubate were not different between the groups. However, chest tube drainage and transfusion requirements were significantly less in the V group. Conclusions: In OPCAB, 6% HES 130/0.4 causes less postoperative bleeding and transfusion requirement and has a comparable efficacy on hemodynamic stability, pulmonary function and tissue oxygenation when compared to 6% HES 200/0.5. Atomism is physical and metaphysical doctrine that the world is made up of indivisible(a-tom) and imperceptible small material units. We review this doctrine and examine it physically in the light of quantum mechanics. From atomism, we elicit atomistical separability which says that properties of the whole system is determined by the properties of the parts. However, according to our argument, the atomistical separability cannot compatible with the formalism of quantum mechanics. In conclusion, atomism does not sustainable anymore, instead, holism of properties or things comes sound.

이 연구는 국립대학 총장선출제도의 현황을 살펴보고 쟁점을 분석하여, 쟁점 해결을 위한 향후 과제를 탐색적으로 제시하고자 하였다. 이러한 쟁점은 다음과 같은 과제를 통하여 해결할 수 있다고 보고 각 과제에 대한 정책적 제안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 교육부의 총장임용제청 거부는 위법적인 조치이고 권한을 남용하는 행위이기 때문에 총장임용절차를 정상화 하여야 한다. 둘째, 교육부가 주장하는 방식(총장간선제)으로 선출된 총장이 대학 구성원의 대표로서 자격이 있는지, 학내 구성원과의 갈등 없이 총장 역할을 잘 수행할 수 있을지 등 총장의 역할을 고민하고 재정립하여야 한다. 마지막으로, 총장선출과정에서 나타나는 갈등은 공동의 관심사에 대하여 서로 다른 관점을 가진 집단들이 각자의 의견을 내세우는 데에서 기인하므로, 상호 협력하여 다스려나가는 협력적 거버넌스를 구축해야 한다. This study aimed to examine current status of the president election system of national university, to analyze the issues, and to suggest some tasks for resolving the issues. The major suggestions of this article are as follows: First, The Ministry of Education(MOE) should designate candidate recommended by university as president. The president candidate is elected by university stake-holders based on the established procedures. So it is not justified and it’s illegal for to reject the recommendation of university president candidate. It should be criticized that MOE abused its authority as a wrong way. Second, redefinition of the roles of president should be made: Whether a president who is elected by the way that MOE insists(which is ‘in-direct way of electing president candidate’) could represent members of campus or not, and if he/she could perform well without making some conflicts among the members. Lastly, in order to manage and solve some conflicts concerning president election system of university, collaborative governance system should be constructed. The conflicts among campus members is resulted from different perspectives about common issues.
