Prolymphocytic leukemia (PLL), first described by Galton and colleagues in 1974, is a distinct clinicopathologic variant of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), PLL is characterized by marked splenomegaly, high WBC count, and minimal lymph node enlargement. About 20 per cent of PLL cases are of the T cell type and approximately 75 per cent of T-cell PLL cases have cells bearing the CD4 marker. We report a case of T-cell PLL with a helper cell phenotype in a 54-year-old male patient with a leukocyte count of 185×109/L.

A great deal of energy is necessary with emission of wastewater in dyeing and finishing process, but heat recovery from wastewater is not introduced since its technology is not developed yet. In order to obtain the method utilizing hot water produced by heat source, that is, dyeing wastewater is was investigated the characteristics of dyeing and finishing process and energy basic unit. Energy basic unit of polyester/cotton(T/C), polyester/rayon(T/R) and polyester dyeing process are higher than that of the other process. The average quantity of wastewater for each dyeing company is 650㎥/day, the average temperature of wastewater is about 35~45℃. Because the SS solutiuon of wastewater in polyester dyeing process is lower than that of the other process, the effect of corrosion in heat recovery system is low.
Reinforcing Performance of Networked Silicas in Silica-filled Chloroprene Rubber Compounds

The physical properties of chloroprene rubber (CR) compounds reinforced with networked silicas were investigated by comparing them to those reinforced with conventional silica to observe the effect of the organic connection bonds combining silica particles on their cure, tensile, and aging performance. The introduction of networked silica to CR increase in silica content to 80 phr in rubber, while the content of conventional silica was limited to 60 phr. The CR compounds reinforced with networked silica showed higher resistance to combustion. The gradual increases in delta torque, Mooney viscosity, and modulus of silica-filled CR compounds with silica content were mainly attributed to the specific interaction between the chlorine atoms of CR and the hydroxyl groups of silica. The CR compounds reinforced with networked silica showed low compression set and heat build-up and maintained their high modulus even after thermal, oil, and ozone aging.

Vapor-phase hydrogen peroxide(VPHP) has been used as a sterilant in the field of medical and pharmaceuticalapplication due to low corrosive than chlorine contained sterilant. In addition, it is well known that VPHP iseffective for decontamination of chemical warfare agents by adding ammonia gas. In this study, the decontaminationefficiency was confirmed about CEPS, DFP and dimethoate as simulants of HD, GD and VX using VPHP respectively. For this purpose, VPHP generated from self configured device was injected into decontamination chamber and maintainedfor reaction time. After the decontamination, the residues are analyzed by GC/MS and decontamination efficiencywas calculated. Through by-product for each simulants, the similarities in reaction mechanism of chemicalwarfare agents were confirmed. CEPS was completely decontaminated at 30% relative humidity within 60 min. By addingammonia gas, DFP and dimethoate were completely decontaminated within 30 and 150 min respectively.

When the nuclear power plant reaches the end of their lives, the whole machineries inside the containment vessels, aux. building, fuel handling building should be dismantled. To dismantle the nuclear equipments, a remote controlled cutting robot is useful. In this paper, the current status of the dismantling robots and new cutting robot mechanism was proposed. The main purpose of this system is to penetrate into the internals of the metal component. The slider which is located between the front and rear bodies propels the cutting manipulator. Extendable base to adjust the height, Angle changer for body bending, multi leg for fixing the position of dismantling components have been developed to control motions of the robot.

기존의 객체기술은 재사용성과 유지보수 측면에서 많은 문제를 안고 있다. 해결책으로 여러 가지가 제시되었으나 그 중 객체지향 프레임웍을 기반으로 하여 시스템의 복잡도와 급증하는 크기 그리고 개방형 시스템의 구축 시에 발생하는 여러 가지 난제를 해결하고자 하였다. 그러나 프레임웍 연구는, 대부분 컴포넌트나 객체단위의 재사용성을 극대화하는데 초점이 맞추어져 있어서 소프트웨어의 유연성(flexibility)에 관한 문제는 별로 다루어지지 않고 있는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문은 소프트웨어 시스템 아키텍쳐 수준에서와 유지보수 차원의 유연성을 확보하는 방안으로써 ‘핫 스팟 어댑터 모델’을 제안하고자 한다.

To evaluate the osteotoxic effect of methylmercuric chloride(MMC) on cultured mouse osteoblasts, cytotoxic effect was measured by MTT assay after cultured mouse osteoblasts were incubated with various concentrations of MMC for 20 hours. The protective effect of Flos Carthami(FC) against MMC-induced osteotoxicity was also examined in these cultures. MMC decreased cell viability of cultured mouse osteoblasts remarkably in a dose- and time-dependent manners. In protective effect of FC was remarkably effective in blocking the osteotoxicity induced by MMC. From aboved the results, it is suggested that MMC induce osteotoxicity, and the selective herba extract such as FC is very effective in blocking MMC-mediated neurotoxicity on cultured mouse osteoblasts.
