We review a many-body theory of megneto-optical conductivity for a system of electrons interacting with phonons which was introduced already by the present authors [Progr. Theor. Phys. 96, 307 (1996)]. The scattering factors appearing in the conductivity tensor are calculated in datail by the many-body technique.

Intraband Linewidths of the Optical Conductivity in Quantum Wells Due to LO Phonon Scattering

Based on the quantum statistical operator algebra technique, we derive new intraband linewidths for the optical conductivity in a system of electrons interacting with longitudinal optical (LO) phonons in a quantum well. The electron and phonon distribution functions are included in the line-shape function, so we can explain the phonon absorption and emission in an organized way for all the electron transition processes. The numerical result shows that the width decreases with the well width and increases with the temperature and that hole - LO phonon scattering dominate the broadening.

이 논문의 목적은 보통의 성인 한국인들의 비만과 체력 사이의 상관관계를 조사하고 나이가 듦에 따라 증가하는 비만을 줄이고 저하된 체력을 회복시키는 운동을 찾고자 하는 것이다. 이 논문은 2017년도에 한국인들의 체력을 평가한 한국체육진흥공단의 조사를 분석한 단면연구이다. 비만과 체력의 나이 의존성은 덩어리 평균(Lump mean value)과 회귀방법(regression method)을 사용하여 조사하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 새로운 비만지수(Waist-to-height ratio: WHT2R)가 노화의 영향을 조사하는데 체질량지수(Body mass index)보다 더 유용한 지수임을 발견하였다. 즉, 나이가 듦에 따라 체력이 저하하는 것은 남녀 모두 WHT2R의 증가와 관련됨을 발견하였다. 따라서 본 논문은 WHT2R을 줄이는 운동을 통해 체력을 강화할 것을 추천하고 비만을 줄이고 체력을 효과적으로 개선하고 개인적인 운동의 목표를 설정하는데 본 논문이 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Derivation of DC Conductivity in a Quantum Well by an Operator Algebra Technique

The dc conductivity for the direction parallel to the walls of a quasi-two-dimensional quantum well with a magnetic eld B = B^z applied normal to its barrier is obtained by using a quantum stastistical operator algebra technique. The electron and the phonon distribution functions are included in the relaxation rate, so all possible electron transitions, along with phonon absorptions and emissions, can be explained in an organized way. The numerical result shows that the width of the DC conductivity decreases with the well width and increases with the temperature.

Considering a sinusoidally varying blood pressure in left ventricle in Cho - Kensey's Windkessel model, we expressed the impedance elements in terms of the phase differences among the pressure and flow rates in the artery and the peripherical tubes. The relationships were further simplified for the real human cardiac system. We expect that the results would give some valuable information for examination and treatment in oriental medicine as well as in western medicine.
Comparison of Screening Effects in a Square Well and a Triangular Well

Screening effects on absorption powers for systems of electrons interacting with longitudinal optical phonons in quasi-two-dimensional quantum well structures are examined theoretically by using a quantum-statistical operator algebra technique. We find for GaN that the absorption power for both a square well and a triangular well is keenly affected by the screening in such a way that the power increases, but the width decreases, with the electron density.
