This paper shows the considerations of the control characteristics when the surface permanent magnet synchronous motor installed in an electric vehicle is controlled by direct torque control or current control type vector control. Current control type vector control is generally used as a control method of permanent magnet synchronous motor; however, that requires a rotor position detector, the rotating coordinate transformation, and current controller, which needs the gain adjustment. As a result, the controller configuration becomes complicated. In contrast, direct torque control does not require rotor position detector and current controller on the rotating coordinate system. Thus, position sensorless control can be realized more easily. In this research, the controller, which includes a three-phase voltage source inverter and controller board, of an electric vehicle was replaced in order to enable change of the motor control scheme. In addition, simulation verification, comparison of transient characteristics between two control schemes, was conducted. As a simulation result, vehicle speed characteristics of two schemes were almost same. However, the torque and the current of DTC have large ripple than those of vector control. Moreover, some experimental results are shown in this paper.

이 총설에서는 해양 연체동물 내 독소 분석을 하는 연구자들의 이해를 돕기 위하여, 국내에서 생산되거나 유통 되는 수산물 중 해양 생물독소에 오염될 수 있는 이매패류와 복족류 종들의 공식 명칭과 생태학적 특성을 소개하 였다. 또한 대표적인 생물군의 해부도를 통한 각 기관들의 위치와 공식적인 명칭을 알리고자 하였다. 향후 해양 생물독소 분석 관련 식품공전, 학술논문 및 보고서에 실험생물의 정확한 종명과 분석 기관의 명칭에 대한 통일 및 규격화가 필요하다. In order to aid the researchers who analyze the biotoxins in marine molluscs, this paper introduces the official names and ecological characteristics of the domestically produced or distributed bivalve and gastropods that can be contaminated with marine biotoxins. Also, the paper intends to inform the location and scientific name of each organ of the representative group of species through anatomical maps. In the future, it is necessary to standardize and normalize the names of the species and the research institutions in food codes, scholarly papers and reports on the marine biotoxin analysis.

Purpose: There has been no report of sex-specific, pediatric age-adjusted shock index (PASI) for pediatric trauma patients in pre vious studies. We aimed to determine the association between the PASI and in-hospital mortality of pediatric trauma patients and whether this association differs depending on sex. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective, multinational, and multicenter cohort study using the Pan-Asian Trauma Outcome Study (PATOS) registry in the Asia-Pacific region, conducted in pediatric patients who visited the participating hospitals. The main exposure of our study was abnormal (elevated) PASI measured in an emergency department. The main outcome was in-hospital mortality. We performed a multivariable logistic regression analysis to estimate the association between abnormal PASI and study outcomes after adjusting for potential confounders. An interaction analysis between PASI and sex was also conducted. Results: Of 6280 pediatric trauma patients, 10.9% (686) of the patients had abnormal PASI. In multivariable logistic regression analysis, abnormal PASI was significantly associated with increased in-hospital mortality [adjusted odds ratios (aOR), 1.74; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.13–2.47]. Abnormal PASI had interaction effects with sex for in-hospital mortality (aOR, 1.86; 95% CI, 1.19–2.91 and aOR, 1.38; 95% CI, 0.58–2.99 for male and female, respectively) (p<0.01). Conclusion: Abnormal PASI is associated with increased in-hospital mortality in pediatric trauma patients. The prediction power of PASI for in-hospital mortality was maintained only in male patients.

The bivalve Malleus regula ($Forssk{\aa}l$ in Niebuhr, 1775) is reported for the first time from Korea. This is the second species of Malleidae reported from this country. Since the species is quite variable, comparisons were made with the original description and descriptions in the literature; some taxonomic comments were also made. Global warming and possible changes in the northward-flowing Tsushima Current may account for the addition of new mollusk species to the island's fauna.

Background: Several studies have shown that better placement of the acetabular cup and femoral stem can be achieved in total hip arthroplasty (THA) by using the computer navigation system rather than the free-hand alignment methods. However, there have been no comparisons of the relevant clinical advantages in using the computer navigation as opposed to the manual intraoperative measurement devices. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of computer navigation can improve postoperative leg length discrepancy (LLD) compared to the use of the measurement device. Methods: We performed a retrospective study comparing 30 computer-assisted THAs with 40 THAs performed using a simple manual measurement device. Results: The postoperative LLD was 3.0 mm (range, 0 to 8 mm) in the computer-assisted group and 2.9 mm (range, 0 to 10 mm) in the device group. Statistically significant difference was not seen between the two groups. Conclusions: The results showed good equalization of the leg lengths using both computed tomography-based navigation and the simple manual measurement device.
