Tuberculosis, a chronic infectious granulomatous disease, is preumed to be quite a rare entity. Because of the development of chemotherapy and the improvement of nutritional conditions, incidence of tuberculosis have reduced. For these reasons, tuberculosis may be overlooked in the differential diagnosis whenever dealing with a submandibular swelling. Diagnosis of tuberculous lymphadenitis consists of historical data, physical findings, laboratory tests and histologic examination. The treatment of choice seems to be surgical excision and long term antituberculosis chemotherapy. Surgery provides a rapid tissue diagnosis, because the histological examination of the excisional biopsy is the most reliable diagnostic test. This is the report of a case of tuberculous cervical lymphadenitis on left submandibular area with no evidence of the involvement of lung.
Development of BPH Resistant Rice Variety for Environmental Friendly Cultivation

BPH(Brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens Stål) is a major insect of rice and give a lot of damages around Korea, Japan and East-West Asia. BPH often causes heavy losses of up to 60% of rice crop yields in susceptible cultivars. Especially, increase of the environmental friendly cultivation in South Korea has caused the outbreak of BPH rapidly. But few resistant varieties in Korea have known until now. Utilization of R genes in breeding programs has been the most effective and economical strategy for controlling insect resistance. It is reported that Bph1 gene is located on a long side of chromosome 12 and linked to bph2 among reported 18 R genes. BPH resistant "Iksan529" was derived from a cross between HR22538-GHB-36-4(bph2) and Iksan471 at Department of Rice and Winter Cereal Crop, NICS, RDA. Culm length of Iksan529 is 74cm and it shows moderate resistance to blast, and wide spectrum resistance to bacterial blight pathogen(K1, K2, K3) and stripe virus. Especially, Iksan529 was identified bph2 gene using KPM2(co-dominant CAPS marker) and KPM4(resistant-associated marker). When Iksan529 seedling were infested at 2nd and 3rd instar stages of BPH nymphs(Bio-type 1), it showed resistance at one month after infest. Iksan529 will be tested local adaptability for 3 years and deveoped for environmental friendly cultivation.

Near-isogenic lines (NILs) carrying bacterial blight resistance genes (Xa4, xa5 and Xa21) were developed in japonica rice using Suweon345 as genetic background. NILs were selected by gene specific DNA markers and inoculation of K1 or K3a race. NILs conferring Xa4 were resistant to K1, K2, K3, and moderately resistant to K3a. NILs conferring xa5 were resistant to K1, K2, K3, and K3a. NILs having Xa21 were susceptible to K1, while resistant to K2, K3 and K3a. Target genes of NILs with the genetic background of Suweon345 were also confirmed by using eleven Philippines races and International Rice Bacterial Blight (IRBB) NILs carrying Xa4, xa5 and Xa21. All NILs had no significant difference from their recurrent parents in the major agronomic traits except for panicle length and brown rice 1,000 grain weight. Heading date of NILs ranged from Aug. 10 to Aug. 11, which was similar to that of recurrent parent, Suweon345. Culm length, number of grains per panicle and ratio of ripened grain of NILs were similar to those of Suweon345. Milled rice of NILs was ranged from 4.82 to 4.93MT/ha. These NILs will be useful for improving resistance to K3a race of bacterial blight pathogens in Korean japonica cultivars.

<P>Flexible memory is the fundamental component for data processing, storage, and radio frequency communication in flexible electronic systems. Among several emerging memory technologies, phase-change random-access memory (PRAM) is one of the strongest candidate for next-generation nonvolatile memories due to its remarkable merits of large cycling endurance, high speed, and excellent scalability. Although there are a few approaches for flexible phase-change memory (PCM), high reset current is the biggest obstacle for the practical operation of flexible PCM devices. In this paper, we report a flexible PCM realized by incorporating nanoinsulators derived from a Si-containing block copolymer (BCP) to significantly lower the operating current of the flexible memory formed on plastic substrate. A modern industrial society is presently considering not only cultural life but also health promotion to enhance the quality of life. There are many ways to enjoy the wellbeing life. Especially, ice-skating has been focused on as leisure sports with many remarkable advantages. Even though ice-skating was recognized as winter sport, nowadays people enjoyed skating are increased more and more because of indoor ice link. So, construction of indoor ice link has been boomed up. However, The techniques of ice link freezing system are insufficient because the ice link freezing system on the local construction was designed by advanced country techniques. So, this study has been conducted to analyze the air conditioning and refrigeration system in existing local ice link to suggest the design method of ice link.
Case Report : Successful pregnancy and delivery of a patient with congenital adrenal hyperplasia

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) during pregnancy is a rare condition. Only a few cases have been reported in the literature. CAH patients has lower pregnancy rate compared to normal women. A 27-year-old nulliparous woman, a diagnosed case of 21-hydroxylase deficient simple virilising form of classic CAH visited. She got pregnant spontaneously without any trial of assisted reproductive technology. At the age of 12, she underwent clitoral resection and vaginoplasty. She took dexamethasone or prednisolone after operation. She delivered healthy singleton female baby by cesarean section. Four years later, she delivered healthy singleton female baby by repeat cesarean section. Two female babies have shown normal external genitalia. Here, we report a case of successful pregnancy and delivery in a patient with CAH.
