Dislocation Density-Based Constitutive Model and Processing Map for T2 Copper During Isothermal and Time-Variant Deformation

        Gang Chen,Yu Jin,Jing Wang,Cheng Zhang,Qiang Chen,Hongming Zhang,Xingjian Zhao,Zhiyong Li,Changhai Xie,Zhiming Du 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.9

Isothermal compression tests were carried out to study the hot deformation behavior of T2 copper under various conditions. The deformation parameters, such as temperature and strain rate, have strong influence on flow stress and microstructureevolution of the alloy. A unified dislocation density-based model considering dynamic recovery and recrystallization wasestablished. And material parameters of the developed model were optimized by genetic algorithm. Comparisons betweenthe experimental and model data demonstrates that the developed model can precisely describe the flow behavior at quitewide range of deformation conditions. Meanwhile, the designed iterative procedure allows the model to be applied in timevariantdeformation conditions. Processing map and microstructure examination were constructed to optimize the processingwindow of the studied alloy. According to the processing maps, flow instability mainly appeared at low temperatures of500–650 °C and strain rates higher than 0.1 s−1. The optimum deformation parameters of T2 copper was concluded as thetemperature range of 700–800 °C and the strain rate of 0.1–1 s−1.

Breviscapine Ameliorates Fear Extinction and Anxiety in BALB/cJ Mice

        Wei Liang(Wei Liang),Jing Huang(Jing Huang),Shuya Yang(Shuya Yang),Peng Huang(Peng Huang),Jun Chen(Jun Chen),Chen Chen(Chen Chen),Qun Yang(Qun Yang),Fengzhan Li(Fengzhan Li) 대한신경정신의학회 2023 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.20 No.3

Objective In this research, the influence of breviscapine on anxiety, fear elimination, and aggression and the potential mechanism was investigated. Methods Anxiety and locomotion were analyzed by elevated plus maze and open field test in mice. Bussey-Saksida Mouse Touch Screen Chambers were used to perform fear conditioning. Territorial aggression was assessed by resident intruder test. Protein levels were evaluated by Western blot. Breviscapine improved fear-extinction learning in BALB/cJ mice. Results Breviscapine at 20-100 mg/kg increased center cross number, total distance traveled, and velocity in a dose-dependent manner. On the other hand, breviscapine at 20-100 mg/kg decreased the immobility time in open field test. In addition, breviscapine at 20-100 mg/kg increased the ratio of time on the open arm, time on the distal parts of the open arm, and total distance traveled in elevated plus maze. Breviscapine at 100 mg/kg increased the average attack latency and decreased the number of attacks over the last 3 days of resident intruder test. In hippocampus, protein levels of postsynaptic density protein-95 and synaptophysin were elevated by breviscapine at these three doses. Conclusion The administration of breviscapine alleviates fear extinction, anxiety, and aggression, while increases locomotor in a dose-dependent manner, which might be associated with its influence on synaptic function.

      • TNM Stages and Prognostic Features of Colorectal and Mucinous Adenocarcinoma Patients: a Meta Analysis

        Chen, Jing-Xiang,Tang, Xu-Dong,Xiang, De-Bing,Dong, Xiao-Ling,Peng, Fang-Yi,Sun, Gui-Yin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.7

Aim: The significance of the mucinous adenocarcinoma in TNM staging and prognosis for colorectal tumor patients is still controversial. The aim was to provide a meta-analysis for TNM staging and prognostic features of colorectal tumors. Methods: 30 individual case-control studies were finally included into this meta-analysis, involving a total of 444,489 cancer cases and 45,050 mucinous adenocarcinomas, of relations with TNM staging and prognostic features. Results: Compared to non-mucinous adenocarcinoma patients, the TNM IV stage accounted for a larger percentage of mucinous adenocarcinomas (OR=1.48, 95%CI 1.28-1.71, POR<0.001) and the prognosis was significantly poor (HR=1.06, 95%CI 1.04-1.08, P<0.001). After heterogeneity testing, the results was similar to the holistic approach outcome (HR=1.48, 95%CI 1.35-1.62, P<0.001). Conclusion: Compared to patients with non-mucinous adenocarcinomas, mucinous adenocarcinoma patients with later TNM staging make up a big percentage, and mucinous adenocarcinoma is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis.

Diabetic Cardiomyopathy and Its Prevention by Nrf2: Current Status

        Jing Chen,Zhiguo Zhang,Lu Cai 대한당뇨병학회 2014 Diabetes and Metabolism Journal Vol.38 No.5

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), as one of the major cardiac complications in diabetic patients, is known to related with oxidative stress that is due to a severe imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and/or reactive nitrogen species (RNS) generation and their clearance by antioxidant defense systems. Transcription factor nuclear factor NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) plays an important role in maintaining the oxidative homeostasis by regulating multiple downstream antioxidants. Diabetes may up-regulate several antioxidants in the heart as a compensative mechanism at early stage, but at late stage, diabetes not only generates extra ROS and/or RNS but also impairs antioxidant capacity in the heart, including Nrf2. In an early study, we have established that Nrf2 protect the cardiac cells and heart from high level of glucose in vitro and hyperglycemia in vivo, and in the following study demonstrated the significant down-regulation of cardiac Nrf2 expression in diabetic animals and patients. Using Nrf2-KO mice or Nrf2 inducers, blooming evidence has indicated the important protection by Nrf2 from cardiac pathogenesis in the diabetes. Therefore, this brief review summarizes the status of studies on Nrf2’s role in preventing DCM and even other complications, the need for new and safe Nrf2 inducer screening and the precaution for the undesirable side of Nrf2 under certain conditions.

Green lipped mussel oil complex suppresses lipopolysaccharide stimulated inflammation via regulating nuclear factor-κB and mitogen activated protein kinases signaling in RAW264.7 murine macrophages

        Jing Chen,Cheng Bao,조세행,이홍진 한국식품과학회 2017 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.26 No.3

Here we investigated the effect of green lipped mussel oil complex (GLMOC) on inflammation and underlying mechanism in lipopolysaccharide stimulated RAW264.7 murine macrophage cells. GLMOC containing green lipped mussel oil (GLMO), olive oil, and vitamin E (10:20:1) can induce significant suppression of iNOS, leading to reduced nitric oxide synthesis, and cyclooxygenase- 2, leading to reduced prostaglandin E2 synthesis. In addition, it down-regulated the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-a, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1b. Similar to upstream signaling mediators, GLMCO inhibited the degradation of inhibitory jB, nuclear translocation of NF-jB, and phosphorylation of mitogen activated protein kinases (MAPKs) in a dose-dependent manner. Among the components of GLMOC, GLMO was responsible for anti-inflammatory efficacy. Taken together, GLMOC induces anti-inflammatory activity via regulating NF-jB and MAPK signaling in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW264.7 cells, providing underlying mechanisms that elucidate the anti-inflammatory efficacy of GLMOC.

Mitochondrial genomes of the Dorcus velutinus complex (Coleoptera: Lucanidae) with the large intergenic spacer showing unique short sequence repeats and their implications for systematics

        Chen Yong-Jing,Kim Sangil,Wan Xia 한국응용곤충학회 2021 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.24 No.1

Mitochondrial genomes of the three lucanid species in the Dorcus velutinus complex – Dorcus velutinus Thomson, D. ursulus Arrow and D. tenuihirsutus Kim and Kim – were assembled and analyzed through next generation sequencing. The mitogenome sequences were used to infer phylogenetic relationships among Dorcus species. Our analyses revealed that the newly sequenced mitogenomes are comparable in their size, content, and gene arrangement to other lucanid mitogenomes reported to date. However, we confirmed the presence of a large intergenic spacer (IGS) between trnS (UCN) and ND1 genes, whose length varied from 170 bp (in D. tenuihirsutus) to 193 bp (in D. ursulus and D. velutinus). Within this IGS region, a short sequence fragment (TACTAAATT) was found uniquely across the three species of Dorcus velutinus complex. Our phylogenetic analyses show that the D. velutinus complex constitutes a distinct clade with a significant divergence from other species of the genus Dorcus sensu stricto. Furthermore, we reaffirm the validity of D. tenuihirsutus – a species originally described from Korea – as a distinct species, though the taxonomic status of D. ursulus remains to be studied further. Finally, we find the presence and location of large IGSs to be useful for studying evolutionary history and species delimi tation in stag beetles.

      • Process Backtracking and Reconstruction based on Task Chain Model

Jing Chen,Dewen Seng,Xujian Fang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.9 No.4

Fundamental information of the design unit is described using the correlation between the nodes in the task chain. Data transfer between design units is formulated as fundamental data transfer, design rule transfer and path scheme transfer, respectively. The design process is stored with the node as the unit by using the algorithm for decomposing correlated nodes. The reconstruction method is employed to eliminate the redundant nodes that exist in various previous design processes, alleviating the degree of coupling. The performance of the proposed scheme is verified by applying it to the development of the low-voltage appliance.

Ag Nanoparticles Decorated N-Doped Carbon Black as a High-Performance Catalyst for Catalytic Hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol

        Jing Chen,Yanting Gao,Yongsheng Fu,Shugang Pan 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2019 NANO Vol.14 No.8

Ag nanoparticles decorated N-doped carbon black with different Ag content was synthesized via a straightforward method. The catalysts have been conducted in the catalytic hydrogenation of nitrophenols in the presence of sodium borohydride. The results show that Ag4/NCB possesses the highest catalytic activity for the catalytic hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol (p-NP) to p-aminophenol (p-AP). The significant enhancement in catalytic activity can be attributed to the high dispersity and smaller size of Ag nanoparticles, and remarkable synergistic effect of the combination of Ag nanoparticles and N-doped carbon black.
