Dislocation Density-Based Constitutive Model and Processing Map for T2 Copper During Isothermal and Time-Variant Deformation

        Gang Chen,Yu Jin,Jing Wang,Cheng Zhang,Qiang Chen,Hongming Zhang,Xingjian Zhao,Zhiyong Li,Changhai Xie,Zhiming Du 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.9

Isothermal compression tests were carried out to study the hot deformation behavior of T2 copper under various conditions. The deformation parameters, such as temperature and strain rate, have strong influence on flow stress and microstructureevolution of the alloy. A unified dislocation density-based model considering dynamic recovery and recrystallization wasestablished. And material parameters of the developed model were optimized by genetic algorithm. Comparisons betweenthe experimental and model data demonstrates that the developed model can precisely describe the flow behavior at quitewide range of deformation conditions. Meanwhile, the designed iterative procedure allows the model to be applied in timevariantdeformation conditions. Processing map and microstructure examination were constructed to optimize the processingwindow of the studied alloy. According to the processing maps, flow instability mainly appeared at low temperatures of500–650 °C and strain rates higher than 0.1 s−1. The optimum deformation parameters of T2 copper was concluded as thetemperature range of 700–800 °C and the strain rate of 0.1–1 s−1.

Comparative Study on Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi by D.Natsagdorj and Beijing Opera The Three Hill

        Chen, Gang-long 한국몽골학회 2008 몽골학 Vol.0 No.25

The Mongolian opera Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi (means the three hill) is one of the most famous works written by D.Natsagdorj(1906-1937), the founder of Modern literature of Mongolia. The story of original Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi, a four-acts opera finished in 1934 by D.Natsagdorji is not so intricate, the main characters are Yunden (M), Nansalmaa (F), Balgan(M) and Khorolmaa(F). In first act, Yunden and Nansalmaa determined to get married and Yunden went for Khuree to buy goods. Unfortunately, Nansalmaa encountered noble Balgan, and was taken to his home to marry him violently. In second act, Nansalmaa expects Yunden day and night to come and rescue her. Yunden finally arrived and met Nansalmaa, but was beaten by Balgan and get injured. Khorolmaa took Yunden back her home to took care of and asked Yunden to marry her. Yunden didn’t agree. In act three, Nansalmaa escaped out and met Yunden when Balgan compled her to marry him. Khorolmaa colluded with Balgan to hit Yunden and took away Nansalmaa again. On the contrary, Khorolmaa became the “benefactor” who saved Balgan. And in act four, Nansalmaa came to see Yunden by fleeing. Balgan and his companion killed Yunden. Nansanlmaa sacrificed herself in sadness. After the passing away of D.Natsagdorji, Ts.Damdinsuren rewrote the Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi in 1943, and changed the tragedy into comedy. The opera ends with the success of Yunden and Nansalmaa fight against the governors. Along with the development of cultural relation between China and Mongolia, in June 1956 was played Beijing Opera The Three Hill, reform of Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi done by famous playwriter Junhong Fan (1916-1986) in Beijing, China. This is a very good example of acceptance of Chinese people towards D.Natsagdorji and his opera Uchir-tai Gurvan Tolgoi, and it has significant academic value in the study of writer D.Natsagdorji and spread of his works in abroad. Construction and Characterization of a Full-length cDNA Library and Identification of Genes Involved in Salinity Stress in Wild Eggplant (Solanum torvum Swartz)

        Gang Chen,Hua Wang,Jun-Yi Gai,Yue-Lin Zhu,Li-Fei Yang,Qian-Qian Liu,Gong-Chen Zhang,Guo-Hu Chen 한국원예학회 2012 Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology Vol.53 No.2

The objectives of this paper were to construct a full-length cDNA library and to isolate genes that confer salt tolerance from the leaves of salinity-tolerant wild eggplant variety, ‘Torvum Vigor’ (Solanum torvum Swartz). A full-length cDNA library from the leaves was successfully constructed by a switching mechanism at 5’-end of RNA transcript (SMART) approach and a long-distance PCR (LD-PCR) technique. The titer of the primary cDNA library was 3.6 ×106 cfu・mL-1 and that of the amplified library was 1.2 × 1010 cfu・mL-1. Gel electrophoresis results showed that most of the cDNA inserts ranged from 0.40 to 2.5 kb, with a recombination rate of 99%. A total of 427 randomly selected positive clones were sequenced. After removing the unsuccessful reads, 364 datasets were obtained and have been submitted to the NCBI Nucleotide Sequence Database under GenBank accession numbers JK265131-JK265494. Among the 364 submitted sequences, 74.45% of them contained full-length coding regions. BLASTX analysis revealed that 62.36% of the ‘Torvum Vigor’ expressed sequence tags (ESTs) possessed homology to known or putative proteins of other organisms. Seven genes that might be responsible for the encoding of known proteins in other organisms were identified to confer salt tolerance. This evidence demonstrated that the cDNA library constructed was a full-length library of high quality. It could be a useful resource for further research in the cloning of stress-related genes, which could be utilized in the genetic improvement of vegetable crops using transgenic technology.

Retrospective Electrocardiography-Gated Real-Time Cardiac Cine MRI at 3T: Comparison with Conventional Segmented Cine MRI

        Chen Cui,Gang Yin,Minjie Lu,Xiuyu Chen,Sainan Cheng,Lu Li,Weipeng Yan,Yanyan Song,Sanjay Prasad,Yan Zhang,Shihua Zhao 대한영상의학회 2019 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.20 No.1

Objective: Segmented cardiac cine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the gold standard for cardiac ventricular volumetric assessment. In patients with difficulty in breath-holding or arrhythmia, this technique may generate images with inadequate quality for diagnosis. Real-time cardiac cine MRI has been developed to address this limitation. We aimed to assess the performance of retrospective electrocardiography-gated real-time cine MRI at 3T for left ventricular (LV) volume and mass measurement. Materials and Methods: Fifty-one patients were consecutively enrolled. A series of short-axis cine images covering the entire left ventricle using both segmented and real-time balanced steady-state free precession cardiac cine MRI were obtained. End-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), stroke volume (SV), ejection fraction (EF), and LV mass were measured. The agreement and correlation of the parameters were assessed. Additionally, image quality was evaluated using European CMR Registry (Euro-CMR) score and structure visibility rating. Results: In patients without difficulty in breath-holding or arrhythmia, no significant difference was found in Euro-CMR score between the two techniques (0.3 ± 0.7 vs. 0.3 ± 0.5, p > 0.05). Good agreements and correlations were found between the techniques for measuring EDV, ESV, EF, SV, and LV mass. In patients with difficulty in breath-holding or arrhythmia, segmented cine MRI had a significant higher Euro-CMR score (2.3 ± 1.2 vs. 0.4 ± 0.5, p < 0.001). Conclusion: Real-time cine MRI at 3T allowed the assessment of LV volume with high accuracy and showed a significantly better image quality compared to that of segmented cine MRI in patients with difficulty in breath-holding and arrhythmia.

        上海自貿區司法保障制度之建設

        ( Gang Chen ) 제주대학교 법과정책연구소 2014 국제법무 Vol.6 No.2

The reform of China (Shanghai) free trade zone needs to be secured by a relevant legal framework. However, the free trade zone will initially only be a trial for two to three years, as per the “Overall Plan" which is the legal base for the construction of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. Due to the strict and time-consuming of legislative procedures in China, the establishment of relevant legal framework for the free trade zone would be lagging. Under this circumstance, if the court system waited for all legislations being established, the development of free trade zone would lack any legal protection. As a result, the process of the free trade zone reform might well be blocked. Therefore, the current legal system needs to be adaptive to the new environment; to strive a balance between the resistivity and effectiveness and between the market autonomy and nation control, as well as business freedom and transaction security. In doing so would provide effective legal protection in the free trade zone. The priority for the legal system is to address new legal issues that require legal reform in the free trade zone. Only then could the free trade zone be successfully set up.

Strong Roman Domination in Grid Graphs

Chen, Xue-Gang,Sohn, Moo Young Department of Mathematics 2019 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.59 No.3

Consider a graph G of order n and maximum degree ${\Delta}$. Let $f:V(G){\rightarrow}\{0,1,{\cdots},{\lceil}{\frac{{\Delta}}{2}}{\rceil}+1\}$ be a function that labels the vertices of G. Let $B_0=\{v{\in}V(G):f(v)=0\}$. The function f is a strong Roman dominating function for G if every $v{\in}B_0$ has a neighbor w such that $f(w){\geq}1+{\lceil}{\frac{1}{2}}{\mid}N(w){\cap}B_0{\mid}{\rceil}$. In this paper, we study the bounds on strong Roman domination numbers of the Cartesian product $P_m{\square}P_k$ of paths $P_m$ and paths $P_k$. We compute the exact values for the strong Roman domination number of the Cartesian product $P_2{\square}P_k$ and $P_3{\square}P_k$. We also show that the strong Roman domination number of the Cartesian product $P_4{\square}P_k$ is between ${\lceil}{\frac{1}{3}}(8k-{\lfloor}{\frac{k}{8}}{\rfloor}+1){\rceil}$ and ${\lceil}{\frac{8k}{3}}{\rceil}$ for $k{\geq}8$, and that both bounds are sharp bounds.

TREES WITH EQUAL STRONG ROMAN DOMINATION NUMBER AND ROMAN DOMINATION NUMBER

Chen, Xue-Gang,Sohn, Moo Young Korean Mathematical Society 2019 대한수학회보 Vol.56 No.1

A graph theoretical model called Roman domination in graphs originates from the historical background that any undefended place (with no legions) of the Roman Empire must be protected by a stronger neighbor place (having two legions). It is applicable to military and commercial decision-making problems. A Roman dominating function for a graph G = (V, E) is a function $f:V{\rightarrow}\{0,1,2\}$ such that every vertex v with f(v)=0 has at least a neighbor w in G for which f(w)=2. The Roman domination number of a graph is the minimum weight ${\sum}_{v{\in}V}\;f(v)$ of a Roman dominating function. In order to deal a problem of a Roman domination-type defensive strategy under multiple simultaneous attacks, ${\acute{A}}lvarez$-Ruiz et al. [1] initiated the study of a new parameter related to Roman dominating function, which is called strong Roman domination. ${\acute{A}}lvarez$-Ruiz et al. posed the following problem: Characterize the graphs G with equal strong Roman domination number and Roman domination number. In this paper, we construct a family of trees. We prove that for a tree, its strong Roman dominance number and Roman dominance number are equal if and only if the tree belongs to this family of trees.

TOTAL DOMINATION NUMBER OF CENTRAL TREES

        Chen, Xue-Gang,Sohn, Moo Young,Wang, Yu-Feng Korean Mathematical Society 2020 대한수학회보 Vol.57 No.1

Let γt(G) and τ(G) denote the total domination number and vertex cover number of graph G, respectively. In this paper, we study the total domination number of the central tree C(T) for a tree T. First, a relationship between the total domination number of C(T) and the vertex cover number of tree T is discussed. We characterize the central trees with equal total domination number and independence number. Applying the first result, we improve the upper bound on the total domination number of C(T) and solve one open problem posed by Kazemnejad et al..
