Two different wet etching solutions, NaOH 40% and Acid, were used for etching in tri-crystalline Silicon(Tri-Si) solar cell fabrication. The wafers etched in NaOH40% solution showed higher reflectance compared to the wafers etched in Acid solution after SiN_x deposition. In light current-voltage results, the cells etched in Acid solution exhibited higher short circuit current and open circuit voltage than those of the cells etched in NaOH 40% solution. We have obtained 16.70% conversion efficiency in large area(156cm²) Tri-Si solar cells etched in Acid solution.

Purpose: Breast conserving surgery using mesh can effectively fill the defective space, but there is the risk of infection. Methods: From June 2007 to August 2010, 243 patients who underwent breast conserving surgery with polyglactin 910 mesh insert for breast cancer at our institution were retrospectively studied. Results: Infection occurred in 25 (10.3%) of 243 patients. When comparing the infection and non-infection groups in multivariate analysis, there was no significant difference in age, underlying disease, preoperative biopsy methods, mass location, axillary lymph node dissection, operative methods, neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy use, mass size and removed breast volume. The infection appeared more common only in patients with body mass index (BMI) greater than 25. Infection symptoms occurred, on average, 119.5 days after surgery, and the average duration of the required treatment was 34.4 days. Out of 25 patients with postoperative infection complications, 16 (64%) patients underwent incision and drainage with mesh removal, whereas the remaining 9 (36%) only required conservative treatment. Conclusion: During breast conserving surgery, the risk of infection is increased in patients with high BMI, and should be taken into account when considering insertion of a polyglactin 910 mesh. Patient’s age, underlying disease and perioperative treatment methods were not significant risk factors for developing mesh infection. Given that most infections seem to develop symptoms one month after surgery, a long enough observation period should be initiated. Early detection and appropriate conservative treatments may effectively address infections, thus reducing the need for more invasive therapies.

Purpose: Previous estimates of the cause- and age-specific frequency of pediatric meningitis in Korea were mainly derived from single- and multi-center studies. Herein, we used data on the number of cases of bacterial and viral meningitis from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service database to examine time- and sex-related trends. Methods: We extracted data on meningitis diagnoses registered in the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service from 2009 to 2017, using Korean Standard Classification of Disease and Cause of Death codes. Information on 202,254 children aged 0 to 18 years was extracted. Detailed demographic and disease information was available for 84,543 children who underwent hospitalization. Results: Among all hospitalized patients, 2166, 36,155, and 46,192 children were diagnosed with bacterial, viral, or other types of meningitis, respectively. There were 30 cases of fungal meningitis and another 30 cases of meningitis attributable to other pathogens. The number of cases of bacterial and viral meningitis was highest among infants (1,087 [50.2%]) and patients in their early childhood (12,949 [35.9%]), respectively. Meningitis outbreaks were most likely to occur during the summer, and boys were more susceptible to meningitis than girls. The following pathogens most commonly caused infant meningitis: group B Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, and type B Haemophilus influenzae. Conclusion: This study reports the number of pediatric meningitis cases, stratified by age, disease type, and month/year. The present findings contribute to a better understanding of pediatric meningitis in Korea and provide a foundation for future research to identify the risk factors for this disease.
태양전지 응용을 위한 PECVD 실리콘 질화막 증착 및 열처리 최적화

Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD) is a well established technique for the deposition of hydrogenated film of silicon nitride (SiNx:H), which is commonly used as an antireflection coating as well as passivating layer in crystalline silicon solar cell. PECVD-SiNx:H films were investigated by varying the deposition and annealing conditions to optimize for the application in silicon solar cells. By varying the gas ratio (ammonia to silane), the silicon nitride films of refractive indices 1.85 - 2.45 were obtained. The film deposited at $450^{\circ}C$ showed the best carrier lifetime through the film deposition rate was not encouraging. The film deposited with the gas ratio of 0.57 showed the best carrier lifetime after annealing at a temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. The single crystalline silicon solar cells fabricated in conventional industrial production line applying the optimized film deposition and annealing conditions on large area substrate of size $125mm{\times}125mm$ (pseudo square) was found to have the conversion efficiencies as high as 17.05 %. Low cost and high efficiency silicon solar cells fabrication sequence has also been explained in this paper.
경영 시뮬레이션 게임에서 PPO 알고리즘을 적용한 강화학습의 유용성에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 경영 시뮬레이션 게임 분야에서 강화학습을 적용하여 게임 에이전트들이 자율적으로 주어진 목표를 달성하는지를 확인하고자 한다. 본 시스템에서는 Unity Machine Learning (ML) Agent 환경에서 PPO (Proximal Policy Optimization) 알고리즘을 적용하여 게임 에이전트가 목표를 달성하기 위해 자동으로 플레이 방법을 찾도록 설계하였다. 그 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 5가지의 게임 시나리오 시뮬레이션 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 게임 에이전트가 다양한 게임 내 환경 변수의 변화에도 학습을 통하여 목표를 달성한다는 것을 확인하였다. In this paper, we apply reinforcement learning in the field of management simulation game to check whether game agents achieve autonomously given goal. In this system, we apply PPO (Proximal Policy Optimization) algorithm in the Unity Machine Learning (ML) Agent environment and the game agent is designed to automatically find a way to play. Five game scenario simulation experiments were conducted to verify their usefulness. As a result, it was confirmed that the game agent achieves the goal through learning despite the change of environment variables in the game.
Polymorphisms in telomere maintenance genes and risk of lung cancer.

<P>This study was conducted to comprehensively evaluate the associations between polymorphisms in telomere maintenance genes (TERT, TRF1, TNKS1, TRF2, RAP1, and POT1) and lung cancer risk. We captured 35 polymorphisms in the genes and determined their frequencies in 27 healthy Koreans. Ten haplotype-tagging polymorphisms were examined in a case-control study that consisted of 720 lung cancer patients and 720 healthy controls. The TERT rs2735940 g.C > T and rs2736098 g.G > A, and TNKS1 rs6985140 g.A > G were significantly associated with the risk of lung cancer. In the haplotype analysis, the TERT rs2735940T/rs2736098A haplotype (ht4) was associated with a significantly increased risk of lung cancer compared with the rs2735940C/rs2736098G haplotype (adjusted odds ratio, 1.26; 95% confidence interval, 1.07-1.50; P = 0.008). When the TERT ht4 and TNKS1 rs6985140G as risk alleles, the risk of lung cancer increased in a dose-dependent manner as the number of risk alleles increased (P(trend) < 0.001). Subjects with two to four risk alleles were at a significantly increased risk of lung cancer (adjusted odds ratio, 1.67; 95% confidence interval, 1.23-2.27; P = 0.001) compared with subjects with zero risk allele. These findings suggest that genetic variants in the TERT and TNKS1 genes contribute to genetic susceptibility to lung cancer.</P>

<P><B><I>Objective.</I></B> The purpose of this study was to analyze the sealing ability of different temporary endodontic materials over a 6-week period using a glucose penetration model. <B><I>Materials and methods.</I></B> Standardized holes were formed on 48 dentin discs from human premolars. The thicknesses of the specimens were distributed evenly to 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm. Prepared dentin specimens were randomly assigned into six groups (<I>n</I> = 7) and the holes in the dentin specimens were filled with two kinds of temporary filling materials as per the manufacturers’ instructions as follows: Caviton (GC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm and IRM (Dentsply International Inc., Milford, DE) 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm. The remaining specimens were used as positive and negative controls and all specimens underwent thermocycling (1000; 5-55°C). The sealing ability of all samples was evaluated using the leakage model for glucose. The samples were analyzed by a spectrophotometer in quantitative glucose microleakage test over a period of 6 weeks. As a statistical inference, a mixed effect analysis was applied to analyze serial measurements over time. <B><I>Results.</I></B> The Caviton groups showed less glucose penetration in comparison with the IRM groups. The Caviton 4 mm group demonstrated relatively low glucose leakage over the test period. High glucose leakage was detected throughout the test period in all IRM groups. The glucose leakage level increased after 1 week in the Caviton 2 mm group and after 4 weeks in the Caviton 3 mm and 4 mm groups (<I>p</I> < 0.05). <B><I>Conclusions.</I></B> Caviton had better sealing ability than IRM in the glucose penetration model during 6 weeks. Temporary filling of Caviton to at least 3 mm in thickness is necessary and temporary filling periods should not exceed 4 weeks.</P>
The Improvement of the Data Overlapping Phenomenon with Memory Accessing Mode

Mobile phones use the embedded memory in LDI (LCD Driver IC). In memory accessing mode, data overlapping phenomenon can occur. These days, various contents such as DMB, Camera, Game are merged to phone. Accordingly, with more data transmission, there would be more data overlapping phenomenon in memory accessing mode. Human eyes perceive this data overlapping phenomenon as simply horizontal line noise. The cause of the data overlapping phenomenon was analysed in this paper. The data overlapping phenomenon can be changed by the speed of data transmission between the host and LDI. The optimum memory accessing position can be defined. This paper proposes a new algorithm for avoiding data overlapping.
