        In-mold injection molding system is generally an advanced version of the injection molding system. The injection, printing and coating processes of In-mold injection molding take place simultaneously. The technology is mostly used in home appliances, electronic goods and cell phones. For this research we applied the In-mold technique for injection molding and process of 3D nurb-surfaces. We performed the computer simulation of injection molding to optimize the In-mold processes and identified the credibility of the products through performance evaluation.

        해외 테스트베드 지역 아리랑 위성 3호 DSM 성능평가

        본 연구의 목적은 해외 테스트베드 지역에서 제작된 아리랑 3호 DSM의 성능을 비교 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 미국 샌프란시스코 지역을 촬영한 아리랑 3호 in-track(동일 궤도) stereo(입체) 영상을 수집하였다. 촬영된 영상의 스테레오 기하 요소는(B/H, convergence angle 등) 모두 안정적 범위에 있음을 확인하였다. 지상 기준점을 이용한 정밀 센서모델링과 DSM 자동 생성 기법을 적용하여, 1 m 해상도의 DSM을 제작하였다. 평가 및 보정을 위한 참조 자료는 Airbus에서 상용 판매하고 있는 1 m 해상도의 Elevation1 DSM 제품과 Compass Data Inc.에서 실측한 0.01 m 이내 정확도의 지상점이다. 아리랑 3호의 정밀 센서 모델링 정확도는 수평 및 수직 방향으로 0.5 m (RMSE) 이내를 나타냈다. 생성된 DSM과 참조 DSM 사이의 difference map을 작성하였을 때, 평균과 표준 편차는 각각 0.61 m와 5.25 m로 유사한 정확도를 나타냈으나, 일부 지역에서는 100 m 이상의 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 지역은 초 고층 건물의 밀집지역의 폐색 지역에서 주로 나타났다. 향후, 아리랑 3호 tri-stereo 영상의 활용과 다양한 후처리 기법이 개발된다면 보다 향상된 품질의 DSM 생성이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the performance of KOMPSAT-3 Digital Surface Model (DSM) made in overseas testbed area. To that end, we collected the KOMPSAT-3 intrack stereo image taken in San Francisco, the U.S. The stereo geometry elements (B/H, converse angle, etc.) of the stereo image taken were all found to be in the stable range. By applying precise sensor modeling using Ground Control Point (GCP) and DSM automatic generation technique, DSM with 1 m resolution was produced. Reference materials for evaluation and calibration are ground points with accuracy within 0.01 m from Compass Data Inc., 1 m resolution Elevation 1-DSM produced by Airbus. The precision sensor modeling accuracy of KOMPSAT-3 was within 0.5 m (RMSE) in horizontal and vertical directions. When the difference map was written between the generated DSM and the reference DSM, the mean and standard deviation were 0.61 m and 5.25 m respectively, but in some areas, they showed a large difference of more than 100 m. These areas appeared mainly in closed areas where highrise buildings were concentrated. If KOMPSAT-3 tri-stereo images are used and various post-processing techniques are developed, it will be possible to produce DSM with more improved quality.

        생쥐 배아의 체외배양시 저농도 산소 환경이 배아 발달에 미치는 영향

        Objective: It is known that mouse embryos before implantation develop in a low oxygen environment of 3- 8% concentration and with antioxidant materials such as vitamins, antioxidant enzymes, ferrous binding proteins, and albumin in follicular and tubal fluids. However, the 20% oxygen culture condition with chemically defined media might be produce an abundance of ROS, and leads to developmental delay or developmental block in vitro. In this study, we attempt to elucidate the relationship between intracellular H2O2 production and embryo development in different oxygen culture conditions of mouse embryos. Methods: Prenuclear embryos from C57BL/CBA Fl hybrid and ICR mouse were cultured in incubators which provided 5% carbon dioxide, 20% oxygen and 5% carbon dioxide, 5% oxygen. Measurement of H2O2 level in a embryo was performed with DCHFDA(2,7 -dichlorodihydroflourescein diacetate)and analyzed with Quanti-cell 700, and the number of blastomeres was counted with DAPI( 4, 6'-diamidino-2-phenylindole). Results: Oxygen concentration of the culture medias was significantly higher in the 20% oxygen environment compared to that of 5% oxygen environment. Culture of mice embryos in high oxygen condition leads to high HO concentrations at 2 cell stage and developmental delay or 2-cell block regardless of the strain. But in a 5% oxygen environment, which is similar to in-vivo conditions HO production was suppressed continuously through out culture and development of embryos was definitely improved. Conclusion: These results suggest that there is a difference in the production of ROS or protective mechanism according to the mouse strains and stage of development, and it is thought that in-vitro culture in 5% oxygen environment provides stable in vivo equilibrium but in a 20% oxygen environment there is production of ROS which overcome the protective mechanism which leads to cellular damage and embryo developmental delay.

        The Identification of Binding Mode for Arabidopsis thaliana 7-Keto-8-aminopelargonic Acid Synthase (AtKAPAS) Inhibitors

        In this study, we determined the 3D-structure of Arabidopsis thaliana KAPAS by homology modeling. We then investigated the binding mode of compounds obtained from in-house library using computational docking methods. From the flexible docking study, we achieved high dock scores for the active compounds denoted in this study as compound $\mathbf{3}$ and compound $\mathbf{4}$. Thus, we highlight the flexibility of specific residues, Lys 312 and Phe 172, when used in active sites.

        해상 유류 유출 사고 후, 유류 해양 오염에 따른 주요 해산 어ㆍ패류내 PAHs 추적

        Marine organisms such as fish (Sebastes schlegeli) and mussels were cultured in sea water tanks placed at Dukpo area which was contaminated by the two oil spill accidents. Results showed that PAHs concentrations in fish tissue were higher than in fish liver. This was explained by the cytochrome P450 IA induction in fish liver after PAHs exposure. Other studies showed that higher PAHs levels were detected in mussels cultures in oil contaminated area than in control site. From these results, we concluded that Dukpo area is still polluted by oil including PAHs and it takes a long time to recover of oil contamination after the oil spill accidents.

      • Performance Evaluation Method for Digital Satellite Communication Channels

        In this paper, a new efficient performance evaluation method is suggested and its efficiency is verified in terms of computer simulation time for QPSK satellite channel. Importance Sampling technique aimed for minimizing the overall computational burden is known to be difficult to implement for QPSK channel. However, in order to solve the difficulties of the existing Importance Sampling techniques, we adopted the discrete probability mass function in the new method for estimating the statistical characteristics of received signals from the measured central moments up to $N_th orders. From the discrete probability mass function constructed with the measured central moments with less number of the received signal samples than the one required in the MC technique, continuous cumulative probability distribution function can be exactly estimated by using interpolation and extrapolation technique. By assuming that the in-phase and quadrature phase received signals are independent and by estimating the channel characteristics of the in-phase and quadrature phase received signals separately, the implementation of the proposed method could be simplified. With the simplified channel performance evaluation model, the overall channel performance evaluation can be done within a drastically reduced time. The simulation results applied to the nonlinear digital satellite QPSK channel showed the great efficiency of the proposed method in the sense of computer run time, and demonstrated that the existing problems of IS for the QPSK nonlinear satellite channels.

      • 액체상 방류물에 의한 주민선량 평가모델 입력변수의 민감도 분석

        A model for off-site radiological dose evaluation due to liquid effluents generated from the operation of nuclear facilities, which are located in inland area, was developed in consideration of Korean agricultural and environmental conditions. In addition, sensitivity analysis was performed for the improvement of the model. Using the developed model, test runs for nuclear fuel fabrication facilities were conducted. Five kinds of exposure pathways(vegetation, animal products, drinking water, fresh-water-fish, shoreline deposits) and two kinds of radionuclides(234U, 234Th) were considered. Sensitivity analysis for input parameters of the model was conducted by applying a Monte Carlo method with Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) technique. As the results, the ingestion of irrigated agricultural products was the highest contributor among the considered exposure pathways. Major sensitive input parameters for the results were the ratio of the interception fraction to the yield of agricultural plants and the human consumption rate.

      • CDMA2000 1x EV-DO 하향링크 시스템에서 연판정기를 이용한 MAPPIC

        본 논문에서는 3-ray 주파수 선택적 페이딩 환경하의 CDMA2000 1x EV-DO 하향링크에서 연판정기의 기울기를 실시간으로 최적 제어하는 MAPPIC(Multistage Adaptive Partial PIC)를 제안하고 기존의 병렬간섭제거기와 비교하여 경로간 간섭(IPI)과 채널간 간섭(ICI)이 제거되어 성능이 향상되었음을 입증하였다. 연판정기 입력신호의 평균대 분산비로서 기울기를 제어하는 제안된 MAPPIC는 병렬간섭제거기, SIC, Partial PIC 및 신경망의 장점을 모두 수용하는 특징을 갖으며, 그 수신 성능이 월등히 개선되었고 회로의 복잡도가 향상되었다. 연판정기의 기울기를 최적화하는데 있어서 forgetting factor를 이용하여 입력신호의 평균과 분산을 측정 하였으며, 송신단에서의 신호와 비교하여 최소자승오류가 최소가 되는 forgetting factor를 결정함으로써, 초기 검출시의 오류포화 현상으로 인해 단계가 증가함에도 성능향상을 기대할 수 없던, 기존의 병렬간섭제거기의 단점을 극복하였으며, 성능 향상 및 회로의 복잡도를 개선하기 위해 레이크 수신기의 정규화 기법을 사용하여 페이딩에 의한 신호의 직교성을 유지하도록 하여 더 정확하게 패스간 간섭을 제거할 수 있도록 하였다. 제안된 병렬간섭제거기의 효율을 입증하기 위해서 선택적 페이딩 환경을 고려하였으며, 또한 다단병렬간섭제거기 및 안테나 다이버시티를 이용하여 최적 성능을 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있다. In this paper, it is proved that the performance is improved by cancelling inter-path and inter-channel interference using the Multistage Adaptive Partial PIC for CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Downlink. The proposed multistage Adaptive Partial PIC which combines the advantages of conventional PIC, SIC, Partial PIC, and NN, improves the performance and significantly reduces the circuit complexity. The weights of the soft limiters are updated according to the measured mean to variance ratio of the soft limiter's input signal. Measuring the mean to variance ratio, we adopted forgetting factor and with the forgetting factor which is chosen with simple test as a value showing minimum mean squared error of last stage of proposed adaptive Partial PIC. In this way, we can overcome the drawbacks, which cause complexity, of existing PICs. To enhance the performance, we normalized the Rake receiver output signal for avoiding deorthogonalization of signature waveforms resulted from fading and remove accurately Inter-path Interference. To verify the efficiency of the proposed PIC, the simulations were carried in frequency selective fading environment. Also, it is also pointed out that the optimal performance can be obtained with multistage PIC and antenna diversity.

      • Characterization of plasma gelsolin as a substrate for matrix metalloproteinases

        <P>We previously showed that plasma gelsolin, a major component of the extracellular actin scavenging system, is an matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-14 substrate. Here we confirmed that plasma gelsolin is cleaved by MMP-14 at the plasma level, and found that it was most efficiently digested by MMP-3 followed by MMP-2, MMP-1, MMP-14, and MMP-9, in that order. Plasma gelsolin (90 kDa) was cut into several fragments of 43–48 kDa by MMP-3. The MMP-3 cleavage sites in plasma gelsolin were determined by labeling the C termini generated by in-gel digestion with 50% H<SUB>2</SUB><SUP>18</SUP>O combined with peptide mass mapping, and sequencing of the N-terminal amino acids. Plasma gelsolin was cleaved at Asn<SUP>416</SUP>-Val<SUP>417</SUP>, Ser<SUP>51</SUP>-Met<SUP>52</SUP>, and Ala<SUP>435</SUP>-Gln<SUP>436</SUP>.Proteolytic cleavage by MMP-3 resulted in considerable loss of its actin filament-depolymerizing activity. This suggests that MMPs weaken the extracellular actin-scavenging system by cleaving plasma gelsolin and may, therefore, be involved in pathological conditions induced by extracellular actin, such as endothelial injury, respiratory distress syndrome, hepatic necrosis, and septic shock.</P>

      • 잡음제거를 위한 최적 데이터 변환방식

        모바일에서 시작된 스마트 서비스는 트래픽을 폭발적으로 증가시키고, 인터넷을 비롯한 정보통신 네트워크은 불원간에 블랙 아웃되거나 저장공간의 한계에 직면하고 있다. 그리고 국가적으로 개발 중인 빅데이타, 수퍼컴퓨팀 및 그리드 컴퓨팅, Giga Korea, 등의 차세대 기술들이 성공적으로 완성되기 위해서는, 스펙트럼 이용효율성 향상 및 공유기술을 비롯한 다양한 기존의 무선주파수 활용기술은 물론이고 현 이동통신 기술을 혁신적으로 뛰어 넘는 새로운 무선통신 개념과 데이터 저장개념을 필수 적으로 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 최종 목적에 이르기 위한 중간 연구결과로서, 송신단에서 transformation 처리한 심볼을 수신단에 서 단순히 역처리 하는 경우에는 어떠한 종류의 매트릭스를 사용하더라도 데이터의 압축이나 잡음을 제거시킬 수가 없음을 증명하였고, 데이터를 압축하거나 잡음을 제거시키기 위해서는 송신단에서 직교 transformation 매트릭스를 결합하여 사용 하되, 단순히 선형적인 역처리 과정이 아닌 비선형적인 처리과정을 거쳐야 함을 증명하였다. Because of the explosively increasing mobile traffic caused by the smart applications, the blackout of communication networks and the shortage of data memory space are expected in the near future. In order that Big Data, Super Computing, Grid Computing, Giga Korea are successfully developed, completely different new communication schemes are required. In this paper, it is proved that any linear data transformation can not make received noise cancelled, and also proved that nonlinear inverse processing combined with orthogonal transformation matrix is required for noise cancellation, and random data compression and reconstruction.
