旣存の濟州島硏究のなかで、泉靖一の『濟州島』を、日本で初めて出版された包括的な硏究書として多くの硏究者が參照し參考にしてきた。もちろん、泉靖一の濟州島硏究を可能にする背景に、日本による朝鮮の植民地支配があったことを看過することはできない。植民地期という時代の文脈のなかに泉靖一の硏究成果を位置づけ批判することは從來の議論のなかですでに進められており、本稿でこの点について改めて取り上げることはしない。本稿では、植民地期でありながらも調査對象との非對稱な關係を越える姿勢を隨所に示している『濟州島』をとおして、今後私たちが濟州島硏究を實踐するにあたっての意義と課題を次の二点から考察するものである。まず第1点目として、泉靖一の記述を植民地期に蓄積されてきた濟州島硏究のなかで捉え直すことによって、その獨自性を提示する。第2点目として、日帝時代以降の濟州島に生じた生活變容および在日濟州島人硏究への先見性について言及する。そのうえで、泉靖一濟州島硏究が私たちに與えた課題について述べよう。 A lot of researchers refer ``Jejudo`` written by IZUMI Seiichi as an inclusive research book published for the first time in Japan. Of course, we can`t overlook the fact that IZUMI Seiichi could research the Jeju island and write``Jejudo``because of the colonialization of Korean peninsula by Japan. It has already been advanced to locate and to criticize the study results of IZUMI Seiichi in the context of the colonial researches, so I don`t take up this respect again by this paper. I focus on the style and the perspective of ``Jejudo`` which shows some possibility to reconstruct the relationship between the researcher and the object of research under the colonialism. So I consider the next two points of view about the meaning and problem for us to research the Jeju island. For the first, I suggest the originality of the descriptions by IZUMI Seiichi in the context of the colonial researches about Jeju island. For the second, I refer to the foresight to research about the life changes about the Jeju island and Jeju people in Japan since the colonialization of Korean peninsula by Japan. Through these two points I describe the problem that ``Jejudo`` written by IZUMI Seiichi has given us.

A field effect transistor (FET) based on the ferroelectric tri-glycine sulfate (TGS) single crystal and pentacene film has been fabricated and the electrical properties have been investigated. It was found that the drain current decreases drastically with the increase of the gate electric field at around 100 V/cm, and shows a minimum at 400 V/cm which corresponds to the coercive electric field of TGS. This decrease of the drain current is caused by the appearance of the depletion layer in the pentacene film. This result indicates that the FET based on the TGS single crystal and pentacene film operates at low gate electric field owing to the rapid generation of the surface charge accompanied by the appearance of the spontaneous polarization in the ferroelectric TGS insulator. It was also found that the drain current does not return to the initial value (before the gate electric field of 450 V/cm is applied) for one week even if the gate electric field is turned from 450 to 0 V/cm. This result indicates that the surface charge of pentacene remains for one week. From these results, it is suggested that the FET based on the TGS single crystal and pentacene film shows the memory effect.

Hollow inorganic microparticles were produced continuously from a volcanic glass (shinju-gan or perlite) using an entrained bed reactor. The microparticles are called expanded perlite. The raw material was a sieved fraction (104㎛ in volume average diameter) of crushed perlite, which is from China. The effects of temperature and residence time on expanded perlite yield were investigated.

A 61-year old woman underwent total abdominal hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection under the diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Although pelvic lymph nodes were positive for adenocarcinoma with psamomma bodies, no other lesion that was a primary lesion was verified. A postoperative study revealed the existence of para-aortic lymph node and supraclavicular lymph node metastases. Therefore, the endometrial biopsy specimen was reviewed. With the findings of p53 positivity by immunohistochemistry in the papillary part, the final histopathological diagnosis was changed to endometrial serous adenocarcinoma. Postoperative chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy for supraclavicular lymph node metastasis achieved complete response. This type of tumor must be considered in a differential diagnosis when metastatic papillary serous carcinoma is detected, but the primary site remains unknown.
