A peony is the perennial plant which comes under Paeoniaceae and classifies a white peony(Paeonia japonica MIYABE et TAKEDA) and a red one(Paeonia albiflora PALLAS). The former lays in a supply of the blood and alleviates an nerve, while the latter lays in a supply of vitality and purifies the dirt blood. They have different uses but there is little difference between them in appearance. Thus at present the white peony is used together with the red one clinically. The purpose of this thesis is to examine and compare the structural and anatomical difference in root and stem of red and white peony. This comparison has led to following conclusions: 1. The length of the vessel members of the red peony is a bit longer than that of the white one in the stem and the root. 2. The width of the vessel members is wider than that of the white one in the stem and the root. 3. There is a clear difference between the two species in which the secondary xylem in root of the red peony is discontinuous scalariform arrangement while that of the white one is continuous radial arrangement.

The implementation method of inner product affects directly capability of DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) system. Because it is difficult to implement a dedicated hardware because an inner product needs many computation steps for multiplication and addition. To reduce these steps, this paper proposes the DCT design method by using Vertical Subexpression Sharing. It is based on vertical direction sharing property of fixed DCT coefficient bit. The proposed design can offer savings in hardware cost compared with others.

Then this study will consider the relationship between cultural globalization and contemporary architecture, by studying on design processes of contemporary architects who attempt to construct cultural flow as an experience element.

Cerebral small vessel disease is the most important cause of lacunar infarction (LI) and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). It is generally postulated that, in its early stages, the vascular lesion engenders vessel wall fragility and ICH. But if rupture dose not occur, segmental vessel occlusion evolves, producing LI. It may be a common aging phenomenon that is exacerbated by hypertension and diabetes mellitus. This study was performed to evaluate risk factors of LI and ICH. We reviewed retrospectively the medical records of 690 patients (254 LI, 436 ICH) with stroke who were admitted to Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center from January 1995 to December 1998. The major risk factors including age, sex, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and several minor risk factors were analyzed in these patients. Older age (p<0.01), male sex(p<0.01), hypertension with treatment(p<0.01), hypertension with long duration(p<0.01) and hypertriglyceridemia(p<0.01), cigarette smoking(p<0.01) were significantly more frequent in LI. Younger age(p<0.01), female sex(p<0.01) and hypertension without treatment(p<0.01), hypertension with short duration(p<0.01) were more frequent in ICH. The prevalence, duration and treatment of diabetes mellitus were not different between these two groups. This study show that the age, sex, treatment of hypertension, duration of hypertension and cigarette smoking seem to be significant risk factors between LI and ICH.
Real-Time Single Camera SLAM Using Fiducial Markers

In this paper, a real-time single camera simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), that uses artificial landmarks is proposed. Proposed method uses the extended Kalman filter (EKF) to estimate robot pose and landmarks position. The core of the approach is the online creation of a map of fiducial markers in the environment within a probabilistic framework. Our key contributions include a development of measurement model of fiducial markers, solutions for global registration of fiducial markers, and the development of calibration-free indoor localization method. We present a detailed method to estimate the 3D location of fiducial markers from an image and how the robot is positioned. Simulation and experimental results for a self-developed mobile robot are both presented.

<P>In this paper we present a new real-time image-based localization method for scenes that have been reconstructed offline using structure from motion. From input video, our method continuously computes six-degree-of-freedom camera pose estimates by efficiently tracking natural features and matching them to 3D points reconstructed by structure from motion. Our main contribution lies in efficiently interleaving a fast keypoint tracker that uses inexpensive binary feature descriptors with a new approach for direct 2D-to-3D matching. Our 2D-to-3D matching scheme avoids the need for online extraction of scale-invariant features. Instead, offline we construct an indexed database containing multiple DAISY descriptors per 3D point extracted at multiple scales. The key to the efficiency of our method is invoking DAISY descriptor extraction and matching sparingly during localization, and in distributing this computation over a temporal window of successive frames. This enables the system to run in real-time and achieve low per-frame latency over long durations. Our algorithm runs at over 30 Hz on a laptop and at 12 Hz on a low-power computer suitable for onboard computation on a mobile robot such as a micro-aerial vehicle. We have evaluated our method using ground truth and present results on several challenging indoor and outdoor sequences.</P>
