A Study on the Qualitative Research Trend of Play Records

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends and terms of ‘play record’ research to help establish future play record research directions. The research questions were set as follows. First, what is the tendency in usage of terms in the play record studies that record free play? Second, what is the trend of research on play records? This study was conducted by analyzing eight papers on play records that record free play. The results obtained from the study are as follows. First, teachers in the field were found to use four categories of terms to record free play: record, play record, observation record, and documentation. Second, the study of play records was conducted with the study of teachers’ experience in play records and the sharing of play records in the learning community.
Regulation of anoikis resistance by NADPH oxidase 4 and epidermal growth factor receptor

<P><B>Background:</B></P><P>Normal cells are sensitive to anoikis, which is a cell detachment-induced apoptosis. However, cancer cells acquire anoikis resistance that is essential for successful metastasis. This study aimed to demonstrate the function and potential mechanism of NADPH oxidase 4 (<I>NOX4</I>) and EGFR activation in regulating anoikis resistance in lung cancer.</P><P><B>Methods:</B></P><P>Cells were cultured either in the attached or suspended condition. Cell viability was measured by cell counting and live and dead cell staining. Expression levels of NOX4 and EGFR were measured by PCR and immunoblotting. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels were measured by flow cytometry. Effects of NOX4 overexpression or <I>NOX4</I> knockdown by si-NOX4 on anoikis sensitivity were explored. Levels of NOX4 and EGFR in lung cancer tissues were evaluated by IHC staining.</P><P><B>Results:</B></P><P>NOX4 was upregulated but EGFR decreased in suspended cells compared with attached cells. Accordingly, ROS levels were increased in suspended cells, resulting in the activation of Src and EGFR. <I>NOX4</I> knockdown decreased activation of Src and EGFR, and thus sensitised cells to anoikis. NOX4 overexpression increased EGFR levels and attenuated anoikis. NOX4 expression is upregulated and is positively correlated with EGFR levels in the lung cancer patient tissues.</P><P><B>Conclusions:</B></P><P>NOX4 upregulation confers anoikis resistance by ROS-mediated activation of EGFR and Src, and by maintaining EGFR levels, which is critical for cell survival.</P>

A process of fabricating the foamed glass that has closed pores with 8 ~ 580 ㎛ sizes without a blowing agent by sintering 10 ㎛ boron-free glass powder composed of CaO, MgO, SO<sub>3</sub>, Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-83 wt% SiO<sub>2</sub> at a molding pressure of 0 ~ 120 MPa and a sintering temperature of 750 ~ 1000℃ was investigated. To analyze the glass transition temperature of glass powder, thermogravimetric analysis-differential thermal analysis (TGA-DTA) method were used. The microstructure and pore size of foamed glass were examined using the optical microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). For the thermal diffusivity and color of the fabricated samples, a heat flow meter and ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared (UV-VIS-NIR)-colormetry were used, respectively. In the TGA-DTA result, the glass transition temperature of glass powder was confirmed to be 626℃. In the microstructure result, closed pores of 7 ~ 20 ㎛ were formed at 750 ~ 900℃, and they were not affected by the molding pressure and sintering temperature. However, at 1,000℃, when there was 0 MPa molding pressure, closed pores of 580 ㎛ were confirmed, and the pore size decreased as the molding pressure increased. Moreover, at a molding pressure of 30 MPa or higher, closed pores of approximately 400 ㎛ were formed. The porosity showed an increasing trend of smaller molding pressure and larger sintering temperature, and it was controllable in the range of 5.69 ~ 68.45%. In the thermal diffusivity result, there was no change according to the molding pressure, and, by increasing the sintering temperature, up to 0.115 W/m·K could be obtained. The Lab color index (CIE-Lab) results all showed a similar translucent white color regardless of molding pressure and sintering temperature. Therefore, based on the foamed glass without boron and blowing agent, it was confirmed that white foamed glass, which has closed pores of 8 ~ 580 ㎛ and a thermal diffusivity characteristic of 0.115 W/m·K, can be fabricated by changing the molding pressure and sintering temperature.

본 연구에서는 광양해역 표층퇴적물 내 중금속의 분포특성과 오염도를 조사하였다. 퇴적물 내 중금속의 평균농도는 Zn이 112.0 mg/kg으로 가장 높았으며 Cr>Pb>Ni>Cu>As>Cd>Hg의 순이었고 정점에 따라 1.9배(Cd)-15.5배(Cu)의 농도차이를 보였다. Cr, Ni, Cd, Hg은 포스코 인근해역에서 Cu, Zn, As 및 Pb은 일반산업단지의 영향을 받는 인덕천과 가까운 정점에서 최대농도를 나타냈다. 우리나라 해저퇴적물의 해양환경기준과 비교한 결과, As만이 1개 정점에서 주의기준(TEL)을 초과하였으며, 나머지 금속들은 주의기준 이하의 농도였다. 조사해역의 과거자료와 비교한 결과, As, Cd, Hg는 2010년에 비해 약간 평균농도가 증가하였으나, 나머지 금속은 유사한 수준으로 나타났다. Heavy metals of the surface sediments in the Gwangyang Bay were investigated to study the spatial distribution and to estimate the pollution status. The mean concentrations of heavy metals were the highest at 112.0 mg/kg Zn, following the order Cr>Pb>Ni>Cu>As>Cd>Hg. These metal concentrations varied 1.9(Cd)-15.5(Cu) times at sampling sites. The highest concentrations were observed around POSCO for Cr, Ni, Cd, Hg and near Induk stream affected by the industrial complex for Cu, Zn, As, Pb, respectively. By comparison with sediment quality guidelines, most metal concentrations were below the TEL value except for As (1 site). Mean concentrations of surface sediments from 2016 have shown increased concentration of As, Cd, Hg relative to 2010. However, other metals showed similar mean values between 2010 and 2016 years.
