외부 광궤환 반도체 레이저의 출력 특성을 비율방정식의 수치해를 이용하여 분석하였다. 출력의 세기와 위상과 전자밀도를 시간에 대한 함수로 알아보았다. 또한 bifurcation diagram과 phase diagram을 통하여 궤환비율 k에 따른 레이저의 동작 특성을 조사하였다. 궤환광이 없을때는 이완발진이 감쇄한 후 안정한 출력특성이 나타나지만 되먹임 비율이 증가하면서 안정한 해의 갯수가 증가하다가 ??????이상의 매우 강한 광궤환에서는 출력특성이 극도로 불규칙해지고 무수히 많은 해를 갖는 혼돈현상이 나타남을 알 수 있었다. The output characteristics of a laser diode with external optical feedback were analyzed by numerical solutions of rate equations. The output power, phase and carrier density were plotted as a function of time. Dynamics of external cavity laser were investigated by the bifurcation diagram and the phase diagram with respect to the feedback rate k. If there was no feedback, relaxation oscillation reduced and laser showed stable output. For increasing feed back level, the number of stable state was increased. In very strong feedback rate above ??????, laser output showed extremely unstable and chaotic behavior.

The surgery of oral and maxillofacial area poses the risk of cranial nerve damage such as trigeminal nerve or facial nerve. Inferior alveolar nerve is prone to damage in the third molar extraction, implant installation, orthognathic surgery, open reduction and rigid fixation, and tumor ablation surgery. On the other hands,facial nerve is likely to be damaged or sacrificed with trauma or parotidectomy. In case of inferior alveolar nerve injury, the incidence is reported to be about 1.3%. The nerve function will almost recover in minimal damage, but it won't recover at last in total damage of a part of nerve unit. In latter cases, nerve regeneration in intended by allograft as nerve substitute or various route of merve condit. But the recovery with autograft is believed to be most relialbe mrthod in the rapair of long-span(longer than 15㎜)nerve defect. We have performed autologous sural nerve graft in the repair of nerve defect, which is caused by resection of benign or malignant tumor. Hereby we report the method of nerve harvesting, recovery of defected peripheral nerve and the complications of donor site with the discussion of sural nerve anatomy.

융비술시 실리콘 고무는 다루기 쉽고 조직 반응이 적어 현대 많이 돌출의 합병증이 생길 수 있다. 저자등은 이러한 실리콘의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 goretex를 사용하여 융비술을 시행하고 비첨에 대해서 자가연골을 이식하여 만족할 만한 결과를 얻었기에 goretex가 안면부 연조직의 증강을 위한 이식재료로 적합하다고 생각되어 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Many different materials have been used to provide augmentation of the nasal dorsum. this include both autogenous and homogenous materials,as well as allografts. Silicone among the artificial materials has been most widely used. The silicone has some advantages and disadvantages. Goretex(expanded polytetra-fluoroethylene) which has widely used in vascular surgery and abdominal surgery can be used for facial soft tissue augmentation. The author presemts 2 cases of nasal augmentaion using goretex with literature review.

In the head and neck area, there are so many sensory nerves, which are sometimes injuried iatrogenically or inadvertently so that involved patients complained of the loss of sensations. In such cases, it is important to judge the degree of injuries and regeneration of nerve for better diagnosis and treatment. Seddon and Sunderland's classification, which is commomly used, is focused on histological change and nerve conduction. As times goes by, it is difficult to access patient's sensory disturbance by this method. Until now, so many methods such as contract threshold, direction, two-point discrimination, pin prick, thermal discrimination and current perception threshold have been introduced for sensory evaluation. However, there hasn't been enough information regarding each methodology nor integrated standard methodology for the measurement. the purpose of this study is to get Korean adult normative sensory values of lower lip,chin and tongue using modified methods of contact thershold, ditection, two point discrimination, pin prick, thermal discrimination and assess degree of regeneration of sensory nerve damage.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Relaxor-PbTiO<SUB>3</SUB> piezoelectric single crystals have been of a great interest, since the discovery of ultrahigh piezoresponse demonstrated in <001> -oriented crystals of the composition at the rhombohedral side of morphotropic phase boundary. It has been proposed that the exceptionally large piezoelectric properties should originate from an electric-field-induced polarization rotation that involves a reversible phase transformation between rhombohedral and tetragonal via monoclinic symmetry. However, this commonly accepted polarization rotation mechanism has its limit in explaining still the excellent piezoelectricity even at a small excitation field far below the coercive field. Here, we show by a comparative study using single crystals from two distinct processing techniques, the polarization rotation has, if ever, little influence on the strain properties of <001 > -oriented rhombohedral relaxor-PbTiO<SUB>3</SUB> single crystals. Instead, they may come from a reversible shear-mode piezoelectric contribution from electric-field-susceptible ‘symmetry-bridging’ unit-cell-level phases, the polarization direction of which spans monoclinic symmetry.</P>

The purpose of this study is to analyze how 4-week hip adductor muscle exercise influences a degree of adductor muscle power and pain of female students with premenstrual syndrome. The study subjects were 8 female students in their 20s going to K-university in S city of Gyeongsangbuk-do, who had pain caused by premenstrual syndrome. VAS test as a study method was applied to look into a subjective pain degree. Isokinetic test was conducted to look into hip adductor muscle power. The results are summarized as follows : 1. According to the test on hip adductor muscle power, Peak torque weight 60°/sec was significantly different in the right sides(p<.05), and left sides(p<.01). Average power 60°/sec was statistically and significantly different in the right and left sides(p<.01). Total Work 60°/sec was statistically and significantly different in the right and left sides(p<.01). 2. According to VAS test, pain was significantly alleviated(p<.01). It is expected that more research on premenstrual syndrome will be conducted.

We performed Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.) and produced herbicide-resistant transformants from commercial cultivars Crenshaw and Penncross. Seed-derived embryogenic calli were infected with A. tumefaciens EHA105 harboring pCAMBIA 3301, which includes an intron-containing gus reporter and a bar selection marker. To establish a stable system, we examined various factors that could potentially influence transformation efficiency during the pre-culture, infection, and co-cultivation steps. The addition of kinetin to the callus pre-culture media increased efficiency about three-fold. Once the optimum infection and co-cultivation conditions were identified, this protocol was used successfully to bulk-produce herbicide-resistant transgenic plants whose herbicide resistance was confirmed using the BASTA(R) resistance test. Southern blot analysis demonstrated integration and low copy numbers of the integrated transgenes, and northern blot analysis verified their expression. Thus, we have established an efficient genetic transformation system for creeping bentgrass and confirmed a high frequency of single-copy transgene integration and functional gene expression.
