In this letter, we propose an efficient training sequence structure for adaptive linear multiuser detectors in space-time block coded multiuser systems, by exploiting a particular property of the minimum mean square error multiuser detectors used in these systems. The proposed structure wastes less overall system capacity than the straightforward training structure, without any corresponding loss of performance, as confirmed by the simulation results.

Light rail transit is classified to rubber-tired LRT, lear induction motor LRT, steel wheel LRT, monorail and tramway. LRT except for tramway are usually operated without driver and tramway are driven depending on driver's sight like usual car. LRT, which is one type of urban guided transit, shall be operated according to domestic "Operational Regulation for Urban Guided Transit" but existing regulation does not contain the safety related codes for driverless operation. In this paper, we investigate "IEC 62267 : Railway Application-Safety Requirements for Automated Urban Guided Transit" and compensate for existing operational regulation by referring to international standard and operational rule of commercial line.

Electronic devices in railway vehicle perform various functions such as not only braking and propulsion but also monitoring of vehicle condition on-line diagnosis and passenger information service etc. These devices distributed in vehicle should be efficiently connected so as to properly perform the functions. IEC (International Electro-Technical Commission) standardized train communication network (TCN) as IEC 61375-1 -2. TCN can reduce the interconnecting work load by reducing the number of wire-line compared with existing hard-wire connection and it brings the efficient control by enabling various devices to share the information. But existing TCN can not satisfy the increasing service demands like passenger internet access and CCTV surveillance etc. In this paper we investigate ECN (Ethernet Consist Network) and ETN (Ethernet Train Backbone) which are proposed to satisfy these demands and in the process of standardization by IEC TC9 WG43.

현재 국내에서 적용되고 있는 철도시설물에 대한 성능시험을 위한 관련 법규는 도시철도법, 철도안전법, 철도종합시험운행 시행지침 등을 고려할 수 있다. 따라서 개발되는 트램은 도시철도법에 따라 철도에 해당되므로 개발제품은 철도용품의 품질인증, 철도시설의 안전기준, 철도용품의 형식승인, 성능시험의 대상, 성능시험의 기준 및 방법, 도시철도시설 성능시험 등을 검토하여 트램의 통합연계 신호시스템의 성능평가를 수행하여야 한다. 특히 2014년에 개정된 철도안전법, 철도종합시험운행지침, 철도시설의 기술기준의 내용을 면밀히 분석하여 해당되는 시험평가의 범위와 대상을 분류하고 한국형 트램의 시험평가 관련 법규를 분석하여 최적의 시험평가를 수행하도록 연구하여 향후 국내에 트램을 도입할 때에 문제가 없도록 하여야 한다. The Urban Railroad Act, Korean railway safety law, and the Enforcement of Railway Comprehensive Testing Operations can be considered as performance test related laws for domestic railway facilities. And the developing Tram system comes under the railway field according to the Urban Railroad Act. Therefore, Qquality–Certification of Railway Products, Rules on Safety Standards of Railroad Installations, Type Approval of Railway Products, Targets for Performance Tests, Performance Test Criterion and Method and Urban Railroad Performance Tests should be examined and a performance assessment of Signal Integration and Interface Systems should be carried out. The scope and target of test evaluation will be determined by analyzing Korean Railway Safety Law, the Enforcement of Railway Comprehensive Testing Operations and the Rules on Technical Standards of Railroad Installations which were revised in 2014. To carry out optimum test evaluations, this study analyzed relevant regulations in order to avoid any problems when Tram systems are introduced in Korea in the future.
시공간블록부호화를 적용한 공간다중화 시스템 수신기 : 복잡도 감소 방안

본 논문에서는 Alamouti의 시공간블록부호화를 적용한 다중화 시스템에서 선형 검출기 (zero forcing 또는 minimum mean square error)의 특성을 유도하고 이를 이용하여 수신기의 복잡도를 줄일 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. MMSE 검출기를 적응형으로 설계할 경우 계산해야 하는 가중치 벡터들의 수는 공간 다중화하여 전송한 심볼들의 수만큼 필요하지만 유도한 특성을 이용하면 STBC블록들의 수로 줄어든다. 적응형 알고리즘으로 RLS 알고리즘을 적용해 보았고 복잡도를 50%이상 줄일 수 있었다. 또한 V-Blast검출방법의 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 제안된 정렬QR분해 검출기를 본 시스템에 적용할 때 동일한 특성이 유니타리 행렬 Q와 상위삼각행렬 R에 나타나는 것을 확인하였고, 이 경우에도 성능의 저하 없이 복잡도를 50%까지 줄일 수 있었다. In this paper, we derive some properties of linear detectors (zero forcing or minimum mean square error) at spatial multiplexing systems with alamouti's space-time block code. Based on the derived properies, this paper proposes low-complexity receivers. Implementing MMSE detector adaptively, the number of weight vectors to be calculated and updated is greatly reduced with the derived properties compared to the conventional methods. In the case of recursive least square algorithm, with the proposed approach computational complexity is reduced to less than the half. We also identify that sorted QR decomposition detector, which reduces the complexity of V-Blast detector, has the same properties for unitary matrix Q and upper triangular matrix R. A complexity reduction of about 50%, for sorted QR decomposition detector, can be achieved by using those properties without the loss of performance.
