Shortest path problem in road network with turn penalties and prohibitions frequently arises from various transportation optimization models. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the shortest path problem with turn prohibitions and delays. The proposed algorithm maintains distance labels of arcs, which is similar to labels of nodes of Dijkstra's algorithm. Fibonacci heap implementation of the proposed algorithm solves the problem in O(mn+mlogm). We provide a new insight in transforming network with turn penalties and prohibitions into another network in which turn penalties and prohibitions are implicitly considered. The proposed algorithm is implemented using new data structure and compared with Ziliaskopoulos' algorithm. Computational results show that proposed algorithm is very efficient.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We experimentally investigate the frosting and defrosting performance of slippery surfaces which have low sliding angles of water droplets and low ice adhesion strengths. The frosting and defrosting characteristics of slippery surfaces are compared with those of bare aluminum, hydrophilic, and superhydrophobic surfaces. The enhanced sliding properties of water droplets on the slippery surfaces effectively promote the drainage of the condensate on their surfaces, which not only leads to significant frost retardation under frosting conditions, but also substantially reduces the mass of the retained water on the surfaces after defrosting by heat. In addition, when mechanical vibration is applied together with heating during defrosting process, the low ice adhesion strengths of the slippery surfaces enable the effective detachment of the lumped frost layer from their surfaces, thereby significantly reducing the defrosting time.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Frosting and defrosting performance of slippery surfaces are experimentally investigated. </LI> <LI> Slippery surfaces lead to effective frost retardation and reduced retained water after defrosting. </LI> <LI> The effects of applying mechanical vibration to heat defrosting of slippery surfaces are studied. </LI> <LI> Slippery surfaces exhibit significant reduction of defrosting time with mechanical vibration. </LI> </UL> </P>
수도 매끄러운엽 품종과 껄끄러운엽 품종에 있어서의 벼멸구 저항성, 수량성 및 제현비율의 비교

수도에 있어서 원활엽형질의 이용성을 검토하기 위하여 껄끄러운 잎의 품종과 매끄러운 잎의 품종에서 벼멸구저항성이 있는 것, 없는 것을 공시하여 원활엽형질이 벼멸구의 식이선호성과 우해율에 미치는 영향을 비교하고, 매끄러운 잎을 가친 품종과 껄끄러운 잎을 가진 품종의 수량 및 제현비율을 비교하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 벼멸구의 식이선호성, 우해율 및 항충성은 찰과메에 껄끄러운 형질 및 찰과메에 따라 차가 나타나지 않았다. 2. 지엽중의 SiO2/N 비율과 수량은 여리 N시용수준에 있어서 잎의 매끄러운 형질과 절끄러운 형질에 따라 차가 나타나지 않았다. 3. 매끄러운 잎을 가진 계통은 껄끄러운 잎을 가진 계통보다 우해율이 높았는데 메에 있어서만 유의하였다. 4. 매끄러운 잎을 가진 품종의 효용성을 검토하였다. Comparisons were made between pubescent and smooth leaved cultivars or lines for the brown planthopper feeding preference, adult emergence percent, nymphal period, grain yield and brown rice recovery percent, and found that there were no significant differences of the traits tested between smooth and pubescent.
Semantic-Based K-Means Clustering for Microblogs Exploiting Folksonomy

Recently, with the development of Internet technologies and propagation of smart devices, use of microblogs such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram has been rapidly increasing. Many users check for new information on microblogs because the content on their timelines is continually updating. Therefore, clustering algorithms are necessary to arrange the content of microblogs by grouping them for a user who wants to get the newest information. However, microblogs have word limits, and it has there is not enough information to analyze for content clustering. In this paper, we propose a semantic-based K-means clustering algorithm that not only measures the similarity between the data represented as a vector space model, but also measures the semantic similarity between the data by exploiting the TagCluster for clustering. Through the experimental results on the RepLab2013 Twitter dataset, we show the effectiveness of the semantic-based K-means clustering algorithm.
Protein Binder for Affinity Purification of Human Immunoglobulin Antibodies

<P>The importance of a downstream process for the purification of immunoglobulin antibodies is increasing with the growing application of monoclonal antibodies in many different areas. Although protein A is most commonly used for the affinity purification of antibodies, certain properties could be further improved: higher stability in alkaline solution and milder elution condition. Herein, we present the development of Fc-specific repebody by modular engineering approach and its potential as an affinity ligand for purification of human immunoglobulin antibodies. We previously developed the repebody scaffold composed of Leucine-rich repeat (LRR) modules. The scaffold was shown to be highly stable over a wide range of pH and temperature, exhibiting a modular architecture. We first selected a repebody that binds the Fc fragment of human immunoglobulin G (IgG) through a phage display and increased its binding affinity up to 1.9 × 10<SUP>–7</SUP> M in a module-by-module approach. The utility of the Fc-specific repebody was demonstrated by the performance of an immobilized repebody in affinity purification of antibodies from a mammalian cell-cultured medium. Bound-antibodies on an immobilized repebody were shown to be eluted at pH 4.0 with high purity (>94.6%) and recovery yield (>95.7%). The immobilized repebody allowed a repetitive purification process more than ten times without any loss of binding capability. The repebody remained almost intact even after incubation with 0.5 M NaOH for 15 days.
