Precision machining widely bases on the technology connected with machine tools, machining and others. The prototype was designed in the base of the analysis of the precision air bearing spindle which have greate influence upon the machining accuracy of the precision machine. The contents in this study are as follows. 1) Design and manufacture of the spindle system, 2) Performance test of the system. The spindle system is made of aero-static, which has the excellent rotation accuracy was designed and manufactured. As a result of the test (static vibration, dynamic vibration, spindle rotation), the air spindle system was stability. We think that this system can apply to the ultra-precision machine tools.

The high speed precision spindle, which is an important element part of industrial machinery such as micro drilling, high speed machine tools and the atomizer. In this study, the aero-static spindle was designed and a stiffness analysis of air bearing was carried out to investigate the optimal design parameter for the high speed spindle.

This paper deals with the ultrasonic vibration cutting for the precision machining of aluminum alloy. When the ultrasonic vibration is applied on the tool, the cutting tool makes periodical contact with workpiece. And, the cutting is performed by vibrating impact force while the cutting tool contacts the workpiece. In this paper, the horn of ultrasonic vibration system were designed and manufactured, to compare the ultrasonic vibration cutting with the conventional cutting, the machined surface roughness of aluminum alloy in turning were experimentally measured. The experiments revealed that the ultrasonic vibration cutting had the best surface roughness than the conventional cutting under the same cutting condition.

In a high speed spindle system, it is very important to monitor the state of rotating rotor. Particularly in active control spindle system, the position sensor must provide feedback to the control system on the exact position of the rotor. In order to monitor the state of a high speed spindle exactly, high accuracy and wide frequency bandwidth of sensors are important. The focus in this paper is to make a fiber optic sensor for monitoring rotor of magnetic bearing to design the circuit for detecting optical signal, and to evaluation static and dynamic characteristics of fiber optic sensor.
디지탈 영상처리를 위한 데이타 취득 시스템에 관한 연구

A computer vision system for recognition and processing any visible objects is designed. Analog video images are digitized and stored in the internal memory of a microcomputer system and these digitized data are output through a bit-image printer. The kirsch edge operator is used for the processing. In order to compare the result of Kirsch edge enhancement, two images "a Man" and "a figure" are tested. Because of the limitations of the speed of A/D converter and the capacity of internal memory, the operation of the system is a still-picture mode. Upper 4 bit date of the memory are used for printing out the image, so as to the gray levels are sixteen. The output size of the bit-image printer is 120x120, and 2 horizontal lines are printed simultaneously per 1 carriage return because the printer has a 8 pin head. The system is designed to have compatibility with any microcomputer system which has a S-100 bus structure.

Quantutative analysis of catechins by HPLC was studied. When the mobile phase was switched from the conventional(AOAC) Methanol, Acetonitril and Acetic acid solution in Hz0 to 0.06% Phosphate solution with Acetonitrile, N,N-Dimethyl formamide, and Ethyl acetate, retention time could be reduced from 45 min to 28 min, especially, we obtained sharper chromatogram of the compounds, either (-)EGCG or (-)ECG, which resulted in minimization of analytical erros. CVs of retention time (0.32∼3.97%) and peak area (1.61∼7.01%) indicated that the data were more reliable. Content of catechins in commerical teas analyzed by the method was 120.3∼153.7 ㎎/g in green teas which was about 4 times that in black tea.
