2014년 시행된 사전투표제는 유권자의 편의성을 높여 투표율을 제고하기 위한 새로운 대안으로 주목받고 있다. 하지만 이러한 기대에도 불구하고 행정 단위에 기반한 사전투표소의 설치와 운영은 유권자의 실제적인 투표 편의를 제대로 보장하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 기존 사전투표소의 입지를 체계적으로 검토하고, 공간 최적화 기법을 활용하여 투표소의 공간 접근성을 극대화할 수 있는 다양한 사전투표소 입지 대안을 새롭게 제시하고 있다. 구체적으로 서울의 서초구와 강남구를 대상으로 주중, 주간의 유동인구와 직장인구 분포를 활용한 실제적인 사전투표 수요를 반영한 투표소의 최적 입지를 보여주고 있다. 이러한 최적화 결과물은 사전투표소의 공간 접근성과 인구 규모에 따른 행정동 간 투표 형평성이 개선된 공간 계획안들로 향후 선거를 위한 사전투표소를 추가 설치하거나 전면 재배치에 관한 계획이나 정책 입안에 매우 유용한 이론적, 경험적 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The early voting system started in 2014 has been paid attention as a new alternative for increasing a voting rate by improving voters convenience. Improper locations of early voting polls typically based on the administrative unit and management cannot provide a better service for voters voting convenience actually. In this regard, this paper examines the exiting system of early voting in a systematic way, and attempts to suggest various locational solutions for early voting polls using spatial optimization techniques which maximize spatial accessibility of voting polls. Specifically, we present the optimal locations of newly sited early voting polls by considering actual demands of early voters based on floating population and workers distributions in Seocho and Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The major results are thought of as the enhanced spatial plans for providing better spatial accessibility and voting equity among different population administrative units, and they would be utilized as theoretical and empirical references when planning new places or replacements of early voting polls for further elections.

<P>The high interfacial trap density in GaAs MOS capacitors is one of the critical issues for realizing high mobility field-effect transistors. This paper proposes a new approach involving the high pressure thermal oxidation (HPO) of GaAs and subsequent HF etching prior to the deposition of an Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> dielectric film. The HPO-treated MOS capacitors exhibited better electrical properties, such as reduced hysteresis and frequency dispersion compared to those of the control capacitors. These improvements were attributed to their reduced interfacial trap density. The relevant rationale is discussed based on the suppression of the Ga<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> layer between the Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> dielectric and GaAs semiconductor, which resulted from the As excess and Ga deficient surface modification via HPO and subsequent HF etching.</P>
Computer Simulation of Random Packings of Hard Disks

강성구의 무작위 쌓임을 모사하는데 가장 어려운 점은 움직이는 구들이 쌓여있는 구들과의 충돌을 통해 정지하면서 쌓여지는 과정에 대한 모사이다. 구들의 운동은 고전적인 역학으로 쉽게 모사할 수 있지만 쌓여있는 구들에 전해지는 충격은 다중 충돌으로서 다루어져야 한다. 이 부분의 모사를 위하여 구의 상태를 네가지로 구분하고 충격의 전달을 모사할 수 있는 algorithm을 개발하였다. The main problem in simulating the random packing of hard disks is how to simulate the process the moving disks stop into being packed through the collision to the already packed disks. While the motions of the disks can be easily simulated by the classical mechanics, the transfer of the impact through the packed disks must be handled as the multiple collisions. For the simulation of this kind, we defined four states of the disks and developed the algorithm simulating the impact transfer.
EmoBridge: 장애학생과 필기 지원 인력 간의 소통 증진을 위한 협동 필기 프로그램 디자인

신체적, 정신적 장애로 인해 장애학생은 교육적 성취에 상당한 제약을 받고 있다. 따라서 많은 고등교육기관에서는 장애학생의 학습 지원을 위해 필기 지원인력 (Peer Notetaker) 프로그램을 운영하여 비장애 학생이 장애학생이 수강하는 수업의 필기를 대신 작성할 수 있게 하는 지원책을 마련하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 필기 지원인력 프로그램 이용 경험이 있는 장애학생과 지원인력 총 16 명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하여 이들이 경험하는 필기 상황 및 학습적, 관계적 측면에서의 문제점을 발견하였다. 이 같은 문제점들을 해결하는 방안으로서 장애학생과 지원인력이 필기를 실시간으로 공유하며 이모지로 소통할 수 있는 협동 필기 프로그램인 ‘EmoBridge’ 프로토타입을 개발 및 평가하였다. 본 연구는 필기 지원인력 프로그램에서 발생하는 다층적인 어려움에 대한 이해를 바탕으로, 협동 필기 프로그램의 디자인을 제시한데 그 의의가 있다.

<P>The bacterial strain Bacillus velezensis GH1-13, isolated from rice paddy soil in Korea, has been shown to promote plant growth and have strong antagonistic activities against pathogens. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of GH1-13, revealing that it possesses a single 4,071,980-bp circular chromosome with 46.2% GC content. The chromosome encodes 3,930 genes, and we have also identified a unique plasmid in the strain that encodes a further 104 genes (71,628 bp and 31.7% GC-content). The genome was found to contain various enzyme-encoding operons, including indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) biosynthesis proteins, 2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase, various non-ribosomal peptide synthetases, and several polyketide synthases. These properties are responsible for the promotion of plant, growth and the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. They therefore have multiple beneficial effects that could be applied to agriculture. Through curing, we found that the unique plasmid of GH1-13 has important roles in the production of phytohormones, such as IAA, and in shaping phenotypic and physiological characteristics. The plasmid therefore likely influences the biological activities of GH1-13. The complete genome sequence of B. velezensis GH1-13 contributes to our understanding of this beneficial strain and will encourage research into its development for agricultural or biotechnological applications, enhancing productivity and crop quality.</P>
Photon-Stimulated H Desorption from Several H/Si(001) Surfaces for Resistless Lithography

Synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy (SRPES) and scanning photoelectron microscopy (SPEM) have been used to investigate photon-stimulated H desorption from several H-terminated Si(001) surfaces for resistless lithography. H was desorbed from a well-defined Si(001)2$\times$1:H surface upon unmonochromatized photon irradiation, but monochromatic photons (100 $\sim$ 650 eV) did not break H-Si bonds regardless of the incident photon flux per unit area. Photons of $\sim$7.9 eV or secondary electrons might induce H desorption upon unmonochromatized photon irradiation. On the other hand, contaminated H/Si(001) surfaces were affected by extreme ultraviolet (EUV) (11.8 nm) irradiation. Here, we demonstrate that minute patterns can be formed through the photochemical reaction.
