The Effect of Lumbar Stabilization Exercise on Low Back Pain : A Meta-analysis of Studies in Korea

The purpose of this meta-analysis study was to investigate the effect of lumbar stabilization exercise on low back pain by analyzing Korean studies. Studies for the analysis were searched in electronic bibliographic databases by using the keywords ‘lumbar stabilization exercise’ and ‘low back pain’. Only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and clinical controlled trials (CCTs) were included. Of the 36 studies identified in the search, 11 studies met the study criteria and were thus included in the meta-analysis. As a result, lumbar stabilization exercise showed a large effect size(ES) on back pain(ES, 0.84; 95% confidence interval, 0.55–1.22, p=0.025). In the analysis of the subcategorical variables, the RCTs showed larger ES(0.921) than the CCTs(0.693) and static+dynamic exercise showed larger ES than static exercise (0.675). In the analysis of the subcontinuous variables, as the exercise duration (weeks) and number of exercise per week increased, pain decreased(p<0.05). Our results indicated that lumbar stabilization exercise had a beneficial effect on low back pain. In the future, accumulation of more research studies about lumbar stabilization in Korea will lead to more systematic and comprehensive analyses.
한국어 text - to - speech 합성기의 구현

최근, 음성에 의한 man - machine 인터페이스를 위해 음성인식 및 음성 합성기술에 관한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 특히 음성합성은 무인안내시스템을 비롯한 광범위한 응용분야를 가지고 있어 실용화가 시급한 분야이다. 한국어의 합성을 위한 연구는 몇 곳에서 이루어지고 있으나 아직 만족할만한 성능의 시스템은 나타나지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국어에 나타나는 모든 음소환경에서의 각 음소의 음향학적인 분석 데이타를 이용하여 text - to - speech 형 합성기의 prototype을 구현하였다. 시스템은 한글 텍스트를 받아들여 음소열로 바꾸는 전처리부분과 음소의 열에서 합성기의 입력 파라미터를 생성하는 두 부분으로 구성하였다. Klatt가 제안한 포만트 합성기를 사용하여 음성 샘플을 생성한 다음 DT2801보드를 이용하여 스피커로 출력하였다.
구매기업 프로세스에의 공급기업의 적극적 참여가 기업 운영성과에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구

Recently in Korea, ‘win-win management(Sangsaeng management)’ is receiving much attention. In many cases, small and mid-sized suppliers get one directional help from buyers who are usually larger companies. Buyers who have advanced technology and better financial position provide funding at a lower cost and opportunities for better skills. This may not correspond to the true meaning of ‘Sangsaeng management’ because it is just one-way cooperation. This paper focuses on active, bi-directional cooperation by examining the effect of supplier’s active involvement in buyer’s product design and production process. Especially, research was performed for small and mid-sized Korean companies. The results indicate that supplier’s active involvement in buyer’s production process would improve operational performance of suppliers. The results also indicate that the effect of active cooperation would increase as relationship between suppliers and buyers becomes more strategic and active. This paper not only validates the effect of active cooperation among Korean companies, but also provides the future opportunities to extend the research framework of ‘Sangsaeng management’.

An embedded system requires test process for reality of the system. For this, it is important to test exception handling which programmer developed. Especially, embedded system is required to test input from hardware device and external signal. But, manual test is required much time and low reality. And it is hard to reproduce faulty situation for debugging. In this paper, we propose a new exception handling test criteria for an embedded system. For this criteria, we define exception type and test exception handling using fault injection technique. And we propose generation of test data for occurring exception situation.
