The purpose of this study was to investigate the fluoride releasing behavior of one self-curing glass-ionomer (Fuji II), one light-curing glass-ionomer (Fuji II LC), three compomers (PrismaFlow, UniFil F, and Dyract AP) and SIX composite resins (Flowline, Fissurit FX, Flow-It, Wave, Heliomolar Flow, and Glacier) as a function of light intensity. Disk type specimens were stored in deionized water at 37℃ for 1, 2, 4, 8 hrs and 1, 2, 7, 14, 21, 28 days. The deionized water was changed after measurements. The amount of fluoride ion, which was released from specimens, was measured by pH/ISE Meter (Istek Model 730P, Korea) with fluoride electrode. The results were statistically compared by Tukey multiple comparisons test (p=0.05). There were significant differences in degree of polymerization between specimens with 1 hr after irradiation and those with 24 hrs after irradiation (p<0.05). The cumulative amount of fluoride released was decreased with increasing light intensity (or degree of polymerization). The fluoride-releasing patterns of specimens were significantly different (p<0.05).

Strain type of lactic acid bacteria was analysed by PCR and SDS-PAGE. PCR allows the rapid and specific detection of lactic acid bacteria using primers based on 16S rRNA gene-sequences. The analysis of protein pattern on SDS-PAGE can be used to determine the differences among the same or similar species of lactic acid bacteria. Therefore, the complementary use of PCR and SDS-PAGE method is one of simple way to classify the lactic acid bacteria and to compare with genetic analysis.

This paper concerning the case study on claims happened by inherent flaw of the insured cargo from a commercial science standpoint by raising the question as follows : First, should it be adjusted on loss in applying warranty condition suitable to all sort of the insured cargo risk? Second, should the Loss Adjustment and Recovery regarding the insurance claims be executed properly on the basis of well-grounded legal items and should laws and regulations be definitely? Third, what is incidental problems caused by the settlement of items to the exclusion of pertinent and valid precedent which has been applicable customary for the purpose of persisting in indefinite legal items which do not fit in with the reality in time of raising a claim? Therefore this paper exemplified well-grounded precedent on the kinds inherent flaw of the insured cargo, suggested the notable items of the Loss Adjustment and Recovering on the basis of the cause for claim, the legal basis for decision of the court, the analysis of precedent and the problems and the corresponding device in analyzing each precedent.

Translation 과정에 영향을 미치는 RNA의 이차 구조와 구조의 존재하는 위치에 대한 영향을 조사하기 위해 본 연구에서는 model system으로 사람의 ferritin 유전자를 이용하였다. Ferritin 유전자의 5‘UTR, 단백질의 coding 지역내, 3’ UTR 등 3가지 위치에서 변형된 이차구조 인자를 이용하여 ferritin 단백질의 생성량을 in vitro translation을 이용하여 비교 측정하였다. 이 가운데 5‘ UTR에 존재하는 RNA 이차구조만이 ferritin 합성을 저해하였다. Genetic controls of cell metabolism and differentiation involve translational regulatory mechanism. Iron-responsive elements located within 5' or 3' untranslated regions(UTRs) are utilized for translational specific mRNAs. To identify the locations of structural elements utilized for translational regulation of mRNA, we modified and tested the roles of structural elements located within the 5', 3' UTR or coding region of ferritin. Our data suggest only 5'UTR element within ferritin is important for translational regulation.
