Dielectric and Ferroelectric Properties of EuxBa1-xTiO3 Fine Ceramics

EuxBa1-xTiO3 (EBT, x = 0.01 ∽ 0.1) fine ceramics were prepared from EBT nanoparticles, where the sol-gel method was employed to substitute Eu homogeneously for Ba in the BaTiO3. With calcining and sintering the EBT nanoparticles, the grain sizes of EBT fine ceramics were measured to be about 0.1 ∽ 1.0 μm by using scanning electron microscopy. The EBT fine ceramics exhibited the ferroelectric D-E hysteresis. The Curie temperature shifted toward 70 ℃ for EBT (x = 0.10) fine ceramics and displayed diffuse phase-transition behaviors. The Curie temperature of EBT is thought to be lowered by the incorporation of Eu ions, where Eu substituted for Ba in the A sites of BaTiO3. Optical and Electrical Properties of Li-Doped ZnO Thin Films by the Pulsed Laser Deposition

We studied the effects of Li incorporation on the physical properties of ZnO thin films, which is comparable to native defects in the ZnO. The Li-doped ZnO (ZnO:Li) thin films were grown on Al(0001) substrates by using the pulsed laser deposition method. The targets employed were high-purity ZnO ceramics with different Li contents: Li 0.05 at.%, Li2O 0.05 mol% and Li 0.10 at.%. We observed that the optical and the electrical properties of the ZnO:Li thin films depended on the Li concentration. The crystalline qualities and the surface morphologies of the thin films were studied by using X-ray diffraction and scanning probe microscope image. The thicknesses of the ZnO:Li thin films were estimated by using the interference patterns of the optical transmittance data. In order to investigate the potential transparent conductive applications of the ZnO:Li thin films, we discuss the photoluminescence and the Hall conductivity. Consequently, ZnO:Li thin lms are expected to be almost epitaxially grown on Al2O3 (0001) substrate and exhibits n-type conductivity at room temperature.

This paper concerning the case study on claims happened by inherent flaw of the insured cargo from a commercial science standpoint by raising the question as follows : First, should it be adjusted on loss in applying warranty condition suitable to all sort of the insured cargo risk? Second, should the Loss Adjustment and Recovery regarding the insurance claims be executed properly on the basis of well-grounded legal items and should laws and regulations be definitely? Third, what is incidental problems caused by the settlement of items to the exclusion of pertinent and valid precedent which has been applicable customary for the purpose of persisting in indefinite legal items which do not fit in with the reality in time of raising a claim? Therefore this paper exemplified well-grounded precedent on the kinds inherent flaw of the insured cargo, suggested the notable items of the Loss Adjustment and Recovering on the basis of the cause for claim, the legal basis for decision of the court, the analysis of precedent and the problems and the corresponding device in analyzing each precedent.
비선형광학 단결정 KTP 의 상전이 및 완화특성에 관한 연구

We have carried out the measurements of complex dielectric constants with impedance/gain-phase analyzer using capacitor method and the experiments of high temperature X-ray powder diffraction with X-ray diffractometer using θ -2θ scan method for the KTP single crystal which has the premium nonlinear optical properties. From the results of high temperature X-ray powder diffraction experiments, we have found that KTP does not undergo structural phase transition below 900℃. It is clear that KTP undergoes structural phase transition around 900℃ and belongs to orthorhombic above 900℃ still. However, we have applied phenomenological relation of dielectric relaxation to the results of complex dielectric measurement and have found that relaxation mechanism of KTP well satisfies the Cole-Cole relation over the temperature range from -78℃ to 200℃. And also the relaxation time well satisfies the Vogel-Fulcher relation. It is regarded that the hopping and thermally activated diffusion mechanism may control the conduction behavior of KTP above 200℃.
