Background: Physicians can play a crucial role in the knowledge that patients have about a disease and its prognosis. Recently, patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) are increasingly turning from western medicine to oriental herbal medicine. However, their awareness of AD and attitude toward Western medicine and oriental herbal medicine clinics are scarcely reported. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the understanding of AD among patients and their parents and to identify their awareness of and attitude toward Western medicine and oriental herbal medicine as treatments for AD. Methods: An online questionnaire was administered to 500 consenting respondents with AD (age, 16∼49 years) and parents of children with AD (age, 0∼15 years). Results: The mean percentage of correct answers to questions about AD was 52.54%. A parental history of AD was independently associated with higher respondent`s knowledge about the disease and its treatment. The satisfaction with treatment outcomes was highest among patients treated at private clinic of dermatology specialists (49.4%), while lowest among those treated at oriental herbal medicine clinics (38.4%). Many participants were aware that oriental herbal medicine requires a longer treatment period for a cure and does not burden the skin, while steroid phobia was seen in most of participants. Conclusion: Physicians need to educate AD patients and their parents about the disease and its treatment. Misconceptions for Western medicine and oriental herbal medicine among AD patients and parents should be corrected to improve their prognosis. (Ann Dermatol 28(6) 725∼732, 2016)

In present study, PLL-OCMCh-PEG-FA (POCPF) was prepared to apply the cell targeting gene delivery carrier. The POCPF copolymer was characterized by 1-proton nuclear magnetic resonance ( 1 H-NMR). The result indicated that POCPF has been successfully synthesized. The particle size of the POCPF was 188 ~ 320nm, which was measured by DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering). In addition, gel retardation assay showed that the POCPF has potential to bind with pDNA. Also, it showed that POCPF can be protected pDNA from DNase. The gene transfection efficiency of the POCPF was evaluated in HCT119 cells. The result showed that transfection efficiency of the POCPF was better than the OCMCh and PLL (Poly-L-lysine) via receptor mediate endocytosis between FA and FA receptor on cancer cell surface. The results demonstrated that POCPF copolymer is good candidate as a gene carrier for gene therapy.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>An iron-based oxygen carrier can convert natural gas into chemicals (syngas or hydrogen) with controlled CO<SUB>2</SUB> emission in a redox process. Mixed ionic-electronic conductor (MIEC)-supported iron oxides have shown high catalytic activity by facilitating inward O anion diffusion. However, their durability has been tested under limited conditions, and key factors affecting the degradation of MIEC-supported iron oxides have rarely been identified. In this work, we find that the inherent redox stability and electronic conductivity of the support material are decisive properties that determine the redox stability and activity of iron oxide/MIEC composites, such as perovskite-type La<SUB>0.8</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.2</SUB>FeO<SUB>3−δ</SUB> and fluorite-type Ce<SUB>0.9</SUB>Gd<SUB>0.1</SUB>O<SUB>2−δ</SUB>, over 100 redox cycles with the redox pair Fe – Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> at 900 °C. The low redox stability of the Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>/La<SUB>0.8</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.2</SUB>FeO<SUB>3−δ</SUB> composite oxygen carrier is closely related to that of La<SUB>0.8</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.2</SUB>FeO<SUB>3−δ</SUB> and the extreme redox environment. The increased electronic conductivity of Ce<SUB>0.9</SUB>Gd<SUB>0.1</SUB>O<SUB>2−δ</SUB> under reducing conditions enhances the reaction rate. However, the low electronic conductivity of Ce<SUB>0.9</SUB>Gd<SUB>0.1</SUB>O<SUB>2−δ</SUB> under oxidizing conditions (5 × 10<SUP>−4</SUP> S/cm at 750 °C) progressively promotes the formation of iron oxide product layer, resulting in low syngas selectivity (H<SUB>2</SUB>/CO > 2). The damages on buildings and urban facilities caused by disaster from climatic change is unpredictable. Moreover, the scale and power of disaster are totally different from what we have undergone. so it's almost hard to cope with. According to climate changing, the grade of natural disaster getting worth. It is really dangerous fact in point that natural disaster like flood causes to cut off the urban energy supply, municipal lifeline, and bring the emergency to city. As the sudden urbanization and centralization, damage is serious. It's an important theme to secure its function in the urban environmental engineering field about buildings which are thought it's important just like business, a hospital and a government office in case of emergency. It's possible to utilize a concept of a safe household and apply it by a casting plan of emergency energy demand and supply in an urban area for high urban function town‘s preparation in the time of disaster. In this paper, when natural disaster in an urban area with climatic change, for proposing to introduce a concept of safe house and safe housing as a building including a concept of special dwelling of the restored dimension. we search not also maintenance of function in a building but the order of priority-like plot of emergency energy demand and supply between the building in the city and we'll prepare basic material in a safe area and a safe house as management system of the city unit about emergency energy securement and system of supply and demand.

Soil contamination with heavy metal(loid)s has increasingly become a serious global environmental issue in recent years with considerable efforts made to remediate the contaminated soils. Interest in using biochar as a soil amendment is increasing because of its capacity to adsorb metal(loid)s and organic pollutants. This study investigated the effect of hairy vetch (HV) and poultry manure biochars (PMBC) (2% w/w) at 450 and 700℃ on the availability of arsenic (As) and cadmium (Cd) to earthworms ( Eisenia fetida) in a highly contaminated As soil. The bioavailability of As and Cd to earthworms was determined bymortality and avoidance tests. Biochars reduced the extractable As and Cd by 45-89% in treated soils. Weight loss of worms was observed in all the treatments. The mortality percentage reduced by 70-80% in biochars compared to control. Biochars PMBC 700, and HVBC 450 greatly reduced the metal(loid) accumulation in worm tissues compared to control. In the avoidance test, earthworms preferred the low-temperature biochars compared to the high-temperature soils. The worms partially selected both the treatments when placed between the control and biochars which may be due to presence of metal(loid)s in biochars. The availability of metal(loid)s to earthworms varied between the biochars (feed stock and temperature), therefore, care must be taken during the selection of amendments to remediate contaminated soils.

When you lose the function of the government office, the economic loss lifesaving, emergency restoration, safety confirmation, etc. In this study, refers to the emergency cut off and power shortages due to the disaster and disaster, and renewable energy for functional maintenance of important equipment for functional maintenance of equipment due to the delay of the recovery time of emergency government buildings it is intended to study measures to take advantage of, and to ensure the reliability of the emergency power supply.
