We described three cases of immediate reimplantation of a frozen-thawed autogenous mandible composed of a mixture of iliac bone, marrow, and particulate hydroxyapatite in tumors of the mandible. Acceptable outcomes were obtained in three patients who underwent immediate autogenous mandibular graft reconstruction. The conditions leading to successful outcome of the procedure are also discussed. Reimplantation of frozen autogenous lesioned mandible was performed in three patients with mandibular tumors. Two reimplanted grafts survived without complications following surgery. One case had postoperative infection that resolved with appropriate antibiotic treatment. There were no recurrences of the primary lesions. Satisfactory facial contour after surgery was achieved. These results are most promising, and we believe that, with further refinement, this technique will offer a new and acceptable modality for facial reconstruction in patients with cancer.

In 2012, K-water constructed 41 new hydropower generators (50 MW) as part of "The Four Major Rivers Restoration Project". K-water has designed and established a remarkable integration system for the project. The system consists of 1 Headquarter, 5 Control Centers and 16 power plants. The main features of the system are redundant network service, hot-standby function for main servers, triple network circuits, intrusion prevention system for anti-viruses, real-time measuring of generation, partial discharge monitoring of rotors, etc. Moreover, it is not an independent system but rather a working as a part of GIOS.

Strain DS4, a soil microorganism producing an oxygen radical-generating antibacterial substance, bruceanol B, was isolated, and cultural conditions for the antibiotic production were optimized. Bruceanol B was separated by ethyl acetate extraction, silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatographies, and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The highest antibacterial activity was obtained from medium containing 1.5% soluble starch and 2.0% yeast extract, cultured at $30^{\circ}C$ for 3.5 days.

Numerical analysis information will be very useful to improve fluid system. General information about an internal gas flow is presented by numerical analysis approach. Relating with hydrogen compressing system, which have an important role in hydrogen energy utilization, this should be a useful tool to observe the flow quickly and clearly. Flow characteristic analysis, including pressure and turbulence kinetic energy distribution of hydrogen gas coming to the cylinder of a reciprocating compressor are presented in this paper. Suction-passage model is designed based on real model of hydrogen compressor. Pressure boundary conditions are applied considering the real condition of operating system. The result shows pressure and turbulence kinetic energy are not distributed uniformly along the passage of the Hydrogen system. Path line or particles tracks help to demonstrate flow characteristics inside the passage. The existence of vortices and flow direction can be precisely predicted. Based on this result, the design improvement, such as reducing the varying flow parameters and flow reorientation should be done. Consequently, development of the better hydrogen compressing system will be achieved.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We retrospectively analyzed the results of hypomethylating therapy in 586 patients (azacitidine in 423 and decitabine in 163) with International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS) lower-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The patients were reclassified with newer scoring systems (revised IPSS [R-IPSS], revised WHO classification-based Prognostic Scoring System [R-WPSS], and Lower Risk Prognostic Scoring System [LR-PSS]), and 21.8–38.4% of patients had high or very high risk features by the newer scoring systems. Median overall survival (OS) was 27.3 months and newer scoring systems well stratified the patients in terms of OS (R-IPSS, <I>P</I> =0.001; R-WPSS, <I>P<</I> 0.001; LR-PSS, <I>P<I> <</I> </I> 0.001). Hematologic improvement (HI) was observed in 279 patients (47.6%). OS differed by the achievement of HI (39.4% vs. 36.2%, <I>P</I> =0.067). The differences were significant only in patients of intermediate or high risk group by LR-PSS (<I>P</I> =0.034) or R-IPSS (<I>P</I> =0.018). In summary, IPSS lower-risk MDS included a broad range of prognosis, and hypomethylating therapy induced HI in approximately half of the patients. Achievement of HI was associated with longer survival, especially in patients with intermediate or high risk features by newer scoring systems. Hypomethylating therapy seems to have potential benefits in IPSS lower-risk MDS.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Some IPSS lower-risk patients had high risk features by newer scoring systems. </LI> <LI> IPSS lower-risk patients were well stratified by newer systems for survivals. </LI> <LI> Hematologic improvement was observed in 48% after hypomethylating therapy. </LI> <LI> Achievement of hematologic improvement was associated with longer survival. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
